I think the package got updated. For this review, a 900w microwave was used and used with milk instead of water. I like how quick and easy this is to make when you are out in the office lunchroom, or at home. I used milk with mine instead of water for creaminess. When I first made it, I wasn't following the microwave instructions and heated the cereal in a one cup bowl for 2 minutes (1 minute at a time) and it overflowed in the microwave. Still tasted good with what was left in the bowl. The second time I made it, I did 4 increments of 30 seconds and it wasn't enough. I had to closely monitor the additional 10 seconds I added. Of all the gluten-free Bob's Red Mill hot cereals, this Mighty Tasty is my favorite. I love a hearty porridge and that's how I'd best describe this cereal. It's a nice alternate to oatmeal. I don't only eat it for breakfast, but sometimes for dinner as well! The quality is outstanding and the individual grain size makes for a high-quality bowl of goodness.

If, like myself, you're coeliac or can't tolerate gluten, or if you're just straight up looking for a non-oats porridge that is wholesome, nutritious and utterly delicious, then this is the one for you! I searched for years for a gluten-free porridge alternative to oats that was healthy and palatable, and it was a relief and a revelation to find this one. I can't recommend it highly enough - enjoy!
High quality ingredients, decent size, OK taste. Resealable package is a huge benefit. Lasted very long in the freezer. We not used it only for breakfast. Serving size is decent, highly recommend to add some sweetness because the taste is not as good as the name suggests. Composition and texture are nice.
I like the concept of this product, however, to me it just tasted like dummed down grits. The corn flavor is the dominant taste. I prefer oatmeal or buckwheat cereal.
I thought I'd try this since someone mentioned it was similar to cream of wheat. I'm having my first bowl currently and it is so much better than cream of wheat. Believe me, I don't say that lightly, cream of wheat was my favorite growing up.The texture of this is perfect, the flavor is great. I came back to this page to order more and thought I'd leave a review for others.My bowl recipe: 1/4 cup cereal, 1 cup water, 1/2 banana cooked in. Then at the end add 1 Tbsp ground flax, 1/4 cup frozen wild blueberries. Top with 1 Tbsp purw maple syrup, and 2 Tbsp natural peanut butter.
As a coeliac it is hard to find tasty gluten free breakfast cereal. I have been buying this for years, it is of great quality, the ingredients are well combined to make a breakfast cereal that tastes yummy! A little goes a long way, 1/4 cup with one cup of milk is very economical per serving. The packaging is a handy stand-up pouch which is resealable. I'd recommend this product as the best breakfast cereal for coeliacs there is.
