Received this as a gift. First time we used it, it was quiet. Second time, it was noisier. Third time, noisier still. Fourth time - very loud. Cannot talk over it. Don't use it until everyone is up as it will wake someone in the next room. It still ground the beans. But may need earplugs to use this.

We have other Bodum coffee products so I thought we would be in good hands with this: wrong. After our previous grinder went kaput, we bought this. First of all, the settings are way off. In selecting the pour-over setting, the coffee ends up far too fine. This density lends itself to the water not being able to drip through and it takes 3x as long to brew. Secondly, the grinder leaves you with whole beans which, again, makes the brewing process even longer. Do not recommend.

This is my first coffee grinder so I don't have a lot to compare it to. However, this was really simple to use and set up was very easy. The design is clean and attractive and the grinder locks firmly into place. The fresh ground coffee was terrific, much more full bodied than the pre-ground stuff. I can see this as a useful took for grinding my fresh dried herbs as well. The variety of sizes and coarseness settings were super helpful too.

This Bodum Bistro coffee grinder is a great addition to my at home coffee setup. I started making espresso at home but was buying preground coffee. This grinder is great and easy to use. I love the measurement settings. 3 is the perfect amount for a double shot of espresso. The grinder shuts off automatically when it’s ground to the consistency you choose. No guessing if it’s enough! It’s relatively quiet as far as grinders go. Definitely recommend!
I really like this coffee blender. It works very well. It grinds the coffee the way I like it. It makes it smell and taste so good. I also used it for some of my spices. I recommed this to all my family and friends
Very nice coffee grinder. It appears to be built very well and looks very nice. I made a couple large pots of coffee with it right away. I filled the grinder to 12 cups, screwed on the top, and turned it on! It ground the beans easily and took only about 15 seconds until it shut off automatically. It was ground very well and was consistent! I give it 4/5 stars cause it’s only flaw, is on the back of the grinder, is a lock/unlock indicator that needs to be aligned for the grinder to run. If it was on the front of the grinder, I would give it 5/5.
I love being able to grind my own coffee. It makes it taste so much better! This coffee grinder was easy for me to use and it has different settings. It’s made very well. And good quality. Have had no issues with it. And it always does a great job at grinding my coffee beans. And it can get them good and fine. Doesn’t take long at all. it’s pretty fast. There is indentations on bowl that tells your measurements so you know exactly how much beams to add. It has a lock on it and needs to be spot on in order to work. It looks good on my counter. I keep it right at my coffee stations. It’s made well and gets the job done.
We love to grind our own beans at home instead of buying already ground. This coffee grinder has been great for us. There are a few different grinding settings to meet your needs. Whether you like it ground coarse or fine, this grinder has you covered. It is nice that you can grind for 12 cups at a time, and I love the fact that it turns off automatically once it reaches the proper grind consistency. The coffee grinder itself comes apart easily to make for very easy cleaning. My only issue with the grinder is lining up the lock on the back. It is very awkward and not easy to line it up with it being in the back. Had the lock been in the front, this would easily be 5 stars!
The Bodum Bistro Adjustable Blade Grinder is a compact, easy-to-use coffee grinder that serves up freshly ground coffee in seconds. This coffee grinder includes an adjustable cup preference and grind settings from coarse to fine. I like how compact and efficient this machine is, though I do wish there was an easier way to remove the coffee grounds from the top without having to turn upside down.
This works for it's intended purpose but with a lot of flaws. Mine would only lock in one direction as the top didn't fit perfectly. There were always coffee grounds stuck to the bottom that you had to dig out. And a lot spilled out of the container with each use.
