Thanks to the Stellar Product Testing Panel for providing me with this baby bottle set. This is only the second type of bottle that my 11 month old daughter has used since she was 4 months old and I could see that my daughter loved her new Philips Avent Natural Baby Bottle Set with Natural Response Nipple, 9oz.. When I first looked at the packaging that the bottle set came in I felt like packaging was very easy to open, and what was written on the package was easy to read and understand. I was a little disappointed when I went to open the box because it was falling apart. The box was super thin so it would be easy for a bottle to fall out and possibly crack without anyone knowing if this happened in a store. The box was super thin so it would be easy for a bottle to fall out and possibly crack without anyone knowing if this happened in a store. I also did not see any instructions on the box telling the consumer to wash the bottles and after washing out in boiling water for 5 minutes to sterilize. I can say that the bottle also seemed to be wider than other bottles that I seen and I thought it might be a problem for my daughter to have a comfortable grip. It was very easy to assemble and use right away with my daughter. The design of the nipple is very natural and not too big for my daughters mouth to fit on. The nipples that came with the bottles were Flow 3 and I could tell that my daughter was getting frustrated with the milk not coming out fast enough. I did have the Flow 4 nipples and my daughter seemed to be okay with Flow 4. So I would recommend having multiple flow types to see which one your baby would prefer. The best parts about the bottle to me is the responsive tip and the non-drip nipple design. The responsive tip made it very easy for my daughter to drink, swallow and breathe using her natural rhythm. And she was able to turn the bottle upside down and throw it without the milk coming out which is amazing. And normally after my daughter drinks her milk she will have the hiccups due to too much air getting in while drinking, but she did not have any hiccups after using the Philips Avent Natural Baby Bottle. Overall I would highly recommend this bottle to all moms out there.

We received these bottles bottles in the mail as part of the Stellar Product Testing review panel, and had immediate success with them.I'm not sure what it is exactly about the shape of this bottle, but our little guy immediately took to holding them on his own during feeding at only 6 months of age. They have a nice contour that makes it comfortable enough for me to hold them, but whether it was the intent or not he found them easy enough to grasp the bottles with his little baby hands and feed himself, which was impressive to see! Also, the width and breadth of the nipple really seemed to appeal to him. As he's gotten bigger and is eating more he seems to want to eat faster and these bottles with these nipples allow him to get through a larger bottle (these ones hold around 8 oz.) without having to take much more time, and crucially, without getting much air.In fact, the sound the bottle was making was a little bit off-putting at first because it almost sounded like a leak or something, but you could really hear the air escape from the nipple as it was being displaced from the bottle, and not into the babies mouth. This is made the after-feed burp smoother and more comfortable than some other bottles. They have a nice design and are easy to assemble and take apart the components for cleaning, as is expected. That's not unique to the Philips Avent bottle, but it's a good quality nonetheless. Being able to pull the silicone nipple out of the cap to ensure there's no part of the design for germs to get trapped is a nice feature even though common among most bottles we have used. All in all, I really have nothing negative to say about these bottles. They may not seem all that different from of the other parents may come across but they were certainly easy to use, nice to look at, comfortable to hold, convenient to clean, and apparently pleasing to hold even for a 6 month old baby!

The natural response nipple is designed such that he can drink, swallow, and breathe as though he normally does when breastfeeding. I don’t have to worry too much about the angle at which I hold the bottle, because he controls the flow. I have found that these bottles allow my son to have decreased spit ups and be less gassy. Another thing that I love about them is that these bottles are very simple to clean, just 3 simple pieces (not including the cap. The shape of the bottle makes it easy for me to hold and for my 7-month to hold himself too. The bottles are sturdy and have a wide base so I do not have to worry about the bottle falling over when I place it down (unlike some other brands). These bottles also do not leak, even when my baby takes control and flings the bottle around, thanks to the no-drip nipple design. Interestingly, the 9 oz bottles that we currently use have the grey markings, but they are faint and hard to see. These 11 oz bottles have much darker grey measurement markings and are much clearer. One thing I do find odd is that the 11 oz bottle cannot be used in the Philips Avent bottle warmer – it’s too tall. The bottle warmer can only warm around 7 or 8 oz of milk due to the compartment size, so this isn’t a knock on the 11 oz bottle but an overall knock on Philips for not considering the compatibility of all its products.

I received this product through the Stellar Product Testing Panel in exchange for my honest review. I used these bottles with my first born from the beginning and he always did really well with them and appeared very comfortable. For some reason, I decided to try out other bottles with my second born who is now 3.5 months old. Those bottles and nipples always seemed to have varying flow rates and our baby would often spit up or seem uncomfortable when feeding. For context, my baby is currently 3.5 months and has been exclusively formula fed since around 8 weeks old. For context, my baby is currently 3.5 months and has been exclusively formula fed since around 8 weeks old. He only ever nursed for about two weeks and then received breastmilk via a bottle after that. When we tried out the Philips Avent Natural Baby Bottles my baby immediately appeared SO much more comfortable while eating and was even able to hold the bottle a little bit on his own. The transition to theses bottles and nipples was seamless and my baby appeared even happier while feeding. I am personally very slow to advance the nipple sizes for my kiddos so we have been using the flow rate that came with the bottles which is 2 and this has worked great for us and my child hasn't seemed to be able to drink too quickly with these. I'd imagine I will transition to the next flow rate in another 2-4 weeks probably and see how he does. These bottles are also very easy to clean and put together and I love that they don't have any extra parts or hard to clean pieces. They have been very easy to travel with and haven't leaked while traveling with our diaper bag or in his backpack to school. I could tell my baby was so much more comfortable eating with these bottles that after just a few days I went out and got more so we made the entire switch to this brand. The only downfall we've found with these bottles are that the tops can be hard to get off. My husband and I don't have many issues getting the tops off but our parents all struggle with the tops when they are watching and feeding our baby. Additionally, when I go to add in the formula powder to the water, there isn't a whole lot of extra room at the top so I have to be careful to not add formula too quickly or some can spill out. This really hasn't been a significant issue for us so we just try to be mindful when adding formula to the water. I'd imagine with the larger 8oz bottles this wouldn't be a big deal as the 4oz are smaller with less room probably.
I really like Phillips Avent natural bottles, and started using them with my second child. I am a nurse, third time mom, and all of our kids have been breast-fed. With our third child, now 5-months old, we were delayed in getting her tongue and lip ties lasered so this meant we struggled with nursing for more than 3 months and implemented bottles of pumped milk early. Because she was struggling with nursing she struggled with these bottles initially as well. I was using ones that were left over from our second child with new newborn nipples. I was grateful to get this set from the Stellar parent product panel to try and review as well as it was a great addition to our collection. I was grateful to get this set from the Stellar parent product panel to try and review as well as it was a great addition to our collection. This was my first time using the smaller Avent bottles-- the smaller bottles are definitely more convenient for traveling however, I typically like the bigger bottles better. Our daughter will sometimes drink 5-6 ounces which means we have to refill them for the end of the feed. This isn't all bad if you're trying to save breastmilk from waste, but an annoying step for an older baby so babies will outgrow this size pretty fast. My only complaint about these bottles is that she really has to lie reclined to be able to get all the milk out - it's hard when she's upright to get that last half ounce. Also, the lids fit a little bit awkwardly on the glass bottles by Phillips that I already had- the collars aren't on as smoothly and it’s hard not to over tighten. (The lids are great with the include bottles, though and definitely still work fine with all my Avent bottles, it just feels like it might be wrong on glass). Note that these bottles are plastic which our daycare prefers, but I preferred to store the milk and heat it in glass bottles so it’s great that Phillips has both plastic and glass bottles in a variety of sizes so that we can keep the same tops and nipples for all the bottles (I have glass 8oz Avent, plastic Avent 8oz and these 4oz). I definitely would have like to have a bottle that was maybe 6 ounces instead of four and eight because it feels like one is too small and one is too big. I have an easier time getting the last of the milk out of the 8 ounce bottle. I love the widemouth so that it fits with my spectra pump and encourages a wide "latch", but if your baby is having trouble nursing he may have trouble with these bottles... which I actually think is a good thing because it can help you identify the problem. It affirmed that these bottles are very consistent with the nursing experience because when my daughter was having trouble nursing, she had trouble drinking from these bottles. She loves them now that she’s not having any trouble nursing and she is not having any trouble with the bottles either and that’s great. Our baby has reflux and these bottles are about the same as nursing - sometimes it's a little easier to get a big burp. I am happy with both the stage two and stage three nipple (comes with size 2). When my baby is tired, she likes the faster flow of the third, but the #2 nipple that comes with it much more closely mimics my flow. I wish they would include the sealing disks, but luckily I had bought them separately. It's important to note that the tops have holes in them so if there is a leak, milk will still come out the top too, so it really only protects the nipple from germs, not the bottle from spills. That said, I haven't had any leaks using them with either included bottles or other Phillips Avent bottles. One benefit of the small size is they are easy for babies to hold - my 5 month old held them up to her mouth on her own today!
While combo feeding between breast & bottles with my 5.5 month old baby, I'm anxious about the transition between bottle and breast (I don't want my baby to refuse the breast) and I'm eager to make sure whatever product we use for bottles is the best on the market so I can continue combo feeding without needing to quit nursing. I have been extremely pleased with the Avent Natural Response nipples in particular, and I'm over the moon with the fact that nursing hasn't been refused once since we started using these nipples exclusively (and I've had only so-so luck with other brands and nipple flows). My little guy gets bottles during the week while I'm working, and he's taken to these bottles and specifically two nipple sizes (4's and 5's) beautifully, and oh my gosh ... I have been extremely pleased with the Avent Natural Response nipples in particular, and I'm over the moon with the fact that nursing hasn't been refused once since we started using these nipples exclusively (and I've had only so-so luck with other brands and nipple flows). My little guy gets bottles during the week while I'm working, and he's taken to these bottles and specifically two nipple sizes (4's and 5's) beautifully, and oh my gosh he's started holding the bottles himself (not super well mind you, but he's trying!) and I love that the shape of the bottles allows him to hold and guide the bottle into his mouth with both hands. It took a few minutes of trial and error the first bottle while we figured out exactly how much of the nipple should be in his mouth to get good purchase, but he got the hang of it immediately after that first bottle. We had a little issue with dripping on our first try, but it was human error (I hadn't pulled the entire nipple through the top, which was completely obvious when I tipped the bottle up and took a look, so it was dripping through the base of the nipple and not through the tip). We haven't had any other dripping, and now that he's moving beyond 8 oz per meal, the 11oz size has really come in clutch. In addition to feeding my baby with these bottles, I also can connect them to my breast pump and pump directly into them, so even when the baby isn't using them, I am, and the size and width of the bottle is perfect for me navigating from my pump to fridge and everything in between. I also love being able to pop the nipple on so quickly without needing a ton of other parts. Cleaning is also a breeze, I use a regular simple bottle brush with a nipple attachment for the nipple, and after a few weeks of consistent use and cleaning, they still look completely brand new and we haven't had any issues. I also really like the feel of the nipple itself, it's soft and pliable, and my baby is also a clear fan.The baby also seems to be comfortable pausing while feeding - he can just take a break without removing the bottle from his mouth, so he seems more adept at feeding from these nipples than other options we've tried.I received these bottles and nipples in exchange for my honest review with Stellar Product Testing and I'm absolutely thrilled I did, I've now hidden all of the other bottles and nipples we had been trying to use prior and I'm much happier!
I only have one “negative” thing to say about this bottle. Compared to our other bottles, it has a bit of a wider base so it fits less nicely in the insulated pockets of our diaper bag with the ice pack we have, but it still does fit and the pocket zips. Now that that’s out of the way, let me tell you why we ended up switching our entire bottle system over to these bottles after trying this one for a couple of weeks. The bottle size is great and it’s even slightly lighter weight than our former bottle, even without that bottle's extra anti-colic parts, but the capacity is still larger. The shape makes it easy for me to hold and even our little one is starting to grab it and hold it herself. The minimal number of parts makes them a breeze to clean, and I don’t even ... The shape makes it easy for me to hold and even our little one is starting to grab it and hold it herself. The minimal number of parts makes them a breeze to clean, and I don’t even mind handwashing them. As a result, when we switched our entire system over to these, I realized we didn’t need as many bottles altogether.I love that I don’t need anything except the lid for traveling because they don’t release milk unless actively compressed/sucked.Additionally, these bottles attach directly to my pump flanges without any additional adapters, and I can use the rings/nipples with the pump collector cups if needed. Now I did say that the wider bottle was a “negative,” but it’s also a positive for me because it’s less messy to clean with a bottle brush. On narrower bottles, the brush will spray soapy water everywhere when I take it out. But since these are wider, there’s no mess.As for the milk flow, our baby did amazing with these natural response nipples. We did end up going up a flow rate (4) than what came with the bottle (3) because she’s nearly 6 months old now. Our little one has laryngomalacia, which means part of her larynx is underdeveloped and sometimes blocks her airway. As a result, she was on premie nipples in our other system until about 2 months old. This also means she can have trouble keeping milk down, especially when it’s coming at her like gangbusters. With the Avent natural response, she controls the pace so there’s no milk dripping out of the corner of her mouth and she’s not getting choked up on it either. We waste far less milk because there’s no constant drip.Bottom line: I wish we would have started out our feeding journey with these bottles because they have saved me so much time, energy and even breastmilk!I was given this baby bottle to try as part of the Stellar Product Testing Panel.
My son loves this bottle! He’s currently 8mo and just started trying to hold the bottle on his own, and having a plastic bottle means it’s light weight enough for him to hold, which is great! We were using the glass version of this bottle previously, and really Iiked it - except for the weight of the bottles. I actually like the plastic one better. I also found the nipple/ring seals better on the plastic than on the glass - less leaks! Woo hoo! My boy really prefers the wide nipples over narrow nipples, maybe because he’s also a breastfed baby - my older kid hated wide nipples but wasn’t breastfed at all, so who knows, each kid is different but that might have something to do with it. I love that it’s a no-drip tip, especially since he’s trying to hold it himself ... MoreMy son loves this bottle! I love that it’s a no-drip tip, especially since he’s trying to hold it himself and often turns it upside down looking at or playing with the bottle. My other bottles that I used with my older son would’ve leaked all over - I used to tip the other bottles to check the temp of the milk on my wrist because they leaked out of the tip, but I have to stick my finger in the bottle to check the temp before putting in the nipple with this bottle because it won’t leaks out of the top at all. I like that it’s more of a paced feeding style nipple, which seems to have helped with spit up. As for ease of cleaning, this bottle is super eaay, only three pieces, no extra vents or other internal parts to clean. Not totally sure how they did it - and every once in a while I find there’s an air build up in the bottle that loosens the cap and can cause spills. That’s one negative for me and lost this bottle a star. I do find that if, when I’m putting the cap on, I turn the cap the wrong way first until it clicks down into the groove, and then turn it the right way, it seems to attach better. I also will open and re-close it if I hear a whining or bubbling sound coming from the bottle, which happens if the trapped air issue occurs.Overall, I really like this bottle. And so does my baby - enough that, after getting one bottle to review, I just bought a full set!I received this Philips Avent Natural Baby Bottle With Natural Response Nipple as part of the Stellar product testing panel in exchange for my honest review.
I was given this bottle set to try as part of the Stellar Product Testing Panel. I tried this bottle on my three month old baby who did not take to a bottle and preferred to breastfeed primarily. However, I noticed immediately the shape being different from the other bottles, include other bottles that claim to have a similar shape as a breast. This bottles shape was actually similar to a breast which made the transition quite easy for my baby. She latched onto it easily and did not fuss while drinking milk (which is unusual as she usually pushes other bottles out with her tongue). The nipples wide shape mimics a breast which means that baby doesn't have to get used to different nipples in her mouth. Another issue I dealt with, with other brands was the dripping of ... The nipples wide shape mimics a breast which means that baby doesn't have to get used to different nipples in her mouth. Another issue I dealt with, with other brands was the dripping of milk. It made everything messy and sticky. This bottle is a no drip which has been fantastic! No leaking milk from the bottle means no sticky baby, no wet tops or sticky hands!Another great feature about this bottle is that the baby can control the flow of milk! They aren't joking when they said it was similar to a breast. I think being able to control the flow and the shape of the bottle really helped my baby take to the bottle, where she has been rejecting all other brands. And we have tried all of them! I think as my baby gets more comfortable with drinking from this bottle, perhaps even changing the nipple to a fast let down one would be really good, however, as she gets used to this for now, being able to control the flow is fantastic to ensure that she doesn't choke on the milk.Overall, the bottle is super convenient. There is nothing extra or fancy to the bottle, it is simple to clean, extremely comfortable to hold, my extremely picky baby approves it, it does exactly what it claims (FINALLY!) and has given me the relief that I can step out of the house without my baby for some "me time" and someone else can feed the baby!Extremely pleased and would highly recommend this to any parent and especially those that are struggling with their kids taking to a bottle!
I recently received the 4 oz. Phillips Avent Natural Baby Bottle Set with Natural Response Nipple from the Stellar Product Testing Panel. I am a working mom of a 6-month-old who up until recently was strictly breastfed or given breastmilk in a bottle. Over the last few weeks, we have started supplementing with formula as well.Initially upon opening the package, I was stoked to see how easy it would be to clean these bottles with only 4 parts compared to the one I currently use that has 6 parts. The bottle, nipple, ring, and cap were extremely easy to clean by hand with a bottle brush or in the dishwasher. This set came with a level 2 nipple which I would say compares to the flow of a level 1 of her current bottle type. Since she’s never used another bottle before, ... MoreI recently received the 4 oz. The bottle, nipple, ring, and cap were extremely easy to clean by hand with a bottle brush or in the dishwasher. This set came with a level 2 nipple which I would say compares to the flow of a level 1 of her current bottle type. Since she’s never used another bottle before, I was nervous about introducing a new bottle to her, but she took it with ease right from the first try. The shape and mechanics of the Natural Response Nipple really mimic that of extracting milk from the breast, giving my daughter an easy time to drink from the Philips Avent bottles. The Natural Response Nipple was a perfect way to make sure my daughter was pace feeding and not drinking more milk at one time than she can handle. I found the level 2 flow to be just right for her. I wish I had used these bottles from the beginning when we were introducing bottles and wanting caretakers to follow a paced-feeding approach. My daughter was able to switch between bottle and breast with these bottles without any concerns. The look of the bottle is aesthetically pleasing and is petite in size. Although it is wide-mouthed, the indentations in the center of the bottle offer a comfortable grip for both me and my daughter who is starting to learn how to hold her bottle independently. The wide-mouth allows for clean dispensing of formula into the bottle, which is an added bonus. On more than one occasion when I warmed up the milk in the bottle, the white ring that goes around the nipple got noticeably warmer than the rest of the bottle - almost hot to the touch. So, be sure to watch out for this or don’t allow the nipple ring to submerge in warm water. I also noticed that when giving my daughter the bottle in her highchair it was difficult to tip the bottle back due to the wide neck, and she had a more difficult time keeping the milk in her mouth, causing a lot of it to dribble down her chin. However, in a traditional cradled position, this is not an issue. When she is extremely eager and sucking hard, I have noticed a strange sound coming from the bottle with each suck. I assume this is part of the venting design of the nipple and is simply air leaving the bottle as she sucks. When there’s ambient noise around, it is not noticeable.Overall, this is a great bottle set that I would recommend for any mom, especially one that is looking for a bottle that is an easy transition from breastfeeding.

Avent Natural Response Baby Bottle 125ml
The Natural Response Nipple releases milk only when baby actively drinks. Babies can drink at their own rhythm like on the breast, so easy to combine breast and bottle feeding. The Natural Response Nipple works with your baby's natural feeding rhythm, making it easy to combine breast feeding and bottle feeding. The nipple has a unique opening which only releases milk when the baby actively drinks. So when they pause to swallow and breathe, the milk pauses too.
