Brought one not to long ago, started getting hot after a short time so let it cool down, then kept using it for a few jobs after and seemed to be working fine but was wondering why I was going through so many drill bits then worked out there was a bit of play in the end of it, so must of warn really quickly.can’t find receipt so live and learn.

It was disappointing to see this doesn't have a depth stop which is a common feature on many hammer drills, even cheaper ones. There are other ways to set the depth including using tape on the drill bit but they're not as accurate as a depth stop.
Bought this to fix some screens to an outside plastered concrete block wall. I have an 18v cordless Black & Decker drill (not a hammer-drill), and in the past, for occasional work into masonry, I've persevered with using that. But I had too many holes required for this job to do it that way. This tool drilled through the 12-year old concrete so easily I was amazed. Made very clean holes. An excellent tool for occasional DIY tasks.

I do not normally bother to review items, but I thought I should cone and warn you off from buying this. The price is cheap yes, but this is not a tool, its rubbish.I wonder if I drilled 20 holes all up, the keyless chuck ALWAYS lets go and end up marring your drilbits, paint mixer or what ever. When you do put your all into tightening it, its later impossible to open without putting the chuck in a vice and grabbing it with a monkey wrench.If you want a great buy cheap drill, buy ab Inco or AEG branded one.I'll never buy Black and Decker again.

Good little workhorse - the motor is strong enough for most DIY projects. The side grip handle is a useful accessory. Like most power tools, a longer cord would be helpful. The keyless chuck does not tighten as much as a keyed one, and drill bits 2mm or smaller are not held firmly enough.
I bought this drill for myself many years ago (after a recommendation from a work colleague), and am so pleased with it that I recently bought one for my daughter.This drill does everything I need it to, yet it's very inexpensive.
