Id heard a lot about Birkenstock shoes, and decided to try them. I have bad osteoarthritis in my feet and have trouble finding comfortable and supportive footwear. From the moment I put them on, I knew they were right for me. The support and comfort is amazing and they look great. I wish I'd tried them ages ago. I will be buying more pairs from now on.

The oiled leather was noticeably tougher and would take some time (and band-aids) to break in.I wish REI sold more than just a handful of colors.
SFB stands for Soft Foot Bed and boy are these that. Much more comfortable than the original. I now have 3 pairs of these SFB shoes, a old rose colour and a floral geisha style and my feet love them. Greenn is my favourite colour.... and these are a nice soft neutral green. I don't want to take them off!

I returned for the next size down and all is good. The Birkenstock site has more specific instructions. Place heel against a wall, measure to your longest toe in millimeters. As their sandal sizes are measured in millimeters, as well as US Men, etc., it is a better method to determine your correct size.My foot was 258 so 260 works perfect. I used to love these sandals, and a pair would normally last for several years under normal wear during the summer months. My last two pairs have only lasted me one season, with the footbed coming apart from the sole, along with one of the straps completely coming off on the outside. So disappointing because they've always been my go-to sandal. Quality of these has gone down significantly over the years.
I looked everywhere for size 45 in oiled leather Birkenstock. Especially khaki. Sold out in Australia. Looked instore DJs. Staff said sold out. My friend said try DJs online. They had black and khaki in 45. Couldn't believe it. And they were discounted. Spend and save promotion. $50 off. Delivered within the week. So happy as its a Xmas present for my son. The whole family have Birkenstocks as they are so comfortable and excellent quality.
These sandals rock. Iāve always had thong sandals and wore rainbows primarily. My girlfriend has always had Birkenstocks but Iāve been hesitant to get a pair myself. Finally after over a year I agreed to give them a try and I wish I had sooner. They take a few days to break in and can be uncomfortable at first. I highly recommend wearing socks until so you donāt get blisters the first few days. Once they have been broken in they are great tho. I will still keep my rainbows simply because these arenāt Waterproof and can get destroyed at the beach but other than that they are my new primary sandal.
great product, fitting and comfort is excellent.impossible to clean - especially if you follow Nordstrom associate 'facts' discussed during purchase.recommend soap and water, and a lot of manual scrubbing, but replacable solution would make more sense
