I got this when my daughter Jolene was 2 and we first got her on belay. Now she's almost 5 and it still fits with plenty of room to grow. Easy to adjust and get on/off, plus very comfortable for her. Here's a review in Jolene's words: "Guess how much I love my harness? 1,000!"

The harness is great for smaller children that may be nervous about falling, they can't with the harness on. Only tricky part is unhooking the carabiner from the trolley if they are too short to touch the ground while standing.

I bought this for my two boys to take climbing, one is 3 and the other is 5. This harness is absolutely perfect for them. Ive used almost every brand of harness from Metolius, Petzl, ArcTeryx and this one is just as good as any adult harness out there. The three year old needs the straps tightened all the way down but it fits him perfectly and my five year old has plenty of room left in the straps. This is FAR better and much easier to use than the black webbing harnesses at gyms as well. They actually had fun just hanging around in the harness when I took them to practice with it.

We are just introducing our little guy to climbing at the local gym over the winter. He's loving wearing the harness and swinging around in it. He's 18 months old, weighs 24 pounds and is still a little small for the harness at this point, even at it's smallest setting. Due to his height and centre of gravity, when he hangs in the harness he goes horizontal and it wouldn't be good to let him try to climb and have him flip with a fall. That's no fault of the harness, however, just that he is still small and will have to grow into it a bit. He's having a blast and that's what counts for now!
I can't stop my 4-year-old from climbing things she's not supposed to so we got this for her so that she can climb something safely for a change. She's very comfortable with it, and it's secure and easy to adjust.It turns out she's three times better at climbing when you remove the fear of falling.
We have a kids harness from another brand and the location of the buckles caused some uncomfortable rubbing on the neck. As soon as we our kid started climbing in this harness she never complains about sore spots or pressure areas. Harness is lightweight, durable, and packs down nicely. fits our kids ages 3 and 5. im sure it will fit a 6yr old and possibly a 7yr old depending how fast they grow.
Quality harness. Love that I can introduce my little one to climbing at such a young age. Kids are fearless so having a quality harness you don’t need to worry about puts my mind at ease.Price point is good as well so I won’t have hard feelings when he grows out of it. This harness is adjustable so I should be able to get a few years of use out of it before he is ready for something new.Big props to Black Diamond for considering the kids.
This is a great harness for petite/small waisted kids who climb. My daughter is a gym climber and has a narrow waist. She used a Petzl Simba at the gym which worked but she always wanted to take it off as soon as she was off the wall as it wasn't very comfortable and she complained about how it felt when she was being lowered. We did some research and ordered both the Momentum and the Edelrid Fraggle. The Momentum was by far the most comfortable both on the wall and off and is easy for her to put on and take off. This is definitely the one we will stick with until she outgrows it and hopefully will fit into a waist harness.
I got these to replace the Climbing shoes my little buddy is quickly outgrowing. I again bought them two sizes too big in order to accommodate growth. As most kids don’t want or need tight performance shoes having them too big is fine. He wears them with socks and the heel Velcro allows for a little tightening and smaller sizing. . His response when seeing them were “these are great”. So there you have it. They do the job for kids Climbing and are a fun name and color which received approval from my 7 year old buddy.He wears a size 1.5 street shoe. I got the size 4 which allows one finger of space at the toe (but within a year I’m sure they will be too small anyway)
So cool putting your kid in one of these and immediately envisioning decades of climbing joy together. Feels great starting their rock adventures in BD gear. Well designed harness. Great fit on my 2 y/o and looking forward to him growing in it for several years.
