Because I am still kind of a child, like most other children, I enjoy almost any chocolaty food I can get. Though I have a great preference of dark chocolate over any other chocolate, this icing tastes good, I think. Does it taste like chocolate? Nope. Maybe I just enjoy the texture, maybe sometimes you just gotta eat it with a spoon whether it tastes like chocolate icing or not, either way it’s good

Super taste, finishes of any cake so would recommend this to anyone. When we make our cakes at home my little one loves to try and spread it over the sides and takes chucks out of it, she likes the taste. Slightly more expensive then I would like. As you really need two tubs to do a good job on the inside and outside of a cake. With some spare !

Bought for my daughter

I bought this as my daughter is going through an ‘independant’ phase where she wont allow anyone to help her! She wanted to bake again but I couldn’t face the mess of her decorating, so I gave her this to use. It was easy to use and made very little mess. It tasted great too. I would buy this again. This product was bought as part of a promotion.

Great timesaver

Love this product. Great taste. Big timesaver when you don’t have time to faff about making buttercream from scratch. Easily spreadable.

Soft plastic mixed with sugar syrup

I used this instead of making my own butter cream. And then after tasting it, I had to scrape the whole lot off to try and save the cake! I can't imagine anyone would buy this twice. The chemical taste is so strong and the aftertaste lingered for ages. Don't sabotage yourselves, make your own butter cream, or at least look for another brand!

Tastes of plastic/ chemicals

Tastes if plastic and chemically. I thew away. can't believe this is being sold.Years ago this used to be a lovely tasting product, it still has a lovely texture but it is made inedible by the chemically taste.

VERY strong!

Thought Id give this a try but it wasnt to my taste. The vanilla overwhelmed everything- which was a shame as it was really easy to spread. Wont be buying again, much easier to make my own buttercream and tastes nicer too!

Vanilla Buttercream

This icing tastes lovely, it had a very rich taste, it is a good alternative when I haven’t got any butter, it is a lovely buttercream to use for great tasting butterfly cakes. Always good to keep a pot in the baking cupboard.

What a time saver!

If you are anything like me, making buttercream is not only a huge effort, but the clean up is even worse! With Betty Crocker I can take all the credit for a tiny amount of work.It tastes amazing, and not too sickly sweet! And is the perfect consistency, especially for crumb coating before putting your roll-out icing over the top. There is no clean up (other than licking the utensil you used to put it on the cake with!) and it goes a long way! One tub did a 3 tier cake!Quick tip... I stupidly left it in the fridge overnight and I could barely scrape it out of the tub by the morning. I managed to scoop half of it into a bowl, microwaved it for 10 seconds then added it back into the tub. Was horrid. Removed lid and did a tester taste, no not nice, but to just make sure got my husband to taste, he did not know my reaction as was not in kitchen when I tasted. He duly tasted, and spat it out... had to bin and make my own buttercream. Trouble is bought 2 tubs of vanilla and one of chocolate. The unopened vanilla and chocolate tubs sitting in pantry, will never be used.
