Baxter of California - After Shave Balm - 120ml

I've used l'Occitane after shave balm for some time and have been a big fan of its ability to keep my really sensitive neck skin refreshed and not full of razor burn. However, the last time I purchased it I didn't seem to have the same success as was normal. This turned into several hours of research review reading and the purchase of Baxter's aftershave balm. Let me tell you this stuff is unbelievable. For someone with sensitive skin this stuff crushes anything else I've tried. It does smell like lemons as others have mentioned but that issue pales in comparison to its ability to sooth and moisturize freshly shaven skin. The smell dissipates relatively quickly anyways. The price for the quantity you get is pretty hard to beat for such a high quality product.I would highly recommend this to the sensitive skin guys out there. I can even avoid a pre shave routine and still not have any razor burn with this stuff.

The perfect end of shave procedure. All natural and kind to sensitive skin - very little product required to provide calming and soothing with a faint, pleasant aroma. Somewhat expensive but long lasting. I have reordered 3-4 times and will continue to do so.

I purchased this for my boyfriend. It didn't have the drying stinging alcohol feeling like most aftershave does. Light pleasant scent. This aftershave doubles as a moisturizer so it keeps his skin smooth and soft.

Add this one to your shaving regimen!

Have tried several balms and this is my seasonal favorite - typically use it during warmer months. It has a light and refreshing feel and goes on easily. Not very 'lotionally' which I like. Glad to see it back in stock.

Alcohol-free quality after shave balm

Love that there is no alcohol base in this after shave. It is refreshing to apply after shaving and a little goes a long way. There is a pleasant smell to the balm too, something that cannot be said for store bought balms. The price is a little high, but it's a quality product that soothes my face which tends to be sensitive to too many shaves. This is my go-to after shave.

Good product, but not what I expected

This is a good after shave balm but it is not exactly what I wanted. This after shave balm has that "menthol" type zing when applied. I missed that in the description. In the description it is described as "cooling" feeling. That cooling effect to me, feels a bit on the "burning" kind of feeling. It is something I try to avoid in after shave balms. I just missed it in this one. However this is a good product if you like that "zing/sting" feeling for an after shave balm. It is not for me. I prefer something that is more soothing rather than cooling. And I like a bit of smooth feeling at the end of application with just a bit of the product still left on my face. Husband loves it

My husband loves this. He shaved everyday and this helps cool good face down. Plus it smells really good. I've brought at least 3 boxes of this so far. A little goes a long way

Lovely fragrance and feel on the skin

I've bought this product several times. It has a lovely, subtle fragrance. It feels good on my sensitive skin, and it seems to protect my skin during the day better than other products.

My new favourite after-shave

I have sensitive skin and stay away from traditional after-shaves, especially anything with alcohol. This balm is perfect. It's soothing, light, and gentle. The scent is quite medicinal, but I personally love that in my grooming products. It doesn't have a long-lasting harsh scent that permeates your pillow case like some other after-shaves do. This is up there with Jack Black's Post Shave Cooling Gel and because I find it a bit less sticky, is probably my new #1 after-shave product.

Product was NOT as described and Not what i ordered.

I reviewed the info on this product as a replacement for my " Leather & Wood" and info stated product was a after shave "Balm" and it also stated same on product tube. Not so, the product I received was a gel and due to the warm weather was partially liquid and soft gel. Not what I wanted nor what I ordered. I have used this runny gel 3 times and it remains sticky on my face for a long time. What can I do about this product as it is of no use to me? and certainly not what I expected to get.
