I really wanted to love them because it’s now an Apple product so connectivity is super cool and easy. I’m annoyed that I have to return them because the cup sizes are small. They press on my ears and I don’t have big ears. After about 2 hours my ears get sore, and while I appreciated the adequate pressure they have to stay on my head, it’s not good if you wear glasses. I have a pair of gaming over ear headphones that feel comfortable, always, and never makes my ears hurt. I hear Sony makes comfortable headphones so I’m going to return these and try another brand. I don’t think I need to comment on the sound quality or the ANC considering I can’t even keep them. It also doesn’t make sense that they don’t come with software to modify the equalizer settings. It’s just the one setting it comes as. Even for $150 on Black Friday I can’t justify that price for this quality. Build seems nice and it definitely looks pretty, it’s just not comfortable and not customizable.

I used them for a long flight- and while they cancelled out the noise incredibly well, I had to take them off to give my ears a break periodically.* not for audiophiles. They sound great but it’s a little muddy. Personally I like the sound but it’s not a pure clean profile.* there’s no transparency mode. these things cut out a ton of sound even without the ANC turned on so it sounds very muffled when making phone calls as you can’t hear you’re own voice that well.Despite all the shortcomings, I still really like these headphones. They probably deserve a 4.5/5 but since we can’t give a half star rating, and due to the great price I paid and how great they are at the gym they get 5/5 for me!

I have the Studio2s and had purchased the Studio3s as my backup for when my Studio2s don't work. Mind you, it's been 5 years (2017) and Studio2s are holding up. To my surprise, Studio3s produced practically the same sound. Muffled bass and everything. I do like the colorway the midnight black presents versus matte black of my Studio 2s. Micro-USB still though...wow, okay, I get it. Did I mention they appear to produce the same sound and tone? Battery life on Studio3s from 25-30 is way better than the 10-12 I get with my Studio2sI can't see anyone paying $349 regular price for these cans. The so-called ANC feature is non-existent to an extent. I have the Sony WH-1000XM4 and XM5 and those two define ANC because those literally block out background sound when you ... The so-called ANC feature is non-existent to an extent. I have the Sony WH-1000XM4 and XM5 and those two define ANC because those literally block out background sound when you press a button to engage the feature. Studio3s have no such thing, let alone a designated button for it. Either it's because they're brand new and you can claim the headbands squeezing the earpads to block sound as ANC or the likes of the Sony XM4/5, Bose QC, etc., take ANC to the next level. To be frank, I'm going with the latter. From a fashion standpoint, that's where their appeal began. Dr. Dre and Lovine introduced them way back when, celebrities and athletes used them, but they're somewhat dated now. Either I'm getting older (I'm 42) or I feel like I'm just not "hearing all the music." I've heard songs hundreds of times working out, but when I use my XM4 or XM5s, I find myself in a stupor when I notice instrument sounds I hadn't noticed with either Studios. Unbelievable. Again, Studios are okay at Black Friday price, and will continue to be my headphones of choice at the gym so as not to accidentally scratch my Sony's.
Love my beats headphones. I use to have “Bose” in the same color but unfortunately over time the foam on the ear pieces started to peel off. Great headphones though loved them a lot and I couldn’t get the same ones again In the same color and I was very sad about that, but I got to look around the store and try a few new headphones. sound is most important to me as music is my favorite thing to do with my day and having “no noise” from the outside world lol I wanted the same good headphones as my Bose and so I tried these ones out and I fell in love the moment I turned them on in the store and I ordered them a few days later as I ended up getting them cheaper on my best buy account. The beats are fantastic!Highly recommended. Also, quick note when closing them I ... I really liked these headphones! Something I was looking for was headphone that wouldn’t slip when I leaned back at the gym when on a bench or machine, Sometimes I forget my hair tie so having them not slip was a must. These headphones fit comfortably snug which was perfect. The cushiony part of the headphones is nice as well! I usually have the problem of headphones hurting my ears after wearing them for too long but that wasn’t the case with these. I’ve had them for about a month now, and they don’t feel like they’re going loose either which was one of my worries when I bought them. Now for things I wish were better…These hesdphones aren’t truly noise cancelling. Unless you have the volume up to a certain level, you’ll still be able to hear everything around ... MoreI really liked these headphones! Unless you have the volume up to a certain level, you’ll still be able to hear everything around you, just slightly more muffled. The Sony headphones had much more amazing noise cancellation than these. Also, another thing I’ve noticed is that if you have oily hair or sweaty hands, anything other than just clean hands, the headphones will get smear marks from you holding or wearing them. I personally don’t really care but it’s the first time I’ve seen that happen with matte headphones . I do use them for the gym though so there’s that.
These headphones have been great, especially getting them at the Black Friday price of 149.99. The major pain point of these headphones was the original price of $349.99. Having them for some time, I can definitely say they are not worth the original price, especially when the Sony WH-1000XM5s exist at that price. However, these are great for regular people, especially at a discount. The sound quality is more than good enough, and shines on bass heavy tracks as Beats aways has. The good thing is bass is no longer overpowered though. This was never an issue for me as I always use a bass boost EQ setting anyways. Sound is more balanced overall. These do tend to make your ears hot, not sweaty. If you’re looking to workout in them, definitely clean them after each use. ... Comfort is pretty good, though they do tend to squeeze on your head just a bit. You won’t forget that they’re on your head, but you won’t want to take them off. They’re great for a long flight or long term listening for a movie, trip, etc. Where these do lack is in the ANC. I feel that too much noice enters these headphones with ANC activated. While it’s definitely good enough, you will find yourself noticing noise coming in on a trip or flight. Turning up the volume too high can produce some leakage, which is where the lack of true ANC prowess becomes a slight issue. It’s also odd these do not charge with the lightning cable or USB-C. These use micro-USB, which isn’t ideal these days. I had to get a USB-A to USB-C adapter for parity with my USB-C wall chargers and ports.Overall, these are minor issues ultimately, unless you really want a no-excuse ANC experience. These are great if you’re in the Apple ecosystem. Using these with an Apple TV to personally listen at night or on a tv that may not have a dedicated soundbar/audio system is fantastic. If you can get these for less than $200, you will not be disappointed. However, you may be left wanting more if the ANC is really important to you even if there is a discount.
At its full price, I don't think it is worth it. There are other options such as Sony headphones that go for less and produce the same quality, if not better sometimes. However, when there is a big sale and its at 1/3 of its price it becomes way more attractive. The headphones are very comfortable but for a limited time (around 4 hours for me) before my ears start hurting a little bit. The best thing I can say about these headphones is the sound quality. The base, the mids, the treble all work together to make a really good sound. Its comfortable to wear on my head too. It does have some weight to it, but not heavy by any means. The packaging was also very nice and pleasant. Truly felt like I was opening some exclusive product. The battery life is pretty good as ... MoreAt its full price, I don't think it is worth it. They say its around 22 hours, but I tend to get a little less. It lasts me a day and a half before I have to charge it. Charging it is also another amazing thing, I get a lot of charge within 30 minutes, and after maybe 2 hours its fully charged. So overall charging time is really good. Definitely worth it when its on sale.
I bought these on sale for $150, and I regret it. I bought them to replace my Powerbeats Earbuds because they were on the way out and I wanted to switch to headphones because it's safer for your hearing.I didn't really do enough research because I expected it to be responsive like the Powerbeats (music turns off when you take them off/they connect automatically when you put them in). These must be controlled manually and have no motion detection features. This means I have forgotten to turn them off many times and they lose way too much battery. Thankfully, they do charge quickly. They are not as noise cancelling as my partner's headphones, which are five years old (or more) at this point. Thankfully, they do charge quickly. They are not as noise cancelling as my partner's headphones, which are five years old (or more) at this point. I could hear way more noise on a plane with these than the Bose; also, it often doesn't form a seal as I can hear wind blowing even with noise cancelling on. When you don't have the noise cancelling on outside it's like being in a wind tunnel and just unusable.A small nit--the storage case is HUGE. They really could have made them swivel to have a flatter case. I have to just keep them in my coat pocket because I couldn't possibly carry the case around. I don't know what I'll do come summer.Lastly, I find that the Bluetooth functionality isn't super intuitive and they don't pair very easily. I have yet to get them to successfully pair with my Peloton, whereas the Powerbeats paired just fine.I will use them as it's too late to return them, but I hope when I'm ready to upgrade again that the next generation has better features/quality. I like having Beats because they integrate well with Apple products, but the downsides are annoying.
I would highly recommed to check other headphones which are competing with Beats prior making a decision to buy these. Plastic feels cheap because it is. Squeaking when you puting on or taking off or just holding them in your hands. Fair retail price for these 50-75$ just because of materials they made of and how they are made overall. Ape chip does make difference in usability if you have apple devices. Micro usb port to charge is worst solution for charging anything just because it is outdated to start with. Doesnt matter how you adjust headphones they will be tight. You will get very nice feel when you actually taking them off your head. And it can be after 2 minutes or 1hr. Always feel good just to take thrm off. Sound is absolutely average. Of course more bass ... If I lose them or buy others I would never buy this model again. Even free I wouldnt enjoy them. Active noise cancellation is on by default every time you turn them on. And you will actually hear noise of ANC, not like just pressure on other headphones. Not a lot to say positive. Best advice I can gove - try them more than 2 minutes before buy. And try others. You will understad there are better headphones for same or similar price.
