A good monitor of unusual size

A TN panel, so not the most recent tech, and runs at 60Hz, so you go elsewhere if you need faster refresh rates or wider viewing angles. Otherwise it is a bright, 4K monitor with fast grey to grey, which is great for my needs. Don't ask me about the colour - I'm colourblind and will leave that to others. There is a good range of modes for those who like switching between movie, text, etc. The stand has a reasonably small footprint on the desk. It has a weighted crossbar to keep the monitor stable when tilted backwards.

Had this monitor about a week or so and am so pleased I got it. I bought it to replace a Benq monitor I had had a while. I wanted a 4k monitor for my PlayStation Pro and didn't think I would find a 4k one for the price it was. I read a few reviews first and some said it wasn't true 4k, well I am here to say it is 4k. The only thing I didn't like on this is the speakers which are really weak but on most monitors you don't get them so it's a bonus in some ways. I had a soundbar so it wasn't that big a problem. Quality of picture and colours are stunning and buying a Benq you know your getting a good item. Delivery from Very was next day so that was great as well. Definitely a bargain in my book/

Pros: This is definitely the best 4k screen you can find for the price at 32”. Screen reflects a bit of light but not enough for you to notice unless you are trying to find it. Build is sturdy and feels of high quality, only trouble is as with many other screens, plugging in the cables, but since it has many plugs you probably only have to plug in eachh device once. Speakers are not very loud but I wouldnt reccomend buying any screen for speakers anyway. 4k is Great for anything 4k compatible! Cons: HDR even if its very pretty, its not true HDR, which is very reasonable for the price. hdr of the screen is still great, though some might consider this a bad point. Screen only adjusts vertical angle, so buying a good vesa mount might be needed for those who want to ... MorePros: This is definitely the best 4k screen you can find for the price at 32”. Great price/value ratio

I don't understand all the negative reviews. This monitor is excellent in it's price range. People should manage their expectations and not expect 1000+ CHF features/performance for a 500 CHF monitor. This is a low-end 4K monitor, but still delivers very well and exceeds my expectations. The visuals are great, the brightness is good for gaming, the colors are vivid, (I'm using with Xbox One X, PS4 Pro and PC, there are enough inputs for all 3 at the same time) and although the HDR10 is a bit loose standard, it still looks good with games that support it. The built-in speaker doesn't sound great, but at least it's there if you need it. The first one recieved had some screen issues (a small grey smudge on the screen), but Digitec replaced it immediately with a new one ... MoreI don't understand all the negative reviews. There are some minor non-price dependent cons: no buttons to change volume (you have to use the on-screen menu every time), you can't rotate it sideways, only tilt and even though there are multiple buttons, you can only customize 2 of them. Overall I'm very happy with this purchase and I can really recommend it for any application.

Pros: I use it for development work, so staring at it for hours reading and writing code mainly. It is more than I was asking of it , with gentle warm colouring available, great resolution so it is easy to fit 5 different windows on one screen. It somehow seems to adapt to lightning conditions and I never even think about adjusting it's brightness nor contrast. Looking at the price range I wasn't expecting this much! Cons: Product is great, the only bad side is lack of height adjustment on the stand (there is zero), but this can be rectified by swapping the stand for a different one. With the big height of the screen I struggle a bit to find the right posture and avoid leaning down to see the details at the bottom part of the screen. Excellent monitor. Was previously using a 50 inch 4k tv which was good. But with me gaming daily and feedback trough the gaming community, alot of players use gaming monitors so decided to switch. I did extensive research on this product before I purchased which were all really good. I'm really impressed, had to reset monitor to factory settings. Then changed to game settings which I can switch HDR on depending on the game. I had to do this becuase for some reason the picture on default seemed really dull. Once I did that I was instantly impressed. My gaming experience has already improved with less lag with no tearing and with 1ms you can tell there's a huge difference from my previous TV. Highly recommended you won't be disappointed. Everything is high quality ... MoreExcellent monitor. Was previously using a 50 inch 4k tv which was good. Nice screen
19 September 2021

This was bought as an upgrade from my 8 year old 1080p monitor and it’s lovely. For under £200 to get a branded screen with 4K, twin HDMI input etc. Is a bargain. I’d like a faster refresh, but 60mhz still fine. The picture is crisp and looking at YouTube in 4K is really good. Some blacks are a bit grey when in fast motion, but otherwise it’s crisp and flows well. Very happy.

Pros: Screen is good for both work and play. MS Word, Excel and Project work well with the additional screen real estate which is useful. No screen geometry or artifact anomalies present. For games it works well with Doom Eternal and CS GO. There are better out there but this is just fine for occasional gaming.Videos look bright and detailed with no significant coloring abnormalities, dark screens and images are fine for the technology, again there are better at higher price points but this is more than adequate. Cons: No display port cable supplied with monitor but was advertised onCurrys website as supplied. I had to use the supplied HDMI which precluded HDR and GSYNC. I provided my own 1.4 display port cable to use and these options were then enabled. Colour set up is a bit fiddly and the simulated HDR and cinema HDR modes are off, too saturated in red for my liking. IEC kettle type power cable is quite short but that seems to be the growing norm with appliances these days. Luckily I had a spare 2m one.

Top Quality Budget 4K HDR Monitor

I've only had this display for a couple of days, however I'm really impressed with it. I've seen some other reviews here and elsewhere claiming this is not a true 4K display or HDR is only emulated and part of why I'm writing this review is to correct that. This is 28" 10 Bit 4K TN Panel and it has 3 HDR modes, one for general purpose such as gaming from a Console, One for watching 4K HDR movies and other content and a emulated mode that converts SDR content into a HDR approximation if you press the button on the front of the monitor. Both my PS4 Pro and Xbox One X detect this display properly as 4K 60Hz panel and will turn on the normal HDR mode when a compatible game requires it. Both my PS4 Pro and Xbox One X detect this display properly as 4K 60Hz panel and will turn on the normal HDR mode when a compatible game requires it. There are two HDMI ports on the bottom of the monitor along with a Display Port for connecting a PC. Windows 10 HDR support is rather lacking at the moment but it detects and uses it correctly if it's turned on in Windows settings first. One of the best features of this display is the light sensor at the bottom under the Logo that automatically adjusts the screen's contrast and brightness to match the rooms lighting conditions. You can of course set up a custom profile if you wish. Negatives are the monitors controls being on the bottom edge of the display which might prove a bit fiddly for some. Also Motion Smoothing i.e the AMA setting is on by default and both High and Premium create a really bad ghosting effect, so it's best to go in the settings and turn that off. The Monitor has Freesync support and both the Xbox One X and a PC with either a AMD or Nvidia Graphics cards can take advantage of that to reduce screen tearing and frame drops. If your after a budget display for 4K gaming experience then you can't really go wrong here. The Monitor comes with a HDMI cable in the box and a standard 3 Pin UK kettle lead style Power Lead. Their are stereo speakers on the monitor and they work quite well but you are probably better off plugging either headphones or external speakers into the 3.5mm jack on the bottom of the monitor for optimal sound.
