Beyerdynamic TYGR 300 R Gaming Headphones

I don't feel like I need any other open back headphone. That's it. It has the kind of low end you get from a lot of closed backs with the highs a little pulled back so you can push the volume a touch higher. Admittedly I do EQ a little more of those upper frequency's in.Looking into the 770s so I can endgame my closed back set-up.

Everything during COVID-19 is crazy. All we have are eachother and the little things that add joy. All I can say is that the patience for these paid off in droves. I got this mod done one my 250 ohm beyerdynamic DT 770 pros. Running with a handbuilt tube headphone amp. Damn. Well worth the wait!!

Thank you very much for the mod. I can tell they were done with extreme care. I also liked how the original wires were modded on top so that I can actually hear the differences in sound quality. Highly recommended. This is THE place to get the mod done!

Solid all round headphones, fun, quite relaxed and slightly warm sound signature. Definitely one of the most comfortable Beyers. If your going to amp them be sure to use a very clean, clear and neutral amp, even thin sounding amp. They seem to like small amps like a Topping L30 or Heresy. Excellent headphone!

Received my modded DT990 Pro today. It is as described - quality MOD and cabling. It surely looks like factory installed and sounds great. I immediately purchased another MOD for my DT770 Pro and also ordered 4 feet AKG cable from them. Highly recommend them to anyone!

The actual work is great. The communication however is nonexistent. The quoted lead time was 2-4 weeks and I received mine in 6 weeks. If you don't need your headphones for 6 week, this is the service for you. However if you need a quick fix this isn't it.

Nice Gaming Headphones

I liked these quite a bit. Not as harsh as the DT 990 or the DT770. It does seem to lack some of the detail that those cans provide, but it images quite well. It's U-shaped frequency response is perfect for video games. DMS said it images like speakers. Can't say I felt that way wearing them, but they do it very well regardless.

Phenomenal Headphone for the Price

Immense soundstage, hefty bass response, and crystal clarity all meet in a headphone under $200. If there is a downside, it's that you can actually hear the mixing flaws in your favorite tracks. A true marvel of audio technology, recommended for casual and serious listeners alike.

I have been using earphones and headphones and only once did I indulge myself in getting a gaming headset. I was not disappointed with that, however, I wanted something with which I could also enjoy music. The cost was a factor.Read loads of reviews and saw a number of youtube videos. I finally settled on Beyerdynamic DT 770 Pro or Audio Technica ATH M50X. I continued reading reviews only because I was undecided as to which one and IF I can enjoy a bit of gaming too. Almost all the reviewers wrote glowing praises on these two and I for one do not doubt them at all. However, some of the reviewers kept mentioning the need to buy an AMP/DAC to power them for a better listening experience. I read a few reviews and started watching youtube videos. Price was a factor and it was more than the budget I had kept aside for the headphones. Be as it may, I tried searching for keywords like, "high listening fatigue", "too much treble", "low bass" etc. and to my surprise, I could find absolutely nothing written about such things. Equally amazing was the fact, that nearly everything written about these headphones was almost too good to be true. I took the plunge. Headphones arrived, packing was decent, and the box was decent.I was not surprised to see the headphones themselves as I took so much time deliberating and watching and reading reviews and videos. It was almost as if I had them all along. Every description and built quality was exactly as described. Listening to music reminded me of how much I missed hearing good, quality sound (due to cheap earphones, or gaming headsets which I thought I enjoyed music), and quality it was.Bass was not overpowered as some of the reviewer's state and the treble was not suppressed either. There was a good balance, and incredibly clean sounding. I hooked it up with a PS4 controller and though the output level was low, the quality was great. Through the mobile phone, the sound output is quite good and the quality is great. I checked with the 3.5mm Jack on the TV and it sounds quite loud and of decent quality. This is one headphone which neatly falls in between the category of those undecided between the two most popular headphones.Some reviewers pointed out, that these headphones sound like high-end Hi-Fi speakers and they are spot on. They do and that's another plus.
