Avene Cleanance Hydra Soothing Cream 40ml

This is a beautiful moisturizer for acne prone skin . My skin was over dried by using too many harsh cleansers and this re balanced and moisturized my skin back to normalcy in about 2-3 days . It’s very hydrating but not greasy and soothing. Im so glad I tried it and will continue to use it for the winter as my moisturizer. I am acne prone and sensitive this really calmed my skin down and repaired my mositure barrier.

I am on Tretinoin so my skin gets very dried out from it despite me having a sizable and expensive moisture lotion collection that I religiously use. This must just be formulated in a way to specifically help with dry skin from acne medication (as that’s what it says on the box it’s for) but it manages to be deeply moisturizing while also not sitting heavy on the skin which can obviously lead to more breakouts with thick creams. If you have skin that is not on acne medication but is sensitive and dry then I would still recommend it. It’s an affordable price and a great product and formulation.

I started using this cream because my dermatologist recommended it after starting taking Accutane to treat my acne. Because of the treatment my skin became extremely dry, irritated and literally nothing would help me. This is really the only cream that would moisturize my skin and sooth it. I'm not on accutane anymore but still use only this cream. Texture is really nice and smooth, thin, but really moisturising.

Absolute love this product

I have been using this face cream for more than ten years now and it never disappoints me! It gives the needed comfort for dry irritated skin, it moisturizes well. If used with the thermal water it’s just a perfect light solution to dry and tired skin.

Favorite Avene Product Thus Far

Avene Products I've tried: XeraCalm A.D Lipid-Replenishing Cleansing Oil, Hydrance AQUA-GEL, Clean-Ac Soothing Cream, Skin Recovery Cream. Out of everything I've tried, this product is my favorite thus far. The lotion is very lightweight - even more so than the Hydrance Aqua-Gel, which is surprising. I also feel it's the most hydrating. It doesn't sit on the skin and absorbs easily. I feel this could be used by almost anyone, not just those using acne products. While I'm ranking the products I've tried, I'd rate the XeraCalm A.D Lipid-Replenishing Cleansing Oil second. It's honestly a close tie as a favorite with the Clean-AC Soothing Cream and great to use together. As of now, those are the two Avene products I wouldn't hesitate to purchase again.

My son uses this as a moisturizer for his face. He has acne and the Retin-A he was using to treat his acne was drying up his skin. I bought this for him to use to help keep his face moisturized during Retin-A treatment. He loves it so much that he asked for me to repurchase this product after he finished the first tube. It is not too heavy and light enough for my teenage son to use. Scent is light as well.

Not for my dry skin

I have dry, irritated and blemish-prone skin - all the things this cream is advertised for. Upon first use, the cream felt great. My skin looked smooth and somewhat matte in comparison to what it looks like with other moisturizers. In the long run however, this product only made my skin drier. It was simply not enough moisture for my dry and irritated skin. especially when used in combination with products such as BP and tretinoin. I am keeping it however, in the event that I end up in a more humid climate at any point. I think it might work better then. But sadly, for me personally, it just did not cut it.

Reduce side effect

I’m currently on oral Isotretinoin(Accutane-Aknenormin) treatment since 1.5 months ago. This definitely help me reduce the side effect of dryness and any subsequent discomfort. More importantly it does not cause my acne to breakout like some other face cream will for me. If you are on Isotretinoin treatment as well, definitely consider buying this.

Soothing & Hydrating moisturizer

Unfortunately, in my lovely 40s, I started to have cystic/nodular acne. The acne medications and treatments have been harsh on my skin & caused it to get excessively dry, itchy, & red. This moisturizer has done an amazing job at reducing all of the negative side effects from the treatments. It is by far the best moisturizer I've used that has helped to soothe, calm, and hydrate my skin. My make up applies so much better now! I also love the soft scent of this product.

Was looking for a moisturizer

Was looking for a moisturizer to replace the tolerance control cream they discontinued. This moisturizer has fragrance. It burned my skin when I put it on and turned my face red. Do not use if you have sensitive skin. Will not repurchase.
