I've now had the POWERNODE for several months and it's an amazing piece of kit. I upgraded from a Denon RCD N11 as it was constantly going into protection mode after buying my new floorstander speakers. No such problem with POWERNODE as the 8o watts per channel make all the difference. I'm using Q Acoustic 3050i speakers which have powerful bass drivers and the POWERNODE has no problem driving them. The sound stage is big and effortless. It's especially good with modern bass heavy, synth-y type music like Gorillaz, Caroline Polachek. Dua Lipa, SG Lewis, Wet Leg etc. Not sure if that's due to the amp, the speakers or both? The Bluos operating system is seamless and so easy and intuitive to use. I'm using the unit via wi-fi and the signal is robust and resilience. ... MoreI've now had the POWERNODE for several months and it's an amazing piece of kit. I've scarcely had any outages or problems with streaming high res music from Tidal. All in all, I've now got an audiophile hi-fi listening experience for a very reasonable price. For anything better you would have to pay over double the price and even then you wouldn't get double the improvement!

Having used the Powernode for a few days, it's apparent that it's a very capable streaming amp. Sound quality through my Sennheiser HD660S headphones is so detailed, with pinsharp stereo separation and no apparent sibilance (unless it's from the recording). The only issue I've come across, is with the BlueOS app, that you must use to select music source and tracks from my library. For the first few days, the app behaved oddly, in that the menu list of sources would lose all the sources. So no internet radio, or streaming services, no USB library. During the first day or so, I resorted to factory-resetting the amp to try fixing this, only for the problem to re-occur. Anyways, the problem appears to have corrected itself, without my intervention. I suspect what's ... I suspect what's happening is that the Amp takes time to re-index my USB HDD (as it has over 70GB library), and until it completes, it doesn't know what information to display. I've reported the issue to BlueSound.

Great hardware, sounds clear with higher resolution than my previous reciever+ipdad and tidal combo. Not as much life, id love to see more eq options as well, rather than bass and treble. I use the subwoofer, tough i feel the rca sub out doesnt scale with the speaker outputs well, but this could be my setup with an active sub. Maybe resoonances in my room? Anyway, had the 2i but returned it as this one was just released.Things they did not fix: google assistant/bluvoice - HORRIBLE IMPLEMENTATION with google. Totally broken. App is very buggy. Good connection with tidal app. Playlists are confusing and wierd . If the app and google assist were fixed, 5 stars. As it is now, they fixed nothing on the software side, this units weak point. But, it does sound great!! ... Great sound and easy to set up, in my case with wired Oberon 5 speakers and sources either streaming Tidal or from music collection on a laptop, through the BluOS system. BluOS is mostly easy to use and effective, although I had to Google the Help a few times as not everything is intuitive. Control from a tablet or phone is smooth. The unit is very compact and the controls on the top are responsive, although unlikely to be used very often. It looks as if a multi-room setup would be very easy to control, but I don't have that yet.Negatives:1. The internet radio software (TuneIn) does not give access to much in the UK, although it wasn't too hard to find some URLs for the radio streams (Radio 4 etc) that I wanted, and they can then be added as favourites in the ... The Windows implementation of the BluOS controller software is not quite as good as the Android (and I would assume iOS) versions.Overall I am very happy with the Powernode and with the excellent assistance from Richer Sounds staff in Lichfield.
I’ve been looking at the powernode 2i for a while and finally had to buy it due to my old amplifier dying. At this point, I’m streaming or playing lossless files. So this is the perfect one box solution that is very easy to use and sounds excellent for my ears.I’ve had an arcam solo with Quad 11L speakers for over a decade. I knew it was time to update the amp to include digital in at the least. After a good amount of research and auditioning, circumstances forced my hand and I took home the powernode 2i.The sound is musical, just on the warm side of neutral which is perfect. The low end is very well defined and the high frequencies are more defining than before but not at all fatiguing. Furthermore, the unit runs very cool so it can easily go into a ... Furthermore, the unit runs very cool so it can easily go into a cabinet.Could not be happier with the performance and features. Everything works well. Should get a decade’s enjoyment out of this.
I bought this because I wanted Tidal connect in a small unit that will fit on the shelf with my TV using my current speakers. The sound quality is amazing and even had some features I wasn't aware of that are brilliant. The remote learning function has allowed my sky remote to do the volume, the inputs can be set to be auto sense (so it always returns to my TV when not using Tidal) and the sound quality is a noticeable jump from my previous amp. Also note the optical connectors are on mini jack ones but it does come with adapters to standard TOS link. The only downsides are no screen (although there are programable buttons on it) and while the app is excellent the Alexa control advertised is poor / unusable.
Bought this from Moon audio. Sound quality playback is nice, per all the reviews that I watched before purchasing. But there is a constant hissing sound which is noticeable at low volume levels. Once I went on to the Bluesound forums, this is a major issue experienced by many people. I've done a factory reset but no solution. Very annoying. I'm now out of my 30 day return. I would not recommend based on my personal experience.
I was trying to get bluetooth at the same time as the speakers because my wife can't hear the telly without the rest of the street hearing too. But the speakers go off when bluetooth connects. I suppose that's normal. It really boils down to a problem with the telly and so then I started noticing the Bluesound is really quite good. It sounds so sweet. Really clear and effortless. And now I've had it a little while I've grown to really love it. All the streaming stuff works well except TuneIn dislikes RCO Amsterdam. That url can be add as a custom radio so that's OK. I can get the BBC and have full search and everything on IDAGIO. It's all uncomplicated and just works. I can use an old remote to control it too. But mostly it's just nice to listen to.Well done me, a ... The Bluesound POWERNODE is the streaming amplifier box that Bluesound has been striving to make for years. It has the features, aesthetics, build quality, processing power, amplification power and flexibility to make it the hub of your Hi-Fi system for (hopefully) many years. 80 watts of Class D amplification can drive over 90% of contemporary speakers, so you should take your time to select a great pair. The amplifier is pretty much the same as those used in NAD products, so you get full, separated, neutral amplification that has just a little extra bass to keep things very premium sounding. Most people are happy with the amplification out of NAD products (I am). And being Class D, it is small, distortion free and it keeps its cool. What drives it is the Bluesound ... Most people are happy with the amplification out of NAD products (I am). And being Class D, it is small, distortion free and it keeps its cool. What drives it is the Bluesound app and Bluesound OS which is fast and reliable. You can hear a streaming service or Internet radio station play just 2 seconds after selecting it in the app or by touching a preset dot on the box. That's pretty snappy. And name a streaming service, it has it. Deezer Hi-Fi, Spotify, Tidal (MQA), Apple, YouTube, Amazon, Qobuz. And it is Roon certified. This is the Hi-Fi amplifier I have dreamed of for years (decades?). This is the product to seriously consider. Once I heard it, I got over the lack of a physical volume knob immediately.
I've had a HiFi tier Tidal streaming account for 1-1/2 years now and enjoyed the "Masters" or MQA encoded tracks through my high end audio/video system quite a bit, but this Bluesound Powernode lets me hear things on albums I've not heard before. It's not like you can hear new, added bandmembers or anything like that but you can hear backgroung subtleties not heard before. There is plenty of power with the built in NAD amp in the Powernode to drive my fairly power-hungry floorstanding speakers too. I've had it turned up 2/3 of the way for about 5 minutes and figured the neighbors across the road had heard enough so I backed it down. Super easy to set up. Has a smartphone app or, as I like to use , the desktop or laptop controller. My only gripe is there is no balance ... I am a bit hard of hearing in my left ear so I usually turn up the left ot down the right to compensate. One of the best things is I gained space on my stereo gear shelf because I replaced 2 full sized pieces of gear with this (these are rough measurements just for a genearal idea) 9"W x 7"D x 3"H tiny box.The player/amp is actually smaller than that.
