Good feel to the gate, lock action is smooth, nice size/weight. It's a good biner for the price. I think the Petzl biners feel a bit nicer but they're much more expensive.

This is a nice locker with no frills. Lightweight and big enough for a rappel device or a munter hitch. I often use it for my personal anchor or for setting up an anchor.

My first carabiner purchase and I have no regrets! I have already purchased more and use them on a regular basis. Perfect for ATCs and belaying your friends!
I enjoy the lightweight design and geometry of this biner, and I'd feel comfortable using it now in the gym, on my gear, and even in the mountains. However, I've noticed that the screw feels a little flimsy and sometimes gets caught or doesn't stay in the unlocked position when on my harness. Never had any issues when locked, which is good! The biner also doesn't have as much clearance as I was hoping compared to similarly shaped biners on the market, so it's a tradeoff for the weight and price.
Vaporlock is surprisingly light for its size. In fact, it is lighter than many other smaller lockers. BD really manipulated the shape of the aluminum stock into a sort of I-beam to get the weight down. I now use the vaporlock for almost all my locker needs, except rappelling. For that I use the Mini Pearabiner which is basically the same size but has a bit thicker rod stock to better withstand the wear incurred by rappelling.
This has replaced my other hms biners because it’s very light but still holds a munter or clove on my larger (10.4mm) ropes. Im not sure it would do a munter well with anything bigger than 11mm. It’s strong enough to use instead of D shaped for everything else and light enough to carry several, so i use these for the majority of my locker needs (bulletproofs are my other lockers for the high grit rope rub situations).
I’ve been using it for about a year now and it has been a great addition to my climbing gear. It’s sturdy, it’s a good size, and I think it has a cool color scheme. Solid product!
Yes, they might be a bit more expensive, but gram for gram most versatile biner out there. And the update is nice. BD, please never stop making them, but if you do let me know so I can stock up!
Locking gate stuck shut, and because of how I tied my cleaning ropes, I had to cut 2 slings to get off the wall. Very frustrating. I cannot figure out what caused it to lock, perhaps a tiny rock got in the mechanism?
