Absolutely TERRIBLE product. Did not function at all, our newborn was unable to get any formula out with either the size 1 or size 2 flow nipples. We used these nipples for our firstborn and they worked wonderful, they have redesigned them and now they are absolute garbage. It took over an hour just to get 1/2 an ounce out and these were the only way we had to feed our newborn once getting home from the hospital. None of the nipples from the package worked at all. Philips customer support was useless and offered no solution. Do yourself and your newborn a favor and buy a different brand. Steer clear of any Philips baby products. I would give this product negative 5 stars if I could.

The nipple truly doesn’t leak and allows baby to control the flow, only passing milk through when she is actively drinking. When the stellar product testing panel sent me this nipple pack, I was curious to see the difference between the old nipple and the new nipple. It had never occurred to me that the lower flow wouldn’t be the same per different nipple line. In fact, went tried a different bottle that had previously worked after using this one (with a narrower nipple), and our baby refused to take it. The natural response nipple just worked so well, and there are minimal parts to clean but also to store/dry, which is a game changer with our already overfull kitchen. Would recommend to anyone, but especially breastfed babies.

I love the shape of the nipple and how soft it is. The nipple never collapsed during feeding and my baby accepted the bottle and nipple the first time. It is also very easy to clean due to the flexibility and wide shape. I can fit my pinky in the tip to clean even without a bottle brush. The natural response nipples are also compatible with the older version of the Avent Natural bottles and the parts are interchangeable.

My daughter has laryngomalacia, which is a floppy voice box that can cause her to choke easier, and these nipples work so well for her. She spits up less often, and she doesn't choke on milk because she can control the pace. Many other brands say they are no drip/leak etc when in reality, they just aren’t. These nipples really have allowed my baby to eat at her own pace. If she needs to pause for a second to just take a break, or even just a breath, the nipple stops the flow of milk completely so she isn’t being force fed. If she needs to pause for a second to just take a break, or even just a breath, the nipple stops the flow of milk completely so she isn’t being force fed. Before using these nipples, I would always have a mess on bibs, clothes, blankets etc because anytime baby would take a break, the milk would immediately leak out of the nipple. I’ve also noticed baby is on a much better feeding schedule. She’s not getting too full, too fast, because the Philips Avent Natural Response nipple allows her to eat at a pace that works for her, which is slow. She was born prematurely so has always been a slow eater. Really wish we would’ve had these from the start because I know she would’ve been a much happier baby. Alternating between breast and bottle has been a breeze. The nipple is so breast like. Shape, feel and flow. The flow stated (we chose flow 4) is very accurate and exactly what the flow should be. Love how easy the nipples are to clean. Wide parts that give you added peace of mind that you are cleaning well and don’t collect hidden buildup. I will be recommending the Philips Avent Natural Response nipple set to all parents, definitely a must have for baby.
