All metal parts, feels like it will last, does not feel flimsy. The angle adjustment has teeth, so it will not drift or creep, but you are limited to certain angles. If you are worried about profile (if you stream), it is nice that it is low, so you might be able to frame it out of the shot, but the wavy pattern on the inner ring might show more than the shockmount II. It has a more narrow radius, but a little more height.Works well with the compass arm. The bundling suggests this with the Yeti, but I use it with the Blue Raspberry Mic - I needed to use a thread adapter but fortunately the Raspberry comes with one.Overall, would recommend.

Just got it and tried it out today. This is a sturdy stable shockmount for the Blue Yeti. It has the same lock hinge mechanism that's advertized in its predecessor (Radius II). I kept wondering why was it cheaper and they don't mention the locking mechanism the way they did on the older version.Suffice to say, it has that locking mechanism. It kept my Blue Yeti stable during recording and it made me hold off on the Blue Compass or Rode PSA1. I thought my economical mic stand would be no good but the stabilty of this shockmount made my mic stand work great.I had a cheaper shock mount that just couldn't hold the mic in place which made the stand wobbly and I had to hold the mic in place to do recordings with it.Don't cringe at the $49.99 price tag. This is a must for the blue yeti mics. The mics tend to pick up any bumps and vibrations as the gain is sensitive on the mics. This product will help reduce unwanted noises originating from your desk vibrations. Installation was easy.Cons: Price point, for $49.99 seems a bit costly for this gadget as you can find alternatives at a lower price. I decided to stick to this as it’s made by Blue! and quality is what I am looking for. Audio setup is usually not a place to cheap out.

I decided to buy the Radius III over the Radius II because many complained that the screw is too loose to fit inside the Yeti. Well... while I do like the updated design (much lighter), the screw is still wayyyyy too loose. Definitely feel that I will cross thread my base or strip the threads if I put tape on it. I'm pretty sure all these mics all have a standardized base screw size... I ended up just using my boom mic stand w/ screw for now because I don't want my mic to drop onto the floor. I do like the new design, but unfortunately haven't tried out this shock mount yet due to the screw issue. Will update if I get a new screw. I have tested out the blue radius 3 and its not bad. My mic managed to fit in it perfectly... but there is still the problem with the screws being loose.... I honestly expected the blue radius 3 to resolve this problem after the blue radius 2 loose screw problem. After 5 minutes , the shockmount just becomes unstable and the mic starts to slowly go downwards ( the mic is facing upwards for me ) which tends to be extremely irritating and yes, I have ensured it is secured tightly to the point that I cant make it any tighter but it seems to only work for 5 minutes. Im not sure if I am the only one facing this problem but I just wanted to point it out. Other than that , the product seems to be alright.
This is the most recent version of the Radius (III) Shock Mount. Advertised to fit the Yeti series of microphones. I opted to spend over double the cost of another Yeti approved shock mount offered by another company due to the sleekness and durability of this design. I believe the other one may have been plastic and encased more of the face of the microphone. This one is all metal and very durable with unexpected amount of weight. The weight was actually a good thing as I'm pairing this with a Blue Compass desk boom arm which requires a good amount of weight to balance out it's spring tension. The only issues are the mounting piece where you attach the microphone came at an angle that cause the microphone to look tilted (messing with my OCD). I gently bent the metal arm just enough to get my microphone looking somewhat straight, but I'd be very careful for fear of breaking the arm. The other issue I have is the thread mount that hooks into the boom arm/microphone stand. When attached and fully tightened to the Blue Compass boom arm, the microphone is facing inwards. When adjusting the microphone to face me, I have to back off the mounting threads and cinch down the tightening collar, but the mounting post is somewhat visible with potential for jiggle if you don't keep the collar tight. Since all of my items are made by Blue and designed to work together, I'd think the fit should have been designed to tighter specs.A little costly for what it is, but it does pair elegantly with the Blue Compass and Yeti Pro.
So I bought this thinking it might help with the sound of my mechanical keyboard, thinking that maybe the vibrations of the keycaps hitting bottom was exacerbating the sound of it. But yeah, no. Condenser mics gon' be condenser mics. Anyway, listen. This is a great, quality item. It's sturdy and well built. It's just.. it doesn't really do anything for 'noise' reduction and I don't think it's gonna do anything for most people buying a Blue Yeti (which this is meant to be paired with). On that front, there's not much more to say. SO BASICALLY: tl;dr If you're buying this shock mount as a streamer or podcast creator, this really isn't gonna do much for you. You probably don't even need a shock mount. Maybe for other use cases this has practicality but then you ... Have tried this with a different microphone than the one they suggest as am awaiting that on order to try. But with my set up it seems to have removed the vibration from my microphone without much hassle at all! It's light it's sturdy and seems up to the task of doing what it is supposed to do. I would say the price is higher than average hence ordering the microphone to see how it compares. But I have tried with a bit of a make shift set up with my current microphone and all seems good!
Paired with Yeti Blackout & Compass Stand:Can't recommend as this enough for those looking to take their audio quality to the next level. The Yeti Blackout sounded great, but you can eliminate nearly all vibrations of hitting your desk if paired with this shock mount and the Compass stand. The tension is adjustable, and it's incredibly easy to set up. With all three components, you'll have a VERY high quality sound without paying too much.
Radius III is well designed to hold yeti microphone not just yet but can also hold other brand. It's strong yet sleek and the thread used is of very good quality. It cuts out all the vibration of my desk caused by keyboard taping, mouse etc. It's very clear while communicating to my colleague over a meeting. It has been a very good companion to record my singing songs. Only thing was it had to be set in proper angle and rest all is taken care off. Easy to use and holds the microphone weight well.
