I bought this for my daughters in August. We noticed that one of the boxes had a hard time closing. It seemed like the insert was too big for the box, although with a little pressure it would close. 3 months of use and the prong that acts like a hinge broke off. I contacted Bentgo with images of the defect. Although I no longer had proof of purchase they offered to send me a new one to replace the broken one. I'm guessing we had a random manufacture flaw in the one box. My other daughters bentgo box closes smoothly and has had no issues so far.They're easy to clean and unless you put something runny like yogurt in them, the compartments won't leak into each other.

We bought some Bentgo boxes for my daughter, and we love them. I wanted one for work, so I got the modern one for myself. I really love it! It has perfect portion sizes and is easy to hand wash every day. It also has a handy little removable divider in the big compartment which is nice. The only downside is that it’s not completely leak proof like the kids lunchboxes. I’ve had issues with the smaller compartments leaking into one another. My daughter has the chill version, which I wish they had for the larger boxes. Support is awesome- the seal on my daughter’s lunchboxes grew some mold and they sent replacements right away. We love our Bentgo boxes and I would get more in the future!

I wanted a bigger size lunch box for my elementary school kid. She had a bentgo kids, which lasted for a couple of years but the hinges all ended up breaking. This has been great so far. I bought it with a couple of little silicone containers. Even though there is one less compartment I like it a lot more. The adjustable separation has been nice. It does not keep things with liquids separate, but it is not a big deal. Easy to clean. I am hoping that it will last us for a bit longer than our last model. My daughter loves the color.
I bought 2 of these in September thinking it would be great to bring my lunch to work as a teacher. I was so excited when I saw it was leak proof and dishwasher safe. I only used the dishwasher (top rack) for the inside tray ONLY and once it came out, there was a little warp in the center. I thought this may have been why the box was not leakproof after, so I DID NOT put the second one in the dishwasher. Fast forward to December, and both bentigo boxes are now leaking when I put anything with a little bit of liquid in it (IE Peaches, canned/strained fruit) The juice runs out the sides and often into my backpack. I still use them as I like the compartments but I recommend putting them in a plastic sealable bag and bringing handiwipes.

Almost everything else fine, Yes its a great size, Yes it does keep food from leaking ( when the lid keeps it self intact) - After using 3 months, i noticed one of the plastic lump (hinge) broke off, seems like it gave out from usage, no I did not drop it, or any physical damage was done to it. I work in a office environment. I would of liked to give it a good review, but Im getting tired of taking my food and leaking everywhere since the hinges dont work and all my food leaks out inside my lunch box. I did buy this for the leak proof, but you need to fix this flaw, it would be nice to have a removable lid if you need to remove it when its needed. I received my Bentgo Box as a Christmas gift and absolutely love it! I’m often eating lunch on the go and prior to getting my box, I would pack snacks or a lunch in several containers- this was inconvenient and also required me to pack a lunch bag to keep my items cool. Using my Bentgo Box has made packing food incredibly simple! The box is well insulated, leak proof, and has several different t spaces for food items, including a removable divider. The box keeps my food fresh, opens easily, and overall is a great product to use for a meal or snacks. Finally, I had an issue that I created, and when I reached out to customer service, they were exceptionally friendly and helpful. Couldn’t recommend more!

This adult version is unnecessarily clunky, and doesn't do a good job of keeping the sections from leaking.You can remove the inner section for cleaning, sure, but I've found that food gets all over the entire lunchbox so I end up having to clean both, so this leaves me questioning any discernable benefit to the outer shell. It feels like overkill, especially since it doesn't even cover a built-in freezer pack like the kids version. It is too big for my LL Bean insulated lunch box so I end up having to carry it in a small Lululemon tote with a freeze back next to it.
