Beautiful, sexy sandal - needs getting used to
Have admired this style on others for years. The hard footbed is typical BIRK comfort. But the thong is taking some getting used to. (A friend shared she broke hers in for several YEARS before being able to wear them all day.). Recommend starting slowly, wearing them around our house for brief periods. My sensitive feet are slowly adjusting. Oddly, one foot feels fine, while the other is taking longer. Online advice says to Be Patient. I believe the patience WILL pay off and I will have a beautiful, sexy sandal to wear next summer.... Show more

First Time Birks
I bought these Mother’s Day weekend, a gift from my husband! They are so pretty and fit my feet so well. I was looking for a sandal that would allow my big toe to be free and these fit the bill. A warning… these take commitment to get used to. I read many articles about this sandal as it’s my first time wearing Birks. The toe piece is rigid and I almost returned them because of it. However, I persevered and I hardly notice it now. I learned it can take some people up to a month to fully break in this style sandal! They are beautifully made and look nice with many outfits.... Good Support - Highly Recommend
These are very good shoes with full arch support and were recommended by my podiatrist. My problem is that I have long toes, so the front edge was uncomfortable. There is a slight rise/lip at the front of the shoe that rubbed the bottom of my toes. I was already in the largest size, so no option to size up.This is an excellent shoe, it just didn't work for me. Highly recommend, especially if you have plantar faciitis.... Show more

Its Birkenstock!
Feels great! One of the few shoes i can wear right out of the box all day long. Pretty much all i wear in six different colors. You do have to be accustomrd to thong type shoes or you may not like. I've worn flip flops all my life so no problems. Find you size in eu sizing and ignore US sizes works best for me. US sizes can be all over the place but find EU sizes to be more reliable. In US size normally wear 7n however the EU size 37 consistently fits in Birkenstock and other shoes that offer EU sizing.... Show more

Love Love my Birkies!!!
I love Birkenstock and I have been wearing them for about 30 yrs. When I was still working I usually wore regular shoes. When I got home after work the first thing I did was put on some Birkies. I can't tell you how good they felt. I have a little bit of an issue with the manufacturers. They changed the sizing. I have always wore a 37 which was a 7-7.5 . The pair I just received from QVC is a 38: that's what the chart indicated. They don't fit as well as they should, my toes and my arches are not where they should be in the footbed.... Show more

Newbie to this brand
I am new to this brand and once I got the right fit I am sold. They look great and are so comfortable once you break them in. Just wear them for short times during the day and in no time you can wear them all day. I have two pair now and am toying with a third. I am a size 7.5-8 and the 39 was the best fit after trying the 38. I see others right about fit and this is key. Measure your foot and use a guide. Don't go by reviews as some will say they run small and others runs large.... Show more

Really Disappointed In Birkenstock
I’ve never been more disappointed in a pair of Birkenstocks. They were great in terms of foot/arch support, as you’d expect from Birkenstock. But these are “flip flop”-style sandals with a piece between your toes. That piece is made from SOLID plastic. I’m talking solid as a rock!! With most flip flop sandals of this nature, that piece between the toes have at least some flexibility & move with your foot. These do not. AT ALL!! With every step I took (just around my house) it felt like I was jamming the part between my toes into a pole. I mean— did anyone even TRY these before deciding to sell them?? They’re horrible! I even tried to tighten the buckle more to keep my foot from moving as much but nothing helped. These will be returned pronto. My only regret is that ... SHOULD HAVE BOUGHT THESE A LONG TIME AGO!!!!!
I have these in black and now white! I have issues with my feet (stress fracture & severe plantar fasciitis) and these shoes are absolutely the BEST! It does take a little time to break them in, but once you do, you won't want to wear anything else. It is like having custom orthotics in a sandal. This style is my favorite, as you can wear them with jeans/shorts, but also if you dress up more if you're wearing a nice pair of pants or a dress.... Show more

So-so
I was looking for black casual sandals that also looked cute on my feet and were comfortable. I like the way they look but the left foot is somewhat uncomfortable in the bed under where your toes go through the strap. I try to wear them to maybe work that out but no luck yet, and I really haven't worn them that often. I've heard you have to wear Birkenstocks for a while to get them to be more comfortable. I'd rather they be comfortable from the start.#sweepstakes... Show more

Who would have thought.
I've been wonderfully blessed with flat/weak arches, heels that want to collapse inward like the stick that broke the camels back, and the oh-so horrid second toe that is longer than the big toe. Makes it hard to find shoes, especially sandals, that dont give off geriatric or cavemen vibes, no offense.Of course I went through the cheaper options, I'm only human. I dont think Im one to drag my feet, but after a few months most of the soles of my sandals were non-existent. Slipping on the stairs and going down like a sack of potatoes gave me quite the obvious epiphany that maybe, just maybe, there's something else out there that dont cause my toes to clamp down like falcon talons anytime I walk on tile for fear of public humiliation. After years of hearing hippies ... Being the rebel I am, I went leather. Hope that still gets me in the club, as I'm sure most wear vegan. I've recently jumped on the Moosejaw wagon and it's been a good ride so far. I suppose I'll also admit Im a sucker for rewards (thanks Moosejaw for finding my kryptonite). So naturally, I rationalized to myself that I wasn't "really" spending that much on a pair of shoes.Enough rambling. Anyways, I was like a kid at Christmas when the package came. I slid on my little heaven walkers, and.....whoa. They keep my heels and arches in check like a Navy Seal drill sergeant, and that lonely long toe can join the rest of the piggies, safely tucked inside the front lip of the shoe. Throw a little polish and BAM, feet that look like I'm intentionally letting them out of sneaker confinement. Guess the moral of the story is.....trust a hippie?... Show more
