Baxter of California Super Close Shave Formula (240ml)

A bit tricker to apply. To apply it properly wet your shaving brush. Swipe your shaving brush across the top of it two to three times. You won't be able to see a cream on the brush but, it is actually in the water that you wet your brush with. Once the brush has the shaving cream on and in it, brush it on your freshly washed face. After all that has been done, you are ready to shave. If you apply it that way, a whole puck of it will last you at least four to five months.

I must say that I'm impressed. I had a 4 days beard. I have sensitive skin. I decided to give it a try and see. It doesn't produce a thick foam or lather. Don't let this deceive you. It prepared my beard nicely, it has a cooling effect. The razor was passing very smooth on my beard. I had a clean shave with less passes than I'm used to. I didn't have any irritation on my beard. Also it didn't stick on my razor blade as the other creams, so cleaning my blade was an easy task. It's worth to try it. Again...thanks Fendrihan for making this available for us.

This cream has a great, mild, menthol smell that cools the face while the lubrication yields fantastically close shaves. It works great. But it is a three star product for two reasons: The box and website specify applying with a brush and, as other reviews have mentioned, this is frustratingly impossible. So why tell us to do it? Apply with your hands directly. Second issue is that given the cream does not lather, you don't get that visual cue of where you're shaving. The lack of lather can also make it hard to apply the cream thick enough if you've got wet hands and face. Once applied it works great though!

Surprisingly disappointing-- every other Baxter of California product has been amazing, but this stuff... oh man, I wish I could get a refund or at least an exchange for something else (even if it's lesser in cost). Whatever 'protective cushion between the skin and razor' they claim there is non-existent. It provides a translucent, superficial thin layer of product (I really can't call it cream) that *maybe* provides no noticeable difference in smoothness during a wetshave. Long story short, save your money and buy another cream! I normally read reviews before I buy a product but I assumed a Baxter product would be of high quality so I just went ahead and got it-- that was a mistake! Anyways, if any Fendrihan employees read this... Just right

Early days but really loving this! I bought it because I've bought other BoC products which I've been impressed with, but wasn't really expecting much difference to other shave formulas I've used before. But from the first shave I've felt a noticeable difference - a smooth shave and a great finish! Each to their own of course, but this really works for me.

Next level shave cream

This is very hydrating and does give a super close shave true to its name. A step up from regular shave formulas. Very luxurious and effective. Great scent too.
