I absolutely love this vacuum! I was skeptical because of the shorter cord and it being so petite but this vacuum is really amazing! The suction power is very good and it's well worth needing to empty the canister quite often. It doesn't have a brush which has advantages when it comes to suction on this model and also I can keep it clean underneath by using a cleaning wipe. It works great on stairs which is what I originally bought it for. I have a bad back and this is such a tremendous help because I never hurt myself vacuuming anymore! It detaches to make a great hand vac which work well on my coach and pet bed. I use this featherweight vacuum every day. It cleans good and picks up where the larger vacuums can't reach. It's dual operational and very handy. You will know when the filter needs to be clean, it doesn't vacuum up as good, now that is the time to clean the filter and the large cup that holds larger debris. The only thing I caution for those that have this vacuum, when you remove the stick from the vacuum there is a sharp piece of plastic that's on top (that must have broken off a small piece) of the lever you pull down. It cut my finger so I try to be more careful not to let that happen again. And vowed to let the company know about it for safety purposes in the future.

However I never have an issue with the cord length. It has unbelievably strong suction and I clean up pet hair easily..... in fact it even grabs up the hair into the machine before the vacuum head gets to it - that's how strong the suction is!!!! If somebody buys this with the expectations of using it as a deep cleaner, they need to get something different because this is a small stick vacuum and it definitely performs amazingly well for what it's intended for. The dust cup is very easy to empty and you just have to tap the filter on the side of the trash can to loosen dirt and sometimes remove pet hair from it with your fingers. Also regular washing of the filter is good to keep the suction flowing. I highly recommend this!!!!

I have a Bissell Upright vacuum which works great. I also purchased this Bissell FeatherWeightâ„¢ Lightweight stick vacuum because the price, the integrated removable handheld vacuum feature and the ease of a quick vacuum all appealed to me. I can still use my heavy vacuum, but I haven't yet because this lightweight does a good job, the small filter cup is so easy to clean and it's less work and less time consuming. Vacuuming isn't such an arduous task anymore so I'm a lot happier. I like to keep things clean.

I have a built in vacuum system and I do love it however I can't use it for now. I bought this particular vacuum because it is so light and I cannot believe how good it actually works. I am amazed! I have had several featherweights, and I usually only get a new one because I gift them to friends when they see how well and easy this little vacuum works. I always have had a dog (short-haired) and I always lived in places that have both carpet (low) and tile/wood flooring. And my Featherweight cleans it all. It is my go-to broom, except that I don't need a dustpan. I use this all the time and low that it's so lightweight. Definitely one of my favorites to help keep my house/car clean. I also like that you can take the handle off and that it has a long cord. Be realistic in your expextations (don't expect it to clean shag carpet), and you won't be disappointed. This vacuum stick rocks ! I have some physical issues so I ordered this to help me keep my floors cleaner. Well now, this little work horse is so easy to use. It's lightweight but has the suction of a full size strong horsepower vacuum. I am really so happy with it, I like knowing my floors are swept and feel like I won the cleaning sweepstakes because It also becomes a small hand held vacuum for my counter and chairs. I wish the cord was longer, but that's just so minor and a bit lazy on my part. Very affordable!
I needed a vacuum to pick up cat litter from the litter mat as well as the hardwood floor of the room where the litter boxes are located. A regular vacuum was too heavy for me to use comfortably. We have a very good Dyson portable stick vacuum but the litter granules don't stay in the canister and fall out when I am finished. I purchased this Bissell due to the reviews. This is fantastic! As others have said, it almost looks like a child's toy. It is all plastic and extremely light weight. However, it picks up litter like a champ and holds it in the canister until it is emptied. I do have to change or clean the filter about once a week due to the build up of cat hair. This is quite easy to do. To clean them, I vacuum out the cat hair with another vacuum and then squirt a little Dawn dish detergent on the filter, hold it under running water while I gently rub all sides of the outside of the filter with my fingers. Rinse well and then let air dry. To me, the cleaned ones are just as good as a new filter. They are very durable. There is also a sponge filter at the end of the vacuum part that I did not notice for a while. I would recommend getting one or two for spares. I just gently shake it out when dirty. It is pretty small. I have given up taking off the main attachment and using the nozzle because I can't get the main attachment off. I don't care. I really do not need the nozzle. I cannot say enough about how great this is for my needs. It works great for hard floors. It will do a fine job of picking up litter that rests on or near the top surface of a carpet. It would not be great for deeper cleaning of a carpet.
I am using this lightweight but worthless vacuum on carpet and flooring in a small (796 sq ft) apartment. The vacuum must be cleaned out several times during each vacuum because once it get dirty inside, it will not pick up anything! And once I clean the vacuum, it barely picks up anything. I have only had it a short while and use it about once a week. I bought it because it was small, lightweight and inexpensive. I also needed one that would not be hard on my back. I think I am expecting too much! It just does not do the job I need. My apt is not dirty.
I Read many reviews before buying! This thing is super lightweight, has many fuctions! Great for quick vacuuming rooms, or take the handle off and do your stairs, or take the bottom off and use for your car or quick spills or dirt ect! This is bagless and easy to empty! Suction is very good, No problems on carpet, throw rugs or wood floors! Very quite when running! Great price! My only complaint you can not go room to room on the power cord, it is not long enough! I picked up a 10 ft single plug extension cord and all is good!
