Avent Natural Response Teats 0 Month+ - 2 Pack
Philips Avent Natural Response nipple lets baby control the pace of the milk, like they do when breastfeeding. The nipples' unique opening and tip only releases milk when your baby actively drinks. When pausing to swallow and breathe no milk flows. Baby can drink, swallow, and breathe using their natural rhythm, just like they do when breastfeeding. Easily combine breast and bottle feeding with a wide breast-shaped nipple with a soft feel that mimics the shape and feel of a breast; plus baby controlling the flow of milk. The nipple has a no-drip design which helps prevent lost milk from the tip. An anti-colic valve integrated into the nipple is designed to reduce colic and discomfort by sending air away from your baby's tummy. The Natural response nipples come in flow rates 1-5, to keep up with your baby's growth. Use Philips Avent Natural bottles only with Philips Avent Natural nipples. Includes: 2 Natural Response nipples, flow 1. What to expect when introducing the Philips Avent Natural Response Nipple. It is totally natural for your baby to take 2-3 tries to get milk flowing from a new bottle. Unlike traditional bottles the Natural bottle is designed to only release milk when your baby is actively drinking, like what happens when babies breastfeed. When looking for the right nipple flow rate, age is a guide, but your baby's approach to drinking and the feeding cues they will show will help determine when to move to a higher or lower nipple flow rate.

As a mom who predominantly breastfeeds - this was an important feature for me. The natural response nipple is designed with a unique opening and tip which only releases milk when my baby actively drinks it, there's no spilling here! The no drip tip is perfect for keeping things clean, and especially handy while on the go. I don't ever have to worry about it leaking in our diaper bag, or all over my baby. I do think this feature really helps to reduce gas, and I have noticed a decrease in the amount of burping time. The natural response nipple really mimics the supply and demand of breastfeeding, and it's the best way to combine breast and bottle feeding for my baby. I found that my little one was comfortable using this nipple, and it didn't seem like he struggled to swallow and breathe while feeding. The flow of the nipple is actually perfect for a newborn, as it allows baby to drink, swallow, and breathe in his natural rhythm, much like at the breast (actually better than the breast because of my overactive letdown!). I never found baby to be frustrated with using this bottle, in fact he took to it with great ease! It was such a piece of mind to find a bottle so early that worked so well.I would say the only downside is that because of the double anti-colic valve, it is a touch more difficult to clean than a single layered nipple. But to be quite honest, this is something that I'm willing to deal with to get the results that we have. Thanks again stellar product testing panel for sending this awesome bottle along! Like I said earlier, #gamechanger. For all the new moms out there, you need this! Put it on your registry or put it in your cart yourself, it's that worth it!

Thank you to Stellar Product Testing Panel for providing me with this bottle nipple set. We were pleased to see that they were another product by Phillips Avent, as these are the nipples that we already used on our bottles and like the wide slope of them, which encourages baby to have a better latch. My newborn is a keen drinker and the regular nipples, even with the low flow, I found he was chugging them back and as a result had a lot of hiccups, so we were excited to use these new natural response nipples, which are supposed to be more like drinking from mom. My little guy had troubles figuring these out. He was sucking away, but the first two tries he couldn’t get anything out. My little guy had troubles figuring these out. He was sucking away, but the first two tries he couldn’t get anything out. I noticed on the instructions that they said it was normal for it to take a few tires for them to figure it out. We tried both the lowest flow nipple and the next one up to see if it would make a difference for him, but he struggled and got increasingly frustrated. My baby is 5 weeks and exclusively breast fed, but he has taken Avent bottles for top ups or the rare time I am out. On the third try he was able to start getting milk out. I could tell the difference when he actually got it out that his suck/swallow slowed down and he calmed down. It allowed him to drink slowly, at his own pace. So far though, it takes him a very long time to get through the amount of milk he needs to drink, so I think there is still some learning to do, on his part. We will keep offering it to him and try the different flows to see if we can help him too. I like that with these nipples he isn’t chugging it back and getting the hiccups, but I don’t want it to take him forever to get through a bottle either. I see the potential of this product and am hoping he learns how to use it.

I really like Phillips Avent natural bottles, and started using them with my second child. I am a nurse, third time mom, and all of our kids have been breast-fed. With our third child, now 5-months old, we were delayed in getting her tongue and lip ties lasered so this meant we struggled with nursing for more than 3 months and implemented bottles of pumped milk early. Because she was struggling with nursing she struggled with these nipples/bottles initially as well. I was using ones that I had that were left over from our second child with new newborn 0+ (size 2) nipples. I was grateful to get this set of size 3 nipples from the Stellar parent product panel to try and review as well as it was a great addition to our collection. I was grateful to get this set of size 3 nipples from the Stellar parent product panel to try and review as well as it was a great addition to our collection. This nipple works with Avent collars on Phillips Avent bottles. (I have glass 8oz Avent, plastic Avent 8oz and 4oz plastic Avent bottles). I prefer glass, but daycare requires plastic so the Avent line has been great for us. I love the widemouth of the bottle and the larger nipples so that the bottle fits with my spectra pump and nipple encourages a wide "latch", but if your baby is having trouble nursing he may have trouble with these bottles/nipples... which I actually think is a good thing because it can help you identify the problem. It affirmed that these bottles are very consistent with the nursing experience because when my daughter was having trouble nursing, she had trouble drinking from these bottles. She loves them now that she’s not having any trouble nursing and she is not having any trouble with the bottles either and that’s great. Our baby has reflux and these bottles/nipples are about the same as nursing - sometimes it's a little easier to get a big burp. I am happy with both the stage two and stage three nipple (bottles say 0+ months, and comes with size 2). When my baby is tired, she likes the faster flow of the size 3, but the #2 nipple that comes with it much more closely mimics my flow - I could see the size 3 being too fast for some.I think size 2 nipple is probably good for a baby 0-6 months... might even want to go smaller initially. Size 3 is probably for babies 4 months and older. Because it's on demand I don't think it would cause sputtering or choking, though. I think the labeling is confusing because it says 1m+ but to see the size you have to look at the drops underneath (3 drops = size/stage 3).

I received this product to try out as part of the Stellar Product Testing Panel, but all opinions are my own! When we started to discuss feeding our baby boy, we knew we wanted to breastfeed & bottle feed so that both my husband and I could feed our little guy. We also love the no-drip tip, because getting milk everywhere is not something we want to deal with during any feed, but especially those early mornings! He is able to stop and start at his own speed, which makes feeding more comfortable for both my baby and less stressful for me!Cleaning these nipples has been a breeze. We had previously purchase Avent bottles to use from the start, and the bottle brush that came with our starter pack works great with these nipples. They remain in great shape even after many washings and sanitizing sessions!I would highly recommend these nipples if you are considering breastfeeding/bottle feeding. All my fears of baby having issues taking a bottle instead of the breast were kept at bay as he used these!
Thank you to Stellar Panel for sending us the Philips Avent Natural Baby Bottle With Natural Response Nipple , Clear, 9oz, 1pk, SCY903/91 to test out. We previously used smaller Phillips Avent bottles, and this new 9oz size is perfect for our growing little one. This bottle is great because we had been using a slightly faster nipple for paced feeding for our daughter, but didn’t realize as she has grown up she probably needed to move to a slower nipple to maintain her paced feeding. This bottle is great because we had been using a slightly faster nipple for paced feeding for our daughter, but didn’t realize as she has grown up she probably needed to move to a slower nipple to maintain her paced feeding. This bottle performed well as without paced feeding our daughter’s tongue and lip ties caused her to ingest a large amount of air as she sucked on other bottles, however the texture and flow speed of this nipple and bottle work well for us to maintain the slow pace necessary to ensure she isn’t swallowing large amounts of air at feeding time. This has been especially important at night or for feedings before naps as she would not go down easily until she would burp or spitup several times, which we have not observed at all with this bottle and nipple. Very easy to clean as well and fits in our sterilizer, which is becoming a problem with some larger bottles that are too tall and wide to fit efficiently in the tray. Overall well made and performs as needed to allow paced feeding to ensure our little one gets the milk she needs and minizmizes the upset stomach issues we have had with others that allowed her to suck in excessive amounts of air during feedings. These bottles and the nipple specifically have become a favorite as they minimize this issue and allow for proper paced feeding while helping our daughter to strengthen her jaw and sucking motion. They’re also well designed with a wide mouth and easily disassembled for cleaning. Would definitely recommend given the pickiness we observed when using or refusing to use other bottles.
The overall design if these bottles is great, the ergonomic shape makes it easy for baby to hold, and the nipple shape is more similar to a breast than some other brands we have tried, which is appealing if you will be doing combo feeding of breast and bottle. My daughter is almost one, so after several months using the same brand, she has become a bit more selective about what she likes. Depending on her disposition at the time of the feed, sometimes she loved this nipple/bottle, and sometimes she became frustrated and would take it in smaller amounts with breaks in between to explore the bottle with her hands, tipping it upside down, squeezing the nipple with her fingers, and shaking it, etc as it was something new after many months of sameness and repetition. She did learn how to use the nipple relatively quickly, but at times she would shake the bottle or squeeze the nipple while it was over her face while laying back and it would drip a few drops on her face (understandably), though there were no major spills. The milk also did not leak from any other area or seam, including where the ring attaches the nipple to the bottle, which is a welcome improvement from other bottles we have used. We did find that with the wider nipple, the bottle needs to be tipped relatively far back for the nipple to fill with milk, and now that the baby is older she sometimes will hold the bottle on her own and take it sitting up versus laying back in my arms, which is more difficult with this design as she needs to tip her head and the bottle further to get the last few ounces efficiently. This bottle is incredibly easy to assemble and has minimal pieces, and several times I was able to prepare and assemble the bottle with the baby in my arms without issue, also a welcome improvement from some other bottles we use. The nipple is much more similar to the shape of a breast than the bottles we have used previously, and I wish we had started using this bottle sooner for more successful transition between breast and bottle feeding. We will continue to try to offer this bottle and get her more comfortable using different styles and brands, and I plan to try to introduce it earlier if/ when we have future children. This product was given to me as a part of a Stellar Product Testing Panel.
First off, thank you to Stellar Product testing for providing me with these nipples to try and review!I would like to say that these are hands down my favorite line of baby nipples/products. I have gone through them all from the boob shaped ones to what people hail as the best from Europe. And I have to say, the Philips Avent Natural Flow baby bottles and nipples are hands down the best.Currently in my house we use both #2 and #3 flow nipples. During the day we use the #3 because our little one is awake and alert and she typically has no problems guzzling down her bottle. With every other brand we were always having to struggle to find a cloth to clean up the mess or even worse having to just change our little one’s clothes after feeding because of all the dribble. With the no drip tip we are able to easy pause for whatever reason (to get more comfortable, to burp, or to answer the door) and not have to worry about there being a mess. While feeding the tips also make it manageable for my baby to pause, swallow and take a breath. Everything about the system is easypeezy. As for the nipple itself it is super easy to clean and even better yet, it is easy to tell if it is attached to the bottle correctly when it is time to get ready to eat.Overall, best system yet! Don’t waste your money on anything else.
First and foremost, a huge thank you to the Stellar Product Testing Panel for sending us the Philips Avent Natural Response Nipple Flow 5, 6M+, 2pk to try out!The original nipples that come with the Avent Natural Bottle set are a slower flow and were not as fast as our newly 1 year old son wanted. It was extremely convenient for Avent to have a variety of nipple flow choices available to provide a comfortable feed for him. The wide shape and soft, supple feel of these nipples were similar to what he was used to while breastfeeding.Unbeknownst to us,the previous brand of bottles and nipples we were using were causing our son to suffer from gas, colic issues. The previous brand's nipple flows were either much too slow or fast and did not aerate properly, causing him to have to pause his feeding to breathe or rather swallow too much air while drinking way too fast for the higher flow. Avent provides a variety of affordable and comfortable flows that we have utilized to keep our sons feedings transitioning appropriately with his age and evolving feeding habits. The no-drip tip is an incredibly helpful design, saving us time on cleaning up spills when our son plays with his unfinished bottles or if he accidentally drops them on the floor. They are incredibly easy to clean as well, saving me precious time and money without having to buy extra specialized cleaning tools. We love these Avent Natural Response Nipples from Phillips and recommend them to all caring for little ones!
I received these as as part of the Stellar Product Testing Panel. These are my favorite nipples. My daughter is 9mo old and we've been using these nipples since she was 6mo old. I've known other parents that never gotten the older stages nipples but for our baby, she seemed to take longer to drink at times so we switched it and they were a lot better. These nipples are the level 5 for 6mo+ which are natural response nipples which has a faster flow that the baby controls when drinking, it stops when she stops and doesn't continue dripping like the previous nipples we had that came with the newborn bottles. I would've switched nipples sooner if I knew about these natural response ones cuz when I test the milk with other nipples they squirt out at times which I don't ... MoreI received these as as part of the Stellar Product Testing Panel. I would've switched nipples sooner if I knew about these natural response ones cuz when I test the milk with other nipples they squirt out at times which I don't like and these don't drip unless I press it against my skin and I don't waste any. Also before my daughter would choke/cough a lot when drinking and I would assume it was from drinking too fast but now I know it's from the nipple still leaking out when I think about it because she would still have milk in her mouth when she takes a break to breathe which leaks out. Since I've switched I notice she doesn't have much milk that comes out of her mouth and the bibs are drier. I would highly recommend switching the normal nipples out if they don't have something like Avent's natural response so that baby can stop the milk flow whenever she needs a break because with all my newborn baby's, Dr Brown's, Comotomo, Nuk, etc, they would all still leak when turned upside down but not with these nipples.
***I had submitted a review last week but I keep getting emails that I need to submit a review so this could be duplicate but also a little different because I didn't save my last draft.***Thank you Stellar Product Testing Panel for providing me with this bottle and nipple set to test. The Philips Avent bottle with Natural Response Nipple is a life saver. It had a lot of pieces which is very time consuming to disassemble, clean and reassemble, multiple bottles a day. It would also continually drip formula even when our baby wasn't sucking, which would lead to some choking, especially during night feeds. The Philips Avent bottle is so simple and I was skeptical at first. It's 3 piece design (not including the cap) is very easy to disassemble, clean and reassemble. The wide Natural Response Nipple makes it very easy for our baby to latch on and only releases formula when our baby is sucking. This has almost eliminated any choking. The nipple is so good even when I held it upside down and shook it, nothing came out! This should help reduce spills if the bottle tips over without the need for an additional piece.I like that the bottle has various nipple flow options. We tried the 1m+ that the bottle came with but ended up switching to the 0m+ so he would drink a little slower but I think we'll be moving back to the 1m+ and other flows as he gets older.I also like that the bottle comes in various sizes, colors and even glass. The ergonomic bottle design is very easy to hold onto and carry. We will definitely be purchasing Philips Avent bottles with the Natural Response Nipples going forward.Thank you again, Stellar Product Testing Panel!
