Bought the black, slim fit, medium, which fits me well, my chest size being 40. Very waxy at the moment, but I believe it will 'dry out' with a bit of time. Have to keep it covered because the wax attracts dust and fluff. The excellent craftsmanship is evident everywhere, in the inner lining, the stitching and the studs. When fully buttoned up, not even Aeolus at his most bad tempered will be able to get through! However, I plan to wear it open - indoors - as fully done up the appearance is quite severe, somewhat martial. Given sufficient care, this jacket should last more than the average adult lifetime, its comforting weight a testament to the high quality of the material. Great jacket, classic styling and practical too. Decent sized inner pocket which can accommodate a smart phone safely.Lightweight for spring, autumn and summer evenings and likely good in the winter too because of the quilted lining but probably not on the coldest days unless you layer.Now a word on the sizing.Do not get your regular size. Other reviewers have mentioned the size discrepancies so, although normally an XL, I went for the XXL. Even so, the fitting feels slightly tighter than a normal XL, so that should be noted when ordering. Go for a size larger than you normally need. That aside, the jacket is well made, warm and comfortable. I have several for walking my dog; this is probably an early spring coat rather than winter if you are going to be out for some time. I bought from JulesB and everything about the purchase and delivery experience was very good. Recommended.

Ive had a mind to buy one of these for a while now and having the 'pay in 3' flexibility clinched it for me. The fit is snug and you can feel the quality immediately. Dont mistake any stiffness for bad manufacturing - ive had stuff like this before and im certain that within a month this will be one of the most comfortable jackets i own.Very happy with my purchase.
Top quality jacket; highly recommended. Would strongly advise reading the reviews here and buying a size up from your normal size. Unless you’re unusually svelte, a normal size is likely to be a tight fit. I don’t think I’m a huge XL, but the 2XL is a perfect fit.
I bought this for my hubby for Christmas but he didn’t get it till end of January as couldn’t find the right one! So when I dropped on this he was so pleased.I would recommend going down a size as Barbour clothes seem to be quite generous unlike a lot of other designer clothes, cut properly instead of skimping.Fits him perfect and got to say he does look good in it too!
The unexpected heatwave in March this year caught me by surprise, especially when I looked in my coat cupboard for something light to wear and found nothing suitable. This 4oz Barbour has plugged that gap; it's perfect for warm spring/autumn and cooler summer weather. Unfortunately the temperature has now plunged back into single figures so the jacket is staying in my cupboard for now!The sand colour is very smart indeed. Fairly longs sleeves but these have a narrow opening and a press-fastening so won't slip over the hand.Note to those unfamiliar with Barbour sizing: This Lightweight Duke is a tailored fit so potentially size up and don't expect to be able to wear over a gillet or thick wool jumper in winter weather.
As far as coats / jackets go I’ve always worn North Face but wanted something a bit smarter but still functional and casual and this jacket is perfect and is GORGEOUS!!! onI’m glad I took notice of previous reviews regarding sizing and sized up and bought XL My Chest Measurement is 41”/42” and I’m 5ft 8”If you want a tight figure hugging snug fit buy the Large but if like me you want a smart casual comfortable fit with the jacket hanging beautifully when open and comfortable but slightly loose when zipped then go for the XL as in my opinion it looks stunning when slightly looser in fitThe quality is superb loads of pockets and as for the zip which some said was odd it’s similar to North Face Coats which have a double lock zip to enable you to unzip in reverse ... First off the Jacket is superb Quality and Looks Great in the very very dark Green.However the sizing leaves a lot to be desired especially as supposed to be a tailored fit.Let me elaborate. Having read the reviews saying go larger upto twice your expected size i went for the Large especially as it stated the model was wearing the medium and they were 37inch chest, although i though the small would fit but was going to go for the medium.Large Arrives and its massive on me, no tapering to the waist really needs a waist belt like the international.Im 5ft 10inch and broad shouldered but slim waist having got down from a 44 inch chest to 41 inch and now 40 inch chest with a 32 inch waist this is real world size actual physical size not clothing size. Great jacket as usual from Barbour. I bought in black, it has a black lining, quilted so will be a warmer option with one internal zipped pocket. 4 pockets to the front, 2 lower ones, bellows with ventilation/drainage. Great waxing and quality finish with subtle branding to the left arm and left lower pocket. Adjustable storm neck with corduroy lining, adjustable cuff closure too.Make sure you go a size bigger than usual, Barbour not overly generous in sizing, especially if you want to wear with a jumper underneath. I have bought this to replace my Barbour Poachers Jacket I bought 30 years ago, which has served me brilliantly.
