Build quality is good overall. The only minor problem was that our oven was delivered with a damaged top oven light globe (halogen). However, Bosch sent a replacement through extremely quickly under warranty. The oven heats evenly and quickly, cooks extremely well and is easy to use (the user guide is thorough). It is also relatively easy to keep clean. The main practical difficulty is that, behind what looks to be a reasonably sized top over door, the compartment is very low in height (17cm); this means you have to plan your dishes very carefully in order to fit things in. Supply of a third wire rack would also have been useful.

Have had our new oven a little over 2 years now and it's been great. It's so efficient, I usually have to decrease the time I cook things for or they are overdone! Quicker cooking just means we eat faster! No complaints about the oven - I love that you can cook in both ovens as well (the top oven is not just a grill or warmer) so we can do quicke or pie in one oven and the chips on a different temperature in the other. Love my oven!

We have just installed this oven and completed the heating and cleaning instructions, followed by a perfect batch of evenly cooked muffins. Such a relief to have a sleek and reliable German made appliance, which we have longed for! We love the environmental elements to the design and the power saving tips also. We only wish it came with more than two grill trays - we always need more than this and had to order some separately.
Just what we were after. Sturdy and sleek ai am certain we will have many many years of enjoyable cooking experiences. The cleaning is as easy as a quick wipe after use, heating is super rapid, cooking is even - even temperature no matter which side of the rack the food is on. Couldn't be happier 😊
Absolutely the easiest oven to use. Many cooking options & lots of cooking space. Heats up quick and also has rapid heat setting too. Push in controls when not in use are great to see at a glance that all is turned off. Top oven excellent when cooking a snack. Excellent to have a double oven for use preparing multiple foods requiring different cooking settings. We are Super Impressed and I regularly cook for an adult family of 5.
I love this oven. Simple to use. The top oven has been used from warming plates, pizza, muffins, loaf cake, potato gratin etc, anything in a low height dish. All turned out perfect. Warms up really quickly. Very happy with my choice in a new home. I deducted a point because a warning is not sounded when the oven has reached the set temp and a rack could have come with it.
We decided to up grade our oven after the original one started to fail. Opting for the Bosch double oven was the best choice for our layout. Having the larger oven at the bottom for the kids to use was a key selection item. This item is easy to use, symbols area self explanatory with even heat for cooking. We also added extra racks along with the roller tracks to make bigger cooks (biscuits) even better.
Because I have a 40yo Bosch drill, I've always associated Bosch with Quality, Reliablity and Durability, so when it came to replacing our 20yo St. George Oven/Grill naturally I thought "Bosch". BUT, as with many new products, there were a few surprises! 1st, I was pleasantly surprised how easy it was to install in the cavity of our old unit. 2nd I liked the recessed knobs, as it's easy to clean the control panel. 3rd I liked how "rapidly" it heated up (5min to 180C), that a frozen meat pie, after defrosting in mwave, would be ready in 15mins! BUT, I couldn't believe that the "grill tray" was no longer provided with this version (/01). AND it took me 1hr to figure out how to remove the oven doors for cleaning because the manual's pic was inaccurate and YT videos even worse! My biggest concern was the hot air it pushed out the front of the oven and continues to do so when turned off until cooled. I was worried that the air intake was from the back of the oven (sucking in "dirty" air) but was assured by Bosch that it didn't. On closer inspection the air comes from an inlet inside the door (at the top), it flows through the oven door glass and is sucked in at the bottom of each door. Bosch should explain how this works as other manufacturers say it "provides flow through oven door cooling"... which is an important feature (that's why the glass stays cool). Finally when I mentioned that the Bosch website says that the grill tray is included, they sent me a "free" one. After all even the cheapest double oven provides a "grill insert" and some provide "telescopic rails" for this price... something I've had to order separately from Bosch. Anyway full points to AOL and Bosch for the service they provide and "if" this Bosch double oven lasts as long as our old unit it will work out at a mere $80 per year!

I am very pleased with this purchase. The quick heat up function is great and having the second smaller oven is useful (even if it doesn't have fan assist). I like the black finish - it is much easier to keep clean that stainless steel. It is important to stand to the side if you have to open the oven during cooking as steam comes out at face level when you open the door (just for a second or two), but I do like having the little oven at the top all the same. I agree with other reviewers that the timer bell could be louder. I don't hear it if I have the radio on in the kitchen.
