Barbour International Duke Wax Jacket - Sage Green

Bought the black, slim fit, medium, which fits me well, my chest size being 40. Very waxy at the moment, but I believe it will 'dry out' with a bit of time. Have to keep it covered because the wax attracts dust and fluff. The excellent craftsmanship is evident everywhere, in the inner lining, the stitching and the studs. When fully buttoned up, not even Aeolus at his most bad tempered will be able to get through! However, I plan to wear it open - indoors - as fully done up the appearance is quite severe, somewhat martial. Given sufficient care, this jacket should last more than the average adult lifetime, its comforting weight a testament to the high quality of the material. Decent sized inner pocket which can accommodate a smart phone safely.Lightweight for spring, autumn and summer evenings and likely good in the winter too because of the quilted lining but probably not on the coldest days unless you layer.Now a word on the sizing.Do not get your regular size. Other reviewers have mentioned the size discrepancies so, although normally an XL, I went for the XXL. Even so, the fitting feels slightly tighter than a normal XL, so that should be noted when ordering. Go for a size larger than you normally need. That aside, the jacket is well made, warm and comfortable. I have several for walking my dog; this is probably an early spring coat rather than winter if you are going to be out for some time. I bought from JulesB and everything about the purchase and delivery experience was very good. Recommended.
