I was about to replace my carpet after my son destroyed the carpeting in his bedroom. He had spilled tobacco juice onto a large area then covered it up so I would not see it. After I moved him out and discovered the stain it was now 10 years old. I bought the Bissel cleaner to attempt to clean the spot. I was amazed that most of it came up. There is still a faint stain, but it can hardly be seen. The cons are that it is very, very loud; I have to wear noise canceling headphones when I use it otherwise it could damage my hearing and I have to let the parts air dry outside for quite awhile as the water container and hose cannot be dried by hand. Overall, though, I am very pleased.

When I opened the box I was definitely excited, the design looked very nice and it is nice and compact. But when it came down to functionality, I was unfortunately disappointed. The hose felt very short and keeps coiling up as you try to use it. The attachment piece leaks a bit when you are using the wet option and I found it extremely difficult to hold the hose when cleaning.... the spray button is positioned exactly where you would grab it to hold and makes it very difficult to use. I also had a hard time wrapping up the hose and locking the sprayer part in, seems it doesn't fit right or something. I purchased this item form Target on 11-11-2023. I waited until 11-12-2023 to use it and I was very disappointed. The only thing this machine is good for, is wetting and possibly ruining your furniture. It has weak suction and the dirty water tank was almost dry. I assumed these were honest reviews, so agaisnt my better judgement, because I had tried a Bissell uoright before and it was garbage also, but I purchased this thing. I am so upset right now. I had been using Hoover for over 20 years, so I wanted to gice Bissell a try, based on reviews. Wrong move on my part. I am elderly, so I dont have the time nor energy to lug this thing back and forth to returns. This is a sad day when you cant trust anyone...SMH
This worked really well for getting cat urine and the smell out of my area rugs and furniture. I did need to clean both sides of the rug. It has a fresh scent that dissipated after a day or so. I don't like chemical smells, but anything is better than cat pee. The one annoyance I have with it, so far, is that the pet stain tool I used made a mess when using it on furniture. It would aggressively drip out the sides when using it at an angle on furniture, even after I had stopped pushing the button to release the spray. I haven't tried the other tools yet. Overall it was a great investment and very easy to clean. Just remember to empty the machine itself after taking the buckets out, as some water remained in the machine.
I bought this product to clean the rug in my rabbits' pen. I spot clean the rug whenever I see an accident, but I wanted to get a deeper clean. Let's just say I am not as good of a spot cleaner as I thought I was.... It's a little gross (but also satisfying) to watch the dirty water fill the machine, but their rug truly looks almost new again. This got out stains that I thought were permanent discoloration. I'm glad I finally bought this and I highly recommend! The only downside is that even after multiple passes of suction without adding more cleaning solution, the rug was still wet enough that it took a significant amount of time to fully dry (my bunnies were not happy about this). #sweepstakes
The clean tanks leaks no matter what I do to troubleshoot it. I even checked Bissell's support. All recommendations didn't help prevent the leak. The machine is also extremely loud. Ridiculously obnoxiously loud. So loud my neighbors within a 20block radius can hear it. After a short clean, my head is ringing and everyting cause it's so darn loud! Cleaning-wise - I think it's ok. I can see the tank gets dirty so it's cleaning something. My rug doesn't necessarily "look" cleaner. The solution is pretty strong so it masked most of the smell. However, I was cleaning up cat urine so once that cleaning smell wore off I can smell the cat urine. I did notice a little leakage underneath when I was done but certainly not much. My husband came in and looked at it when I was finished and said it looked even better than when we got it! I sure hope it lasts a long time. I made sure to wash everything out when I was done. Oh and the dirty water tank does open all the way you just have to move the handle all the way over. (It catches a tiny bit on the corners but just keep moving it gently and it will open up. Super happy with this purchase so far!
