Most of my life, I’ve had oily skin so I would’ve never used a product like this. But now I am going to be 53 years old this year and I noticed that my tinted serum looks like it sits on top of my skin, and looks like a dried lakebed with crevices and cracks all over the place. My skin looked very dry and yet it was still oily in my T-zone. I had heard a lot about this moisturizer so I gave it a try and it’s been a wonderful addition to my morning routine. I wash my face, use a regular serum, and then I apply this. Then I put my tinted serum and I get it smooth even application and coverage that lasts through the day. Total game changer. It did not take away the dermatitis that I already live with, so it’s not a miracle cure for that.

I've been struggling with acne for years and tried everything you can imagine; tretinoin, doxycycline, bactrum, clindamycin, 2 rounds of isotretinoin, etc. This cream has helped me through all of it. On isotretinoin it was my saving grace and now that I am currently on a retinoid it has restored moisture to my skin without breaking me out. Even though I consider my skin oily, this cream keeps my skin healthy and my skin barrier in tact without overloading my skin with moisture. It leaves my skin feeling healthy and healed. Even though this cream is for extremely dry skin I have found it perfect for my oily, acne-prone skin.

Difficult to squeeze bottle

I love this cream but I'm not a fan of the packing style. I don't have any mobility issues or health conditions that affect my hands. Nevertheless it's very uncomfortable to be squeezing this tube to be able to use it. If you don't want this avoid the product because there's no way to get the lid out and/or open the tube any other way. I've been buying Avene products for decades and have no idea why they created this amazing product in such a challenging package. It's like dealing with a classic tube of toothpaste only 3 times larger...The cream is magnificent, thick and emollient. I've used it to help heal crack feet, over-washed hands, occasional scars after the cats have scratched my legs and as weekly facial treatments. It works beautifully restoring elasticity, aiding with itching and protecting the outer skin layers. It also has a nice smell and it lasts a long time because a little goes a long way. I recommend it for adults and I'm guessing it could also be used for babies and kids' minor skin irritations. When Avene decides to sell it on a "normal" bottle/tube then it would be a five star for me.

This past year has been horrible for my family's skin. I think we've really contributed to a lot of our dry skin/eczema skin problems unknowingly, and had gotten it a good bit under control before using Avene, but the dry skin prevailed with a few persistent eczema patches. My persistent patch in my elbow creases, my baby on his ankle and neck, and my son nummular patches on his feet and legs. Our other eczema creams, while very helpful in stopping major flares, just didn't get us all the way. Dr. Dray on yt has this as one of her recommended products for dry skin. Oh. my. goodness. My other son still has nummular eczema, that stuff is about a year of a flare on average, so let's not pretend there is any magic, but it's much improved and he also loves his new soft skin. Welp....long story short I developed mast cell activation syndrome recently after a bad bout of contact dermatitis or something similar from using Redken Bonding Conditioner. I can use only 5% of all products ever made now. Although I think the balm would have been better for my skin I chose this scared the balm would be greasy. This is a "light medium" moisture level, its thick and not watery (think about same thickness of cerave cream but less slip and spreads thinner). This is not perfect for me but I can use basically nothing now so I am very thankful. Maybe the balm is perfect. Think I will get next payday. It softens, heals, seems to keep most itching more manageable and seems to get better w more use. But it did not take long to get relief. For me, if I use it when skin is not damp it stings a wee bit upon application but dissipates in just a few seconds. But you have to realize that again I'm in a very bad state skin wise now so for you may be different. I love it. It's expensive but I simply can not live without it. Hoping the balm is more moisturizing for me (older skin) l. I have used Dove beauty bar for years and can not use anymore. No cerave, no cetaphil, no gold bond excema, baby dove, vaseline unscented body, no shampoos and conditioners (even vanicream is mildly irritating) and can only use their skin recovery cream (which they discontinued. Grrrr.) Which is a heavy cream and that's how I discovered Avene. I can not use everything in their lineup. Just information to show how great this lotion really is for some people w allergies, eczema, broken skin barrier. I forgot to add results! Skin is plumped, not red, less wrinkles and helps for 12 hours or over. It has not been a cure all for me, but that is impossible and hopefully time will heal me. Mast cell syndrome is a Beast. On multiple strong meds. I'm just really happy they are here. Highly recommended.

Replenishing is an understatement!

So far I am very happy with the results I have experienced with Avene Xeracalm A.D. Lipid-Replenishing Cream. The condition of the skin on my legs was just awful from many years of tanning - not flaky but very dry and patchy. I have tried just about every cream, lotion and oil on the market. While I think this is a tad expensive, I have used more expensive "replenishing" creams that are not so replenishing. The only thing I am not found of is the design of the tube and not being able to get the last drop of cream out towards the end. Otherwise I think this formula is going to become a staple in my daily routine.

Savior for sensitive skin

I have skin condition called couperose. It gets worse during winter and sometimes it can be itchy and irritated. I tried this one recommended by pharmacist that I could use from head to toe. I have dry skin also on my body. After using this for one week every night, I was sold! No more itching, irritating or so much redness on my skin. I also love how it actually absorbs into your skin rather than leaving a film. After using this consistently I didnt even have to apply this every night, since it keeps your skin moisturised for a while. I adore this line🤍

The cream is not the

The cream is not the issue. The container it is in is quite a problem. When it is pumped the cream comes shooting out of the sides of the bottle. This is leading to copious amount of the cream being wasted. This is not an inexpensive item, and unfortunately most if it is going to waste. I do like the product but most of it is going to waste. This has been the issue since I first received the cream. I have not dropped it or done anything to damage the bottle. It came to me defective in whatever way. As a loyal Avene customer I am most disappointed with this situation. Thank you.Ian Bornstein

The search is over!

Recently I have been having disruptively dry skin. By the end of the work day, I will notice skin flaking or my skin will feel uncomfortable and a bit itchy. This is the ONLY lotion that fixes that for both my face and body. Not only that, but it soothes any itching I might be struggling with. It also does not make my face as shiny as some of the other moisturizers that I have tried will. I love how much healthier my skin looks and feels when using it. It is also very gentle and I like that it is sterile therefore does not need preservatives. I am very happy with this moisturizer and want to check out other Avene products now.
