This is not a book series for the light hearted. I warn anyone buying this book that there is a brutal demonic r@p3 scene ... but it is a masterful portrayal of a man haunted by demons both internal and external and how he battles with "Berserker" fury against all that assail him.The artwork used in the opening section during the demon battle switches between fine line drawings - and a rough and bizarre scratching when we see from the eyes of the swordsman. I see this are reflecting his "berserk" rage.In this volume we see how GUTS and Casca escape from the Demon World and are back in the real World ... both of them seriously damaged. This seems to be the start of the "next stage" of the story where GUTS is now seeking revenge for the atrocities carried out on ... MoreThis is not a book series for the light hearted. The last section of the book seems to jump around somewhat and follows a slightly less linear path.As with all previous books - the binding is excellent.

Bought it as a gift for a friend. Book is amazing, very sturdy covers, larger size so art is presented beautifully without anything being lost in the centrefold
I would recommend this to anybody looking for a dark, medieval fantasy. It's gory, has some cool demon designs, and the characters are as charming as ever. I had a few gripes, but minor ones.
Very high quality of production, the stork is past a left turn at this stage and just keeps getting better, the manga really comes to life o the larger pages. Very happy
The quality of the book itself is fantastic. Very impressive looking and the artwork within has been printed flawlessly. I highly recommend this series, it is hard to put down once you start.
This series overall has been a great read. Reader beware! This has been the darkest volume along with 4 that I’ve read. This is not for children!
The deluxe edition is fantastic, huge size(and weight) with minimal lose inbetween pages on the double spread panels.Berserk is regarded as the greatest manga ever written, and I agree. Begin the struggle.
Absolutely love these books! I adore the art style and the story, the size of these books are genuinely how berserk is meant to be read and enjoyed!
