I have tried these boots on in multiple stores and always found them to be uncomfortable contrary to what wearers say about them. When I saw LL Bean was carrying a woman's Blundstone I thought maybe it would be more comfortable. It is a great look but it was way too tight to wear comfortably and it hit the back of lower calf in such a way that you would have to wear hiking socks with them. I ordered a 9 1/2 which I usually wear and I have a wide foot but it was way too small. Sadly I returned.

Finally!!!!! I tried three styles of "adult" blundstone boots and they just did not quite fit. Returned all of them and tried the new 500 ChelseaBoot. It is awesome and fits perfect . They are just too cute with the color band inset. I think the "womens" boot made the difference!!

Blundstone 500, aka Blundies, are the best boot to wear in all seasons. I purchased these for "dressy" occasions when out to restaurants or just to hang out with my friends in a casual atmosphere. This is my third pair of Blundies. The first pair I wore all over Scotland and hiking Acadia National Park. They finally bit the dust this year. I wore them almost everyday. I had them for five years! They are waterproof. Not a drop of water leaked through these boots when hiking in the Highlands of Scotland! I also wear them for my equestrian sports. I have had these boots for over 3 months, and the break in period has not ended. The top leather part of the boot compresses my foot quite a bit that I cannot wear these for long. I notice that if I wear them when I am active, the top leather part does not bother me too much, but that is when my ankle starts to blister. I think these boots are beautiful though, and the versatility makes these the break on period worth it. I would recommend these in any color and for comfort.
They are utilitarian but I think they’re so adorable with every outfit. I wear em with pants @ work, jeans, and skirts. My daughter even wore them to HS with her uniform skirt one morning when she forgot her own shoes!! So comfortable; no break in period at all. I wear em all day and stand a ton with no problems. Highly recommend. I’m going to get a diff color next season
I was reluctant because these are everywhere and I don't generally buy what's "in," but when my go-to Sorrel boots kicked the bucket and I found this pair with the adorable multi-stripe I decided to take the plunge. I wear these every day now. They are SO cute and SO comfortable and go with everything and every occasion. Full disclosure: I live in the Pacific Northwest, where outdoorsy chic is about as fancy as we get. If they weren't so expensive I'd order another pair in black for, you know, really fancy outings. As it is I do think they are worth every penny. I sized up about half a size and probably could have gotten away with my original size, but they don't feel loose or clunky and they are pretty tight on the ankles so I'm going with it.
I didn't do as suggested on the listing, but bought my normal size 8. This size is a smidge too short for my footbed and my big toe on my larger foot felt smooshed. So for me I probably will need to size up 1/2 a size. I have a little larger size 8 foot. Also the ankle was a little tight for me. Perhaps there's some breaking in and stretching that occurs from wearing. Nordstrom shoes salespeople have told me the shoe should feel comfortable the moment you put them on, it shouldn't need "breaking in". Returning and hoping the larger size comes back in stock.

After wearing the boots a couple of times I realized they weren't long enough and I wished I purchased a half size bigger. When I called customer service they told me I couldn't return the boots because they had been worn. Honestly, if I hadn't been truthful, no one would have been able to tell I'd worn them. I was hopeful that your return policy was similar to REI, LLBean, Norsdtrom who take things back if they've been worn and sell them for a bit of a discount at a yearly sell. It's wonderful for customer relations. My first pair of Blunnies, a birthday present to myself. I bought them with easy on & off for camping in mind, but I wear them all the time. Love the striped elastic! Feels snazzier than a solid color. The insert sole does not have much arch; if I'll be wearing the boots for a long day, I switch in a pair from my sneakers. Plenty of toe room up front; I debated ordering a smaller size, but am happy with my decision.
I love these boots. They keep getting more comfortable and I'm falling in love. I especially like the color stretch bit on the sides--they go with everything and the pop of color makes me happy. I do wish that the soles were replaceable, however. I imagine the old Blundstones had stitched soles. Still, I expect years of happy trails!
