A fantastic sling that was great from birth to the toddler stages! We found it really comfortable to wear both for short trips out or for longer walks. It did take us a bit of getting used to to understand how to adjust the straps and wear it comfortably but there’s several videos to help you and once we got the hang of it, it was easy to work out. My children were always happy and comfortable in the sling and it has the option for facing inwards or outwards. I always felt my baby/toddler was very secure in it and it was a very convenient way of travelling. It’s a great brand and one we would recommend.

Beats Other Brands

As a mum, I wanted a carrier that was comfortable and easy enough to do by myself. I went to the Oxford street store and tried on a few other brands and as soon as I put this carrier on, I knew it was the one I wanted. Firstly, this carrier doesn't have push clips like the others and this made the biggest difference because I found with the the push clips, I was faffing for too long trying to clip them or undo them. It just took too much time and I knew my baby would get frustrated. I also felt the other carriers with push clips have so many parts to them that you get confused whereas this babybjorn one is easy to put on as you just slip it over your head and have a hook to connect the belt part, then the clips on this one are much easier as they just slide into ... MoreAs a mum, I wanted a carrier that was comfortable and easy enough to do by myself. The air mesh is also extremely comfortable and soft for baby.

Don’t buy

This sling has caused so much frustration in the three years I’ve used it. There are so many buckles and straps and ways to adjust it that I just didn’t bother for the first few months of my firstborn. Then when I did start to use it my baby was constantly wonky - there didn’t seem to be any easy way to get her straight. With my second born I tried it again and it’s been a nightmare all over again. Way too many ways to adjust it I don’t know what half the buckles are for, and the buttons on the front to adjust the height around the baby’s neck keep popping open when I’m walking. I honestly can’t express how much I hate this sling. Just get an artipoppe.

I am a mum of two (6 months and 3 years) and carry my youngest daughter everyday. For the first couple of months I used a stretchy wrap. Although the BabyBjorn Carrier One is suitable from birth (3.5kg and above) I don't think a structured carrier offers the same support as a wrap but having said that for those wanting to use it from the start, not having to buy a separate newborn insert is a big positive.In addition to the BabyBjorn I also have a Connecta. The BabyBjorn is a great carrier particularly for those who are inexperienced with baby wearing as it's really easy to put on and get baby in. Once you're used to them, the clips are very secure and easy to use. It's a comfortable carrier with padded straps and waist band. Having said that it's very bulky. My Connecta folds up and fits in my changing bag which makes it far more practical for when I'm out and about. I also prefer the thinner material of the Connecta when I'm carrying under my baby wearing coat.In terms of carrying position, my daughter is comfortable in both and her hips are well supported. The position of the straps at the top on the BabyBjorn means that her arms are pinned out to the sides which is not ideal if she's sleeping. There are a number of different carrying positions. As of yet I've only carried her on my front facing me. We will back carry when she's older and although she's old enough to carry facing outwards (not an option with the Connecta) I do not feel that her hips are supported in this position and so it's not something I personally will be doing. I still carry my eldest daughter in my Connecta from time to time but by the time she was 3 she had already exceeded the maximum 15kg carrying weight of the BabyBjorn.Overall, the BabyBjorn is a practical yet stylish looking unisex carrier. It comes with a fairly hefty price tag but for that you get a well-made carrier that is easy to use and is comfortable for both baby and mum or dad (as my partner can vouch for).

Lovely carrier but forward facing does not work

We bought this carrier when our daughter was a few weeks old and absolutely loved it when she was facing inwards. She is now 6 months so we have started trying to use the forward facing position - unfortunately this is where this carrier fails. The flap on the carrier does not stay down it just keeps popping back up and covering our baby’s face! Not sure if our carrier is just faulty but very disappointed for the amount of money this cost.

My 6-week old baby and I, love it!

Being a new parent, I was a bit skeptic about how my 6 week old will react being in a baby carrier instead of a pram, for a couple of hours. She absolutely loves it! We both do.She falls asleep almost instantly, even when she’s grumpy, and I have my hands free to go shopping.
