Bobbi Brown Skin Long-Wear Weightless Foundation SPF 15 Cool Chestnut

Purchased at Macys. I’ve been on the hunt for a new foundation since the one I loved (for myself) has been reformulated. I purchased this Bobbi Brown skin long wear weightless foundation since it said it was full coverage, oil free, and long wearing. I have normal/lightly dry skin for reference. I am in my 40s - I don’t want anything to emphasize fine lines. I tried this for a month with different primers and on bare skin. This starts off as a medium coverage foundation and looks like a mask if you build it to full coverage. It’s very easy to overdo this. I typically don’t have issues with foundation breaking down around my nose and chin, this did. It was noticeably fading by the 9th hour, with the use of a primer. The color selection is very good, I think they did an excellent job with the undertones. I find this to be a decent foundation, it just didn’t wow me or live up to all of the claims.

Buyer beware - returns are a nightmare

Keep those little bitty mascaras and soothing cleansing oils ("gifts" -- yeah, ok!) in case you change your mind! BB's return policy has apparently changed and now says "Additionally, returns of items that qualified for a free promotional item(s) must be returned with the free promotional item(s)." Now, there's no guidance offered on whether the product you're returning is that product or what happens if you gave the little mascara to your sister to try. I've been using this foundation for years and I've never had a problem. They used to have a very friendly return policy if you wanted to switch your foundation shade. Unfortunately, I've spent more time in the sun this year or was always wearing a slightly-too-light shade. Fantastic foundation

Very pleased with this foundation. The liquid itself is quite thin which made a little bit go a long way, while the level of coverage was still very good. I have quite a bit of pigmentation i try to cover but didn't need to layer this product to get my desired result, as i would usually do with other brands. My skin looked and felt really good wearing this product all day, regardless if i was indoors or out, and i feel it lasted right to the end of the day without wearing off. I also really enjoyed the light scent of this foundation making it feel more like a skincare that just a foundation. The packaging was very sleek and stylish, with a very easy to use dispensing pump. The only downside was the shade, i feel it was a touch too light, so for warmer summer months ... MoreVery pleased with this foundation. Lightweight non-cakey foundation

I actually quite liked this foundation. Its not obvious Im wearing foundation which is really important to me as I hate cakey looking foundations that gets into the cracks of wrinkles. This does not do that. Its very light and liquid, and a little goes a looong way. It doesnt provide complete coverage, but is buildable, so you can add another layer if youre not happy. I stopped wearing foundation lately bc it somehow makes my pores appear worse than they are. This doesnt do that. So Im happy to take a little less coverage to avoid the strange pore amplification. The colour was great for me too. I have a strange olive, yellow complexion and the colour blended seamlessly in my skin. I would gladly buy it again. Love it!

I've tried many foundations recently and this is my favorite by far. First of all it does not oxidize! I rarely find that quality in a foundation but this is one of those rare exceptions. It's somewhere between a light to medium coverage which is perfect for me. I apply with my foundation brush before using setting powder as it leaves a slight sheen behind on my skin. Not quite dewy, but enough to warrant the powder. I got this to try in 'Warm Golden' which is almost a match for me at this time of the year when I'm at my palest. I found Natural Golden too light and Golden itself too warm. Contrary to the SA's advice I decided not to use a primer beforehand, simply moisturized and then applied foundation. Love the lightweight texture

I have been trialing this foundation for the past two weeks and while initially I was a little unsure of the matte finish, I now really love the feel and look of it on my skin. Another huge benefit for me is the SPF factor that has been formulated into this foundation. I have quite fair skin so having a light level of protection every day really suits my needs. I also really like that the foundation is quite light and thin in texture meaning that not much is required for really good coverage. Most days I have only used two pumps to cover my whole face. I have also found that it provides great coverage for my fine lines that have come with aging and also works well with any skin pigmentation changes that I have had over the past few years. As someone who doesn’t wear foundation (unless for a special occasion) I was really impressed with this formula. It felt lightweight on my skin, while still providing enough coverage - without it looking cakey or “too done”. I love makeup that enhances natural features, & this foundation does just that. It gives a perfect, even-toned base and you can build up the coverage to your preference. I applied the foundation at around 8am and it was still in place, without any creasing or caking by 7pm that night. I can see myself wearing this foundation on days when I want a bit more coverage as it felt lovely on the skin, to the point I forgot I was wearing foundation. I have tested numerous foundations and Bobbi Brown is the winner by far.This foundation is perfection, it feels so weightless and breathable on my skin leaving it feeling fresh and hydrated throughout the day. They discontinued the SPF15 skin foundation

I was only given an option to buy this or one with serum in it (which did not cover well and was closer to a tinted moisturiser). I asked the assistant for a sample and was told they don't do samples. I then asked about refunds if I didn't like it and was told no problem. However, it does not blend well and does not sit well. It doesn't cover my blemishes, looks muddy (not sure how else to describe), and turns a bit orange (I only use Bobbi brown primer before application). So I tried to return it but was told I had to either return online or in an official store or return everything I bought including the gifts.This is just not what I expect after using Bobbi brown for so many years.
