I have tried these boots on in multiple stores and always found them to be uncomfortable contrary to what wearers say about them. When I saw LL Bean was carrying a woman's Blundstone I thought maybe it would be more comfortable. It is a great look but it was way too tight to wear comfortably and it hit the back of lower calf in such a way that you would have to wear hiking socks with them. I ordered a 9 1/2 which I usually wear and I have a wide foot but it was way too small. Sadly I returned.

Blundstone 500, aka Blundies, are the best boot to wear in all seasons. I purchased these for "dressy" occasions when out to restaurants or just to hang out with my friends in a casual atmosphere. This is my third pair of Blundies. The first pair I wore all over Scotland and hiking Acadia National Park. They finally bit the dust this year. I wore them almost everyday. I had them for five years! They are waterproof. Not a drop of water leaked through these boots when hiking in the Highlands of Scotland! I also wear them for my equestrian sports. I love these boots, but I learned the hard way how to size. They are true to size so get your usual US size, what causes confusion is the conversion from the US to AUS sizes where they say size down, but they mean size down FOR AUS sizes. If you have narrow feet half size down, or wide feet, half size up. At first, they seem big but that's normal! The slip is there temporarily until they form to your feet. So keep your normal size and you'll be in the clear, just be careful if you wear say a 10, sizing down a half will cause it to drop to a 9.5 meaning the shoe is more narrow but a little bit shorter. A good pair of leather boots that will last without the annoying holes and tearing of regular shoes, not to mention how versatile they are.

I was reluctant because these are everywhere and I don't generally buy what's "in," but when my go-to Sorrel boots kicked the bucket and I found this pair with the adorable multi-stripe I decided to take the plunge. I wear these every day now. They are SO cute and SO comfortable and go with everything and every occasion. Full disclosure: I live in the Pacific Northwest, where outdoorsy chic is about as fancy as we get. If they weren't so expensive I'd order another pair in black for, you know, really fancy outings. As it is I do think they are worth every penny. I sized up about half a size and probably could have gotten away with my original size, but they don't feel loose or clunky and they are pretty tight on the ankles so I'm going with it.

I sent them to a cobbler to get them stretched out because I got really wide feet. I think that I am probably going to wear these boots often on for the next two years in order for me to actually break them in. Which isn’t terrible because it absolutely speaks to the craftsmanship of these boots. I just was not prepared for the work that I was going to have to put in an order to own them and wear them. 100%. I didn't do as suggested on the listing, but bought my normal size 8. This size is a smidge too short for my footbed and my big toe on my larger foot felt smooshed. So for me I probably will need to size up 1/2 a size. I have a little larger size 8 foot. Also the ankle was a little tight for me. Perhaps there's some breaking in and stretching that occurs from wearing. Nordstrom shoes salespeople have told me the shoe should feel comfortable the moment you put them on, it shouldn't need "breaking in". Returning and hoping the larger size comes back in stock.
They were the wrong size. I looked at the sole & ordered the size off of that number. Unfortunately that was not what I received. I forgot that there was a difference between UK/Aus & US/Cdn sizing.And as they were on sale there is no return out exchange.That's what I get for breaking my rule about purchasing clothing online.
Shoes look nice, but are way too tight. I have worn size 13 my entire life, in all brands. They all fit fine. Except these Blundstones. The right shoe is way too tight at the top of the foot, near the ankle joint. As they are leather, I thought they would stretch with wear, so I kept them. I've worn them. I've put a shoe stretcher in the boot. I sprayed with shoe stretcher leather spray. Still too tight. I should have just returned them during the return window. But now I'm too late. Bummer.
Have a hard time taking them off."Testing" them out at home wasn't enough to realize that they are not wide enough and now I can't return them. I did order a size bigger but still not wide enough, especially at my little toe. No information about whether it will stretch.Disappointed as I'd saved up for a year to buy them:-(
I have small feet for a man so I know Blundstones in a AUS 6 will fit perfectly. (I typically wear a size 7/7.5 for most shoes). I like the multi colour elastic on brown leather, it's got nice character. My last Blundstones lasted a decade so I forgot that these take a while to break in, but it's going to be worth it.
