I was unable to purchase the hedge trimmer I wanted as it was no longer available. However the staff came up with a deal that was actually more expensive but they discounted it down to the original price of the unavailable model. This new model works like a dream and performs much better than expected

I'm so happy I bought this hedge trimmer. It's not too heavy to hold but still looks and feels high quality, it has great safety features, cuts really well and the charge lasts for a very long time. I use it mostly for shaping box hedging, so not having a cord makes it so much easier to use.

Excellent help from the staff member in store who helped me decide which features I needed in a hedge trimmer. This one was the best choice. It has already been used three times and is easy to use, nice and lightweight so even me as a lady can use it easily. It is easy to shape and trim the hedges and has sharp blades with a double switch safety feature. Awesome tool. Was using hand pruners for years and don't know why I didn't get the hedge trimmer sooner. The best buy all year. Cuts really well, and the battery lasts a long time. It's not very loud, and is very easy and comfortable grip on the handle when holding and using the tool.

Awesome hedge trimmer. Light and easy to use, I do need to have a couple of batteries fully charged to do the whole hedge, which is no problem. Best thing is there's no cords to tangle or drag around. Overall it's well balanced. I also have it's smaller brother.
Purchased to trim a jasmine hedge. It was noted that jasmine produced sticky juice and cutting videos on YouTube showed problems using hedge trimmers. No problem with this Black & Decker. Clean cut and no residue left on the blade.
I saw this on a Garden Club special offer, then found the in-store shelf price was the same which was very annoying! Anyhow, renting a trimmer for one day was going to cost between a half and a third of the cost of buying this so I thought it was worthwhile buying it. I was very pleasantly surprised at how light and easy to use it was and how quickly the battery charged. (My electric toothbrush takes nearly 24 hours, the hedge trimmer less than 2!) Battery life in use was impressive, I trimmed all my hedge, top, ends and sides and still had battery power left. The trimmer also cut through quite thick branches, meaning the job was a lot quicker and much less effort than I had expected.
This super lightweight cordless hedge trimmer makes short work of shaping up hedges and shrubs. I used it on my Lilly pilly hedge, and even to shape up a pomegranate tree.It is very light and easy to maneuver, and allows quite precise trimming if required. I didn’t get sore arms from holding it at all.The only thing that could be improved is the instruction manual is very basic and doesn’t tell you how to clean the blade after use or what to oil it with.
I've never owned or operated a trimmer before and I found it extremely easy to use.I wasn't 100% sure if I should buy this and because of the lockdown I couldn't discuss the item face-to-face with a staff member. My main worries were: how long would the battery last on a single charge, and would it have enough grunt to cope with an old hedge with quite a few thick branches? I needn't have worried - there was enough charge for all my hedges and bushes. Manually with hedge clippers would have taken hours, the trimmer did it in minutes. I did need to use loppers for 2 or 3 of the thick branches but I wouldn't expect any trimmer to handle those - manual clippers wouldn't have worked either.
When I got this I was concerned it wouldn't tackle the extensive hedging in my garden because it was so light. I was pleasantly surprised when it did as good if not better job than my previous robust electric one. I have lilly pilly hedges and it handled them with ease. It's a little hard on the hand holding down both the safety on's but they all have this to some degree.
Fantastic little hedge trimmer. I just picked it up to tidy up my driveway hedge and a few bits and pieces around my property and am very happy with it for the price point. The battery lasted long enough to let me do the whole lot in one go, which would have taken about 60 - 90 mins without running out. The Charger charges the battery in a decent time frame too.
