The Heat Protect Spray from BondiBoost has been specially developed to protect the hair from excessive heat. This is not unimportant, especially as most styling appliances work with high temperatures. With exclusive plant complex against hair damage You can use the spray in the morning or evening. The only important thing is that it is applied before styling. It mists the hair from the roots to the ends. This minimises structural damage caused by heat. You can now use hairdryers, straighteners and curlers more often when styling your hair. BondiBoost was developed in Australia. The spray can be applied to dry or slightly damp hair. In general, however, hot appliances should never be used on wet strands. The special thing about Heat Protect Spray is the plant complex it contains. The light formula contains quinoa extract. This is effective against split ends and other hair damage. After styling, the hair appears softer and smoother. The Heat Protect Spray is 100% vegan and comes in a handy 125 ml bottle with a pump spray head.

I've been in search of a clean heat protectant and this stuff is awesome! I've found that with my current aerosol spray, it really lingers in the air and I end up breathing in so much of it. This one does not linger in the air, which is a huge bonus. I've only tried it a couple of times so far, but it's really nice. It works really well and smells great too, but not too strong. It has a light, fresh scent. It is a very wet spray, so you just have to be careful not to spray too close to the hair, and wait a second for it to dry a bit before using a hot tool directly on the hair. I experienced hair loss recently and started using the Intensive Spray and Procapil. My hair loss increased exponentially as soon as I started using it but I continued on for a month to see if it would improve. Only got worse. A week after stopping things returned back to normal. I realize everyone is different but what bothers me is the dishonesty of this company. They have deleted my comments on their Facebook page when asking other women if they had the same experience and have deleted my reviews. That is a huge red flag to me. Seems to me if a company believes in their product they don't make a point of hiding things. At least I know here on Ulta they cannot delete my comments. I don't understand why Bondi Boost has their product reviews all meshed together in one, but this review is specifically for the Bondi Boost HEAT protectant. I just purchased my second bottle and something about this bottle is different than the first. I hate it. It's awful. It smells like windex and kind of looks like milky windex. Very odd. The first bottle I purchased back in September had mostly clear liquid inside. I even reached out to BB and they confirmed the milky purple/bluish color is normal with their modified formula. I have shoulder length platinum blonde hair, but a good 3-4 inches of my natural hair for a lived in blonde look. This makes my blonde feel waxy and almost crunchy. I've seen other reviews with others having the same issue. So, if you have color treated blonde hair I'd give this one a hard pass. I'm bummed because I love that it's free of alcohol, silicone and other harmful chemicals found in just about every heat protectant on the market.

It's a No for me - Waxy, Heavy, & Stiff Hair
29 May 2023

So I've been using this product for about a week now and I won't be using it anymore. I wanted to try this product out because of the good reviews and a lot of people recommending it to me, but sadly it didn't work for me. I've noticed that my hair has been feeling heavy and stiff ever since using this product. The reason I knew it was this product is because I've been using the same hair care products for years and I've never had my hair feeling like this. Normally with my usual products my hair feels silky and smooth, but with this product added in, it's waxy, heavy, and stiff. So I'll be going back to using my Eva NYC Mane Magic 10-in-1 Primer as my heat protectant.

I’m very impressed with this!

I’m very impressed with this! It’s the first time I’ve spent a little more on heat protecting spray and I can say it’s worth it! I’m noticing that it seems to give my hair more volume and make it look and feel fuller! I’m also using the thickening duo so together, these really compliment each other! I have noticed that my hair seems to feel a little dry when I use it but for the volume it seems to add, it’s worth it! Very, very happy!!

I purchased the Healthy Hair Starting System for thinning and aging hair. After using the product for 3 months, I actually can not tell a difference. The shampoo and conditioner do not have a pleasant smell but it did not deter me from getting the products. The results with using the shampoo and conditioner did not do anything different than other brands. The hair spray also didn’t provide any results. The hair mask was awful, it wouldn’t wash out completely. It took many washes before getting the film of my hair from the mask. It made my hair look and feel dirty. While using this product I didn’t see visible results in new hair growth, thickening or strengthening. Hair stopped shading for the first few washes but then I started shedding hair regularly. Not a fan- so bummed!
24 March 2023

I love the HG shampoo and conditioner, and the hair mask so I really thought I'd love the heat protectant.But- after several tries, this consistently did not do it for me. My ends feel so sticky and dried out, regardless of how much I spritz (I thought I was using too much, so I did a light spritz the next time I washed hair and it didn't matter). My hair also smells gross after using, so I tried lower heat, less time holding the curler, a different iron, and no matter what, it wasn't going away. And yes, I let it dry before styling. But if I use a different protectant, it didn't smell weird.I wanted so bad to love this, so I thought it was operator error, but unfortunately, it just failed to perform no matter what I changed.

Obsessed with this!!
19 October 2021

I’m beyond satisfied with this product!! Being somebody who overuses heat, I have tried more heat protectant sprays than i could count, but this one tops them all! To start off, the smell is great! Most heat protectant sprays have an overwhelming stinky smell, however this has a light tropical smell! Most sprays leave my hair sticky, stringy and overall gross and crunchy. After using Bondi Boosts, my hair has never felt better after using heat! My hair felt way softer, which has never happened before! I confidentially say I trust this product with protecting my hair with all the heat I use, and I’m so glad I found it! Never going back to my old ones. If you are looking for a solid heat protector, this should be your new go to!

Very drying, does not protect against heat
27 July 2023

It makes my hair very dry and frizzy. I tried and tried making it work by using different amounts, and it's always the same outcome: terrible.I purchased this product because I was trying to avoid or reduce silicone-based products, and it's also more budget-friendly than other options, but in my opinion it's just not worth it. And if you look at the ingredients, it makes sense because there truly isn't anything in there that would protect hair against heat imo.I rarely leave hair reviews because I tend to think that maybe it just isn't the right product for my hair type, but this one is just bad.

absolutely not!
25 September 2023

I had to write this review because I hope it helps other people not buy this heat protectant. I am a big fan of bondiboost. I love all of their products I have used so far, and I especially love how clean they are and how incredible they smell. But this heat protectant trashed my hair pretty had. I don't understand how something that is supposed to protect causes so much damage. My hair felt dry, brittle, and without any movement after using it. Wish I liked it, but it's a big no!
