Nice handy compact storage case which you don't have to remove the saw blade each and every time it's placed bock in the box so the tool is always ready to go. Very precise cutting action via the base plate guide and comfortable to hold with no noticeable vibration either. There is an ON/OFF blower at the front for a clearer view of the cutting line which is an added bonus. A great bit of kit for the money, well pleased with the purchase.

Got this a few weeks ago on offer AND with a discount from Axminster. It's my first decent ie pendulum jigsaw - can't believe the difference this makes. No more judder and much less vibration than my old B&D. Who said you get what you pay for?

Better than my old Bosch jig saw with superior speed control and a smoother blade action. As usual I dont like the stiff plastic mains cable which is not flexible enough and always too short. Only time will tell with regards to the SDS bade fixing but seems to work fine and is a lot more convienent than the previous system where a screwdriver was required. Overall a very good product.

I bought this for me!!! being female I wanted something that was easy to use and clean.I was recommend to Bosch for tools by a friend who is a professional Joiner and he said for someone like myself this would be great!!Really comfortable to hold when in use, storage case to protect an store when not in use. Leaflet tells you about the blower, attachements etc., All easy to use.Very easy to change blades, guidance tool is great for following a straight line. Doesn't veer off when using.Easy to cleanI'm really happy with it!!Cannot wait to do more D.I.Y!!
Used several times for kitchen and vanity basin insert, good clean straight cut. Like the variable speed action especially at the start and end of cuts, feel more in control. Not used all the features and attachments yet hence the 4 star rating. Like the the spare blade compartment, I'm always misplacing my blades so I personally think this is a good simple idea. I have seen some reviews mention that the blade lock/unlock feature is a bit awkward to use but I have not found this a problem. All in all a good a quality jigsaw and if the purchase price is right then even better..

If I am being ultra picky, I can only find a couple of small niggles - It would help if it had a laser (although not a major problem) and there is a small plastic cap on the front which makes it a little hard to see the cut line (that's where the laser would help) - This cover is easily removed and can be replaced easily too. The blades are spring locked making it very easy to change, no need for allan keys or a screwdriver. It cuts like a dream, no deviation from the cut (it has a very handy marking arrow pointing to the cut line), hardly any vibration and what I love most is that it has such fantastic control over ...Β MoreA fantastic piece of kit. Nice tool spoilt by a stupid positioned hook blocking your view of the cutting edge. Can be cut off to get rid of it or by unscrewing the case screw and removing it. Steel base platform was poorly finished and badly marked the Timber face even after using tape to protect it. I filed and rubbed down the offending sharp edges. The blower really is a gimmick it dies very little when cutting deep sheet materials where large amounts of swarf is being produced. But the tool cut well was easy to control and more importantly it cut square once set up and screwed securely. Really weird use of a cheese head screw with a chisel groove and not a hex head set screw of allen head. Overall not bad for a plastic DIY tool.
After reading many reviews on different jigsaws, the Bosch PST 800 came out on top for me. Female 54 and loving my new found hobby with wood. This jigsaw is a brilliant tool and easy to use. Very light and well made. Saws through 6" x 2" in seconds with a clean cut with the blade that was provided. And the long cable is an advantage. The storage case is handy and quite tough. It easily stores the pack of 10 Bosch blades that I purchased seperately. Overall, an excellent tool that I'm more than 100% happy with and I highly recommend.
I bought this to replace a cheap non brand one I bought years ago, the extra cost for the low vibration and speed settings is definitely worth it, i can make straight cuts easily and the vibration is very minimal, compared to my last jigsaw, which was like trying to cut wood with a jackhammer!There is a switch to help blow sawdust backwards away from the blade which is a nice feature, can you can attach a vacuum hose to the end should you wish to do so.comes with fairly sturdy carry case, and worth registering on Bosch's website for the 3 year warranty
this replaced my old bosch700. First use took a bit of getting used to, as blade is further back due to front guide. this guide really improves straightness of cut and splinter gizmo really works. also useful blade store on-board.all in all an absolute bargain at the price
