This is my 3rd or 4th Bissell product purchased over the years. This was bought about 2 months ago and been used about 5 to 6 times since purchasing. Each model I've purchased over the years I feel gets worse and worse. Basic functionality seems lost and downgraded with every model. I bought the Bissell little green pro heat pet about a year ago. I have used it minimally, only to clean stains on my living room rug and sofa occasionally. The hose has now a hole in it and the attachment doesn't clip on anymore. Bad reviewers almost made me not purchase. Glad I didn't listen. This is an amazing portable carpet cleaner. It simply shoots hot, soapy water while maintaining the water temp and then sucks it up. I pretreated stains with Bissel Spot + Stain soap and followed manual instructions. I filled tank with 140 degrees F water (used thermometer) and soap. Fifteen minutes of cleaning (without turning off), temperature was 130 degrees F. The results were amazing! I was worried about the soap having a strong fragrance. This little machine removed years of stains with little to no effort on my part. This causes me to dry heave and I have to now clean an even bigger mess. You might be wondering did you empty the dirty water tank before you started? YES yes I did and I cleaned it too. That shouldn’t have been an issue and it wasn’t full enough to trigger the floating valve to stop the cleaner from sucking in the polluted water. I’ve heard that Bissel’s products have been of low quality in recent years but this has thoroughly convinced me to never buy another product from them again. I don’t want my money back I want to feel as clean and happy as I felt this morning. I want products that won’t break within a year. I don’t want a product that makes me feel like I regret getting a dog even though this wasn’t her fault. Buy this if you are a foolish individual with a disposable income and lust for disappointment. Now I must go and wash myself until I have washed away all my body oils and first layer of skin cells. 0/10 would not recommend.

It uses far less water and cleaning product than the upright does, and for the spot cleaning I had hoped to use it for, it did an outstanding job. I mean, 3-week old dried up runny butt residue is gone on ivory carpet. THAT kind of good. I love how compact it is and I love the way the hose, cord, and attachments are wrapped up when not in use. This was a fantastic purchase at a great price, home delivered. I am probably going to toss the larger unit as it just doesn't begin to compete with this Bissell.

I wasn't using enough fluid and the carpet is Shag and it wasn't coming clean. On my second attempt I had to refill a 4x6 area halfway through. Each small section I would pull the trigger and constantly scrub then I could see a huge difference. I used a little footstool and sat on the rug. In the photos you can see one square where I got the white part of the rug very white. It's a little difficult to tell because the rug has white gray and dark gray colors.
