Streamlined shape allows it to be hidden from drivers view behind most rear view mirrors. Mounts and adhesives are all top notch and cable lengths are adequate for most sedans. Works best with a B-112 battery pack for set and forget operation.I’ve owned 3 different 6-700 series BlackVue dashcams and all are currently working in different cars.Video quality is not great compared to a GoPro but on par or better than all other dashcams.

This is my second Blackvue dashcam, installed in ute with canopy. Fantastic package and probably one of the best parking dashcams out there. No need for Power magic pro as voltage monitoring is built in for the X series when hardwired in.Re video quality, I did consider the 4K 900X, however it is worth considering that fast-moving number plates will be easier to see on the 750 vs the 900 thanks to the faster frame rate. So definitely something worth considering - the video quality isn't the only factor. Plus the video quality is quite decent anyway for the 750X.

Installed the DR750 xPlus today. Install went smooth, easier than I thought. This cam runs very warm just recording and I didn't even have it in the car yet. Had trouble reliably connecting to the cam from the app. I touwl connect to my phone, but app would keep saying could not connect with wifi. Had to disconnect cam and receonent to get it to work. This happened more than one. Took it out for a spin to see how good it was and well, I am less than impressed. My video quality is not as good as the images I have seen only from other people. I have the setting on Extreme so not sure why it doesn't look so good. And the back cam is also rather poor. I will give it a spin for a week or so and email Blackvue as to why they think the video does not look great and why it ... MoreInstalled the DR750 xPlus today. Fantastic dash cam with excellent features and good quality footage. Intsalled into my GQ Patrol wagon and unfortunately the supplied cables were too short for where I wanted them to go. Power cable was 30cm too short to reach my auxillary battery between the middle row seats and the cargo drawers, so instead had to use the cranking battery. The coax cable was 1.3m short of reaching the rear camera at the top of the large rear barn door, though a cable joiner and short cable direct from blackvue sorted this issue.
I kissed 600 bucks goodbye. Over heating and poor picture quality is what my money bought me. On extremely hot days I took the unit out of the car and carried it with me foregoing any parking security. I thought I was doing it and myself a favor but nooo. Now I'm back to purchasing the lesser of all evils in dash cams. Every dashcam on earth has 1 star reviews. Hell, my phone can do a better job than this unit. I use Drive Safe And Save with State Farm so using my phone as a dashcam is out of the question because it's viewed as phone usage while driving...Good grief why is this technology so difficult to get right? I threw enough money at it, didn't I?
I fit these to a lot of different males and models and BlackVue understands that not all cars work the same and especially if you own a European car I highly encourage you to go for the this.In this day and age with new cars becoming more filled with tech and extras the electrical components are becoming more sensitive or having issues arised with dash camsYou can rest easy with this as they designed the park mode with work it both GPS and ACC so it can be used for a lot of new cars where the accessories don’t immediately shut down for example most European cars however sometimes there is an issue for some car models which you would need to have the battery expansion as well but which is in a rare case but in saying that most other dash cams arnt able to go into ... MoreI fit these to a lot of different males and models and BlackVue understands that not all cars work the same and especially if you own a European car I highly encourage you to go for the this.In this day and age with new cars becoming more filled with tech and extras the electrical components are becoming more sensitive or having issues arised with dash camsYou can rest easy with this as they designed the park mode with work it both GPS and ACC so it can be used for a lot of new cars where the accessories don’t immediately shut down for example most European cars however sometimes there is an issue for some car models which you would need to have the battery expansion as well but which is in a rare case but in saying that most other dash cams arnt able to go into park mode with multiple functions and can only do into park mode via accessoriesAs my personal experience with this dash cam and installing other brandsThe BlackVue app is by far one of the best and easy to use app as for other apps for other brands I cannot say the same as finding footages is very difficult we as the BlackVue app was a lot easier to findAnd the clarity of the footage and lens it’s very clear even though it’s other brands say they hav 1080p recording when I compared my cheaper 1080p dash cam to the BlackVue750 that’s also 1080p the clarity and the footage is a lot clearer and for night time recording
Not impressed with the video quality, even in clear daylight. The rear cam can't see at night in parking mode. The interior has good infrared at night, but video is very grainy. The field of view is significantly less than in many other dash cam models. Instead of front and cabin cam on same unit, they are two separate cameras, which adds wires and takes up space on your windshield (in many states -- illegal). I think the cabin cam should be on a 360 rotatable mount. You can aim it higher or lower, but not turn it toward you more (as you might like to do in the case of a cop or road-rage driver coming to your window). I like that they use tape rather than suction mount. It was very easy to run the wires and hide behind trim (took 10 minutes). I like that they use tape rather than suction mount. It was very easy to run the wires and hide behind trim (took 10 minutes). I haven't done the hardwire yet, but it's simple. I've had no issues with the companion app for viewing. I can use the app to view the camera live (to set it up), to change the settings, and to view the recorded files -- but only when it's connected to my home wifi. I can't figure out how to access the files beyond that. But if you want to view using the cloud service, you'll have to pay for a special device (costly), a SIM card, and monthly data service.
The blackVue 750s was a stellar dash cam, now discontinued. They have 2 replacements, the dr750x and the dr750x plus LTE version. The former will not connect to the cloud unless you have the module. For this camera and spec this is a must and the main point of having a blackvue camera. If you don’t want to use the cloud feature there are better brands that are cheaper. The DR750s should not have been discontinued.
Blackvue are some of the finest quality dash cams in this country. I have had 2 650s for several years used in the same high end vehicle and they are performed without fail. It is important, however, to understand how to install and operate these sytems, i.e., read the instructions and practice each capability while in your driveway. It's not brain science, but you still need to understand basic functions. Today, I have upgraded to the 900 UHD and am using my 650s as side cams. So I'm covered 360 now from those meaning to drive carelessly.
This is the perfect dash cam for my needs. It’s slim and compact…just right for my Subaru Outback w/EyeSight, as there are limited parts of the windshield I can use without interfering with this safety system. The picture quality is fine for me, as I don’t have anything to view 4K movies on anyway.I can’t speak highly enough of thedashcamstore.com, as they were fast and helpful to reply with my pre-purchase questions…the dash cam was received only a couple of days after placing the order…and they were able to answer my post-purchase questions right away.I’ve seen folks on Facebook slam Blackvue’s high prices, but they’ve all quoted prices higher than reality. (Makes me think it’s a competitor posting them!).I highly recommend this Blackvue camera!
