Bodum Kenya French Press Coffee Maker - 8 Cup/1L - Black

The description said 3 cup capacity but not that this meant expresso cups, so I was hoping for more coffee rather than just enough for one larger coffee cup. OtherwIse all good - packaging very protective of a glass cafetière.

Good until it broke. Fell from the tap into the sink. Would repurchase but not this model

Coarse Ground Coffee Only

It is a very nice design and Easy to use.Be aware though, it is for Coarse Ground Coffee only. It is not written in the online description. This was annoying to find out after I received the product as I'd been given fine ground as a gift. I had to purchase different coffee to use with it.

Coffee press

Fantastic coffee percolator!! I wasn’t able to get my partners original size he had. But this made the perfect replacement, he uses it daily and love it’s. The Harvey Norman team in Bendigo VIC were amazing when I called and asked for assistants!Thank you xx

Great coffee plunger

Don't be deceived by the 3 Cup name.... I'm sure it's some coffee geek thing haha! Great coffee plunger for one person :) I'm just about to replace my broken one cos they're such great little plungers.

Great coffee, poor design

I was given this french press as a gift because I continually complained about having to buy new coffee makers. I had stayed at my daughters and used a Mr Coffee french press and marveled at how good pressed coffee tasted and the fact that nothing can go wrong, no parts to break, simply made. She could not find the same one as hers so got the Bodum Kenya instead. Seemed to be made the same, coffee tasted wonderful, no grounds even with regular ground coffee that I had on hand, I was impressed! But, after just THREE uses, the carafe came loose, turning in the metal framework when I was cleaning it. Within a week it was so loose I now have to hold the top when I pour so the carafe doesn't slide out. I will continue to use it carefully as it makes great coffee but feel my coffee maker nightmare is not over yet.

One of the best

We purchased this maker yesterday and have had wonderful coffee ever since. It's Bodum and the name alone says it all. I have tried others in the 6 years we have been using a press for coffee making. The Bodum is by far the best pot for us. I had to tighten the screws on the handle after using it a few times but that was all. We really like the plastic bottom on this model as you can put it directly on the table without fear of heat melting the table protector. All and all a great pot for the money. Great design, great tasting coffee. Overall I give this pot the highest rating of all the pots I have had. I'm thinking of getting another for when this one gets old.

Red bodum cafetiere

I'm disappointed in the quality of this item to be honest. It is flimsy to hold and does not filter the coffee very well... I keep getting bits of coffee in my cup. It is also hard to clean as the glass case falls out too easily

Ugly cafetiere

The picture of this cafetiere shows an image which seems to match perfectly with our old chipped one... small, slender and tall... but when the cafetiere turned up, it was short, wide and clumsy. We ordered this product because we don't like the current 3-cup design on bent chromium-looking feet with a domed lid. Fortunately, however, I have now found a non-Bodum look-alike replacement for our orginal 3-cup model and the Bodum 'Kenya' remains unused in its box, exactly where my husband unpacked it! Charity shop?

worked great until the glass cracked

I had bought this and in less than 90 days the glass has a crack. I can only assume that the heat from the water caused the crack over time.i have since returned the item . ALWAYS keep the boxes of items you buy until the return and warranty periods expire. you never know when it will fail and you are out your money!
