I got the brown pair for less demanding environments, mostly for wet weather situations. I recommend adding your own choice of insole as the original isnāt muchā¦ The generous toe box is a huge bonus. I have wide (D to E width) feet. The boot accommodates my wide, thick foot comfortably. My insoles add a bit more cushioning. Result is a custom-feeling boot that goes anywhere.

I live in Birkenstock and have a pair of chelsea style Birkenstock boots from years ago that just recently fell apart. They do not have anything like it available. I need a wide toe box. So I looked at reviews and tried these boots. I wear a size 40 or 9-9 1/2. I ordered the 6.5 and was worried they would be too small and that a 7 would be too big. I am SO happy with the 6.5. I can wiggle my toes and they fit great with socks on. Yes, they are tough right now to get on and off but I see that getting better over time. They are very sturdy construction and just really cute. Perfect for future traveling. Yeah!

The most important thing about ordering is the size chart. I normally wear a womenās size 8 and had to order a size 5. My new Voltan Black boots are a perfect fit. These are great if you need a wide toe box. Very comfortable with no break in needed. The openings where your feet enter the boot are a bit narrow at first but will eventually stretch. I have a small ankle and it took some patience to get them on the first time. When ordering also consider the type of socks youāll be wearing. I wear mine with thick wool socks. Absolutely love these boots!
I didn't do as suggested on the listing, but bought my normal size 8. This size is a smidge too short for my footbed and my big toe on my larger foot felt smooshed. So for me I probably will need to size up 1/2 a size. I have a little larger size 8 foot. Also the ankle was a little tight for me. Perhaps there's some breaking in and stretching that occurs from wearing. Nordstrom shoes salespeople have told me the shoe should feel comfortable the moment you put them on, it shouldn't need "breaking in". Returning and hoping the larger size comes back in stock.
I love these boots. They are sleek and super capable. I've worn them across mowed fields in the morning dew and out on the town on Saturday night. The stout brown color is pretty dark and contrasts nicely with all the black I wear. The size is a little big. I ordered a 6, and am nearly always a 6, sometimes a 6.5, and yet these are a bit long. Because I wear them in VT, I put on a thick pair of socks and they feel great. But with thin socks, they are a little loose. Of course, because of the snug fit around the ankle, they won't slide off. I think if I went down a size they'd be tight with the thicker socks.

Shoes look nice, but are way too tight. I have worn size 13 my entire life, in all brands. They all fit fine. Except these Blundstones. The right shoe is way too tight at the top of the foot, near the ankle joint. As they are leather, I thought they would stretch with wear, so I kept them. I've worn them. I've put a shoe stretcher in the boot. I sprayed with shoe stretcher leather spray. Still too tight. I should have just returned them during the return window. But now I'm too late. Bummer.
Buying this boot was very challenging. I bought these for my daughter for xmas and when she tried them on, they were enormous. We went back to the website and found the sizing was Australian, which was in a small note well below the line that read Shoe Size. The size 9.5 was sent back for a 6.5 as noted in the conversion table, but these were now too small. I have now reordered a 7.5 and are hoping for the best. Thank goodness I have a LL Bean credit card, otherwise I would be spending a fortune on shipping. The sizing should be more prominent in the description. Getting her foot into the narrow boot opening is also a major chore. I hope they stretch like other reviewers have noted.
Iāve had these boots for over a month now. I was super excited to purchase these boots. They are not great for walking and they are very uncomfortable driving. I really only just wear them outside for short periods of time. For the price point I expected them to be more comfortable for longer periods of time. They hurt the top of my foot. Yes, Iāve worn them plenty and we are well past the 4-day suggested break in period. I have to take them off when driving anywhere out of town.They are fine and Iām sure Iāll wear them a lot here and there but overall I am disappointed with these boots and will not be buying another pair in the future.
