Another level

I like a single malt whiskey and a bourbon. This takes bourbon to another level, you can taste the quality. It's warming and smooth. You can mix it or on ice but I really like it straight. The bottle looks really expensive, with the metal band. Wonderful gift for others or just a treat for yourself. I will definitely be treating myself again when this has gone.

Great light bourbon

I love a whisky or bourbon on an evening. To be honest though, I'm much less well versed in bourbon, generally liking something like Eagle Rare but though I'd give this a go and I'm glad I did. It's easy drinking with no harsh after taste. I have this neat and it goes down really nicely. Think this might become my go to bourbon now for when I want a change from scotch. Love the bottle too and think it would a great gift!,

Impressive bourbon

I really like this bourbon. I've been a long time fan of Jim beam anyway and have only recently become aware of basil hayden in the company's portfolio. The whisky is full flavoured but not overpowering with its sweetness and I enjoyed it over ice. To me this is a lovely sipping whisky, no need to add a mixer but I can see how some people enjoy what it brings to their favourite whisky cocktail. It also comes in a very impressive bottle and will look great displayed in my collection. It is not the cheapest bourbon going but the price is by no means extortionate and I think it is good value for money. I will definitely be restocking when I run out.

In this case, it's all in the name. If you like the Basil Hayden profile and you like toasted bread, you'll probably like this. It isn't complex, it's quite straightforward.
