Berserk Deluxe Volume 3
While attending college at Nihon University, in 1988, Kentaro Miura debuted a 48-page manga known as Berserk Prototype, an introduction to the current Berserk fantasy world. It went on to win Miura a prize from the Comi Manga School. In 1989, after receiving a doctorate degree, Kentarou started a project titled King of Wolves based on a script by Buronson, writer of Hokuto no Ken (Fist Of The North Star). In 1990, the first volume Berserk was released with a relatively limited success. Miura again collaborated with Buronson on manga entitled Japan. Miura's fame grew after Berserk began "The Golden Age" story arc and the huge success of this masterpiece made of him one of the most prominent contemporary manga artists. In 1997, Miura supervised the production of 25 anime episodes of Berserk that aired in the same year on NTV. The series has also spawned a whole host of merchandise, both official and fan made, ranging from statues and action figures, to key rings, video games, and a trading card game. In 2002, Kentaro Miura received the second place in the Tezuka Osamu (Astro Boy) Cultural Prize of Excellence for Berserk. The author lives in Tokyo, Japan.

I love the look and feel of these volumes! I want to eventually have all of them, I definitely prefer these over the individual volumes. Perfect for those bibliophiles out there who want a great quality hardcover of this manga series.

I haven't been much of a reader but after seeing this book and it's series I love it, and am currently waiting on the 4th book. The hard cover with the black texture makes it look so cool on my new book shelf 10/10 would buy the whole series at once if I was Rich.
The quality of the book itself is fantastic. Very impressive looking and the artwork within has been printed flawlessly. I highly recommend this series, it is hard to put down once you start.
I have started reading this manga and found out that the cheapest is always here on walmart online. It was always much more when i buy in stores. Also i love the hard cover deluxe version, it includes 3 of the regular manga inside.
"That thing was too big to be called a manga. Too big, too thick, too heavy, and too rough, it was more like a large hunk of iron."Haha, seriously, this is a gorgeous edition of the greatest manga of all time. Hardcover and large, within are pristine pages with vivid art. What more could you ask for? Buy it strugglers, you will not regret it.
The deluxe edition is fantastic, huge size(and weight) with minimal lose inbetween pages on the double spread panels.Berserk is regarded as the greatest manga ever written, and I agree. Begin the struggle.
Saved a few bucks on a $42 hardcover faux leather book. As others said, the shipping took over a week; I ordered on June 12, 2022 and only received on June 23. But was within expected date of the 25th. As others said, the packaging was flimsy... just one vacuum sealed piece of thin plastic with another generic plastic shipping envelope around it. It's a pretty heavy 700 page book so I was worried this might have curved the corners in a bit, but not bad. Overall, 5 stars I'm impressed but take heed this is NOT Wal Mart but a 3rd party vendor. That said I would buy again from here probably; but the book also, as others have said, does smell like chemicals. This doesn't bother me either, I actually kind of like the warehouse smell. But if that bothers you, fair warning ... MoreSaved a few bucks on a $42 hardcover faux leather book. But if that bothers you, fair warning everyone else is right, it smells vaugely like chemicals (I love to smell my new books and this doesn't have the customary "new book" smell, kind of musty chemicals or something, which is faintly pleasant to me, but can see why others would not like it).But I've been wanting to collect the Berserk series for a long time, so I can't complain. I'm just happy it actually came in and doesn't have any blatant star-reducing qualities in my eyes. Next time I'll probably try to pay the extra 3-4 dollars and get it from a more reliable vendor, I admit, but overall again I'm happy. 5 stars, thank you!
Absolutely amazing. One of the best Manga series I have read. It's dark, gruesome, sad, beautiful, the characters are immaculate and every volume gets better and better. Can't wait to pick up the rest of the series in these beautiful 3 in ones.
