Sleek looking hob to replace a 25-year old unit where one of the rings had failed. Existing cut-out perfect size and the new Bosch spring-clip fixing holds it firmly in place.Easy to keep clean with the black glass surface.Responsive halogen heats up quickly, much faster than older unit.Highly recommended for a non-induction hob so you can use your old pans.

After using LPG gas for years as I live out in the sticks I decided it was time to change my 14 year old gas hob and decided on this one. It looks so neat and tidy and cleans easily. I use a ceramic hob cream which I get I my supermarket. Comes up really shiny! It's instant heat and very responsive and cooks very fast! Needless to say I'm on a learning curve cooking on this hob after gas but I absolutely love it and the lights let me know that the hob plates are still hot after using and switching off. All in all I highly recommend to anyone. It was delivered earlier than expected which was a nice surprise and installed quite easily. So glad I purchased this.

Instead of buying a touch-screen hob, we chose to buy one with actual knobs that can be turned and which can control the heat easily. We did this as one of us is partially sighted and a flat-top, touch-only hob means that cooking controls cannot be seen easily which can be dangerous. Also the knobs are easy to use when you have less dexterity in your fingers! We'd hoped to find a similar Neff hob as we'd had one before, but this Bosch is perfect and performs as well as our old Neff one did and has a better energy efficiency rating. All-in-all a really super product & it was competitively priced on the John Lewis website. Delivery was also very good.

I love my electric hob. First time cooking with electric and I love it. Easy to use. Responds quickly and is super easy to keep clean. This appliance is like all my other Bosch appliances, easy to use, easy to maintain and super reliable. I have had a Bosch washing machine and a tumble dryer for 16 years and they're still working like new. Now all my appliances are Bosch. Is there another make??!!
I purchased this hob to replace an induction hob with touch controls. At 94 I could not get on with it at all. This new hob is perfect for me, I can see when the hob is on as it lights up and I am no longer accidentally pushing buttons and putting on the child lock. Perfect addition to my kitchen. Thankyou Bosch
From having a Bosch induction hob in my previous home to this in a new build I'm underwhelmed. Hob takes ages to get going, the glass marks VERY easily, scratched, scorched already and looks twice the age it is. The knobs turn on far too to easily- it makes it difficult to clean and I've turned the hob on accidentally far too many times now. No beeps or anything like my old Bosch hob to warn you. Hob plates take a very long time to cool down as well. Looks tatty, poor performance. Avoid. We are looking for a new one.
We've had electric hobs and were looking for another one to replace a gas hob. Having had a poor experience with touch operation hob in the past, we wanted one with physical controls. This one ticked all the boxes: Control knobs, easy to understand and use, heats up really quickly, is easy to clean and looks great.Enough said?
To start off with I will advise this came with my new build so I wasn't able to specify the job itself but will shortly be removing it and replacing with an induction for the following reasons:The hob takes a long time to heat up and cool down. When I say a long time, although I've never gone to the lengths of timing it, it does feel like it takes at least twice as long to bring a pan of water and rice to the boil as say my parents induction (not a particularly fancy one but seemingly much more powerful).Considering it's glass it seems really quite hard to clean, even when spending good money on Bosch's recommended products and the controls make it very difficult to clean. The rings for the pans seem small, think I have a pretty average pan set but quite a few ... MoreTo start off with I will advise this came with my new build so I wasn't able to specify the job itself but will shortly be removing it and replacing with an induction for the following reasons:The hob takes a long time to heat up and cool down. Bought this to replace an older hob of a different make, when having a new kitchen fitted. It looks very smart and modern, and works very well. Rings heat up fast and are very controllable. I find it a bit difficult tosee immediately which knob belongs to which ring, since the markings on the hob are fairly small, but no doubt I will become more familiar with it.
