Each different cycle does exactly as it should. The time isn't always accurate but the sensor will kick in and finish it when it should. For instance, we had a load of washing still damp. Put it in for the 40 minutes and it only took 10 - it did take a whole to adjust the timer but sure enough it said 5 minutes left and it was done! The best improvement has been sheets and towels. Flint liner is easy to clean... Machine easy to understand and read. Honestly the best investment for dearer appliances we have made! Glad we chose this over use the condenser dryer. This will last us years and the clothes a good many more years now!!!

I'm still working out the finer details of all the settings that come with this dryer, but so far, this machine has been amazing! Some pros and cons for you:Pros- It dries very well (as long as you don't overfill the machine like so many negative nellies in these reviews). Sometimes, thicker parts of bedding can retain a small amount of moisture e.g. double hem sections, but it's very minimal and not an issue.- Quiet: It makes nowhere near as much noise as my old conventional dryer- Zero moisture externally: this machine is perfect for those looking to reduce any room/house moisture that is often a problem with conventional dryers. This releases NO moisture at all into the room/air which is a game-changer, especially in winter.- A plethora of functions: The ... MoreI'm still working out the finer details of all the settings that come with this dryer, but so far, this machine has been amazing! Some pros and cons for you:Pros- It dries very well (as long as you don't overfill the machine like so many negative nellies in these reviews). This releases NO moisture at all into the room/air which is a game-changer, especially in winter.- A plethora of functions: The machine has a lot of functions for different types of clothing/materials and combines well with easy iron functions.- Size is great: Even though this machine is has a 9kg capacity, its form factor is smaller than other brands reflecting on Bosch's attention to design and efficiency. This is really important for smaller apartments and European laundries such as mine.- Plumbed in option: You can easily empty the water after each load, or plumb it in so it takes care of the water for you. I haven't plumbed this in yet, but it's a great option to have, unlike other models/brands I researched before buying.- Drying time: This is something that shocked me after reading some other negative reviews. Although the timer often states 2-3 hours for a larger load on occasions, it's often done much much sooner, and the contents are completely dry.Cons:- Not wall mountable: Due to its weight, it can't be wall-mounted like a conventional dryer. Stacking is a better option.- The water drawer is at the top left of the dryer. If stacking with a washer and high up, you might have difficulty reaching to pull the water drawer out.Cannot be happier with this machine! Given the higher price point compared to other dryer types, it's definitely worth making the jump if the pocket allows you.

I needed to upgrade my washer and dryer for a new house, and I spent countless hours researching, talking to everyone I know and reading online reviews. My previous dryer was a commercial - so huge load, high heat, very fast. But not practical for my new place. So I was in search of something that fit our family with kids, needed to dry our laundry FAST and efficiently. At first I was soo skeptical about heat pump dryers - they took way longer to dry, apparently. So I purchased my top load washer (10kg) and a matching fp dryer that the retail store told me matched. After one day of laundry (1 washing load took THREE drying loads - over 7 hours total!!!!!) I sent that dryer straight back. So I purchased my top load washer (10kg) and a matching fp dryer that the retail store told me matched. After one day of laundry (1 washing load took THREE drying loads - over 7 hours total!!!!!) I sent that dryer straight back. I was going to bite the bullet and purchase the SQ commercial, but once I talked to the sales from SQ they talked me out of it - it’d take over an hour and a half on a 10 amp connection. The SQ was double the prices and had a energy rating of 1 Star.So I finally ordered this dryer at the recommendation of so many people. And boy was I wrong about condensing dryers - this one is AMAZING!!!!A huge load of clothes dries within an hour on cottons setting. It doesn’t shrink. Clothes come out smelling fresh and not dried to a crisp/crunchy. They actually make the fabric feel soft. (I don’t even use dryer sheets). You must read the instructions to figure out the settings because not all take the 9kg capacity. This is plenty big enough for my washing loads, and if I had a smaller machine it’d be great to dry 2 wash loads at a time so they come out warm and fresh for folding together. The condenser takes out SO much water, I was surprised but it seems to work excellently. So far I’m nothing but IMPRESSED with this dryer. It compares in time and size to my commercial, but I know it’s using way less power. Plus caring for my clothes excellently. The sensor works perfectly every time to stop the load when the clothes are as dry as you’ve set that you want them. Sometimes drying a few things will take only 20 minutes. The time guide it starts with is not really indicative of how long the load will take - for example cottons says it’ll be 3:00 when you start it but it drops as the clothes get drier and always ends up being around the 1 hour mark with a FULL load.I love the setting to keep it sporadically tumbling to reduce wrinkles until I can get the clothes out.I actually just love EVERYTHING about this machine - I’m so picky about my laundry appliances because there is nothing worse than systems that make more work than laundry for a big family already is. I highly recommend this dryer. It is quality and makes laundry easier. As does Appliances Online - excellent customer service, great prices and the best delivery and installation service! The Gold Coast guys are very professional and take excellent care in delivering appliances.
I purchased this dryer a couple of years ago with a matching Bosch Washer. The washer was great but the dryer never dried the clothes properly. Within 2 years the bearings were replaced and it was serviced all under warranty. It was like a different machine. Dried clothes really well a shame it wasn't like this from the beginning.
I bought this dryer to match my Bosch Serie 8 washing machine. Together they look very professional which was the look i was after. Unfortunately this did not last long as after the second load everything came out extremely wet. The sensor which feels that the clothes on the outside of the wash are dry rather than sensors that all the wash is dry, so it stops the cycle thinking that everything is dry which is not the case. I then have to put it all through the cotton cycle again which is a waste of time and power. The matter only got worse when i went to dry our queen sheets and super king donna cover separately. The result was that they came out wet and that they constantly curled up in a ball which required constant stopping and unravelling to get them dry. The result was that they came out wet and that they constantly curled up in a ball which required constant stopping and unravelling to get them dry. This was due to the dryer only going in one direction, which had there been a cycle to rotate in both ways for either the towel or the sheet option then these items may have come out dry and this constant stop, unravelling and restarting would not be an issue, it may also help with the sensor being able to sense all the wash is dry rather than than the top layer.I will soon have to replace this with dryer with one that does have a cycle which rotates in both directions, such as Miele as this has been a very expensive mistake to make.
First of all, just wanted to mention that AO have excellent customer service. I honestly think brick and mortar stores shouldn't be surprised more people are flocking to online retailers for things traditionally purchased in-store (eg. whitegoods). The team went above and beyond and tried their hardest to get this dryer out to me ASAP.The dryer itself is great; I already have a Bosch front loader which I'm happy with. I like that even after the time is up, the drum tumbles periodically so it continues to move the clothes slightly (in case they are not quite dry?)The drum is huge which is great as we have a lot of laundry (2 adults, 2 young children). Excellent for drying children's clothes especially during the winter. I've never owned a dryer prior to this so I'm really happy with this purchase. Easy installation (no fan, no venting etc. needed). The condenser is self cleaning so I just empty the lint container every cycleInstallation/delivery team were also excellent! Can't fault AO :) I would purchase again from them.
Avoid! "Self-cleansing condenser" is not going to self-clean effectively after 2.5 years (just over the 2-year warranty) as it will accumulate enough fluff to block the airflow eventually with moisture not getting out off the drum. To worsen the matter, you can't even take the cover off to do some manual cleaning / vacuuming.Terrible after sales service which Bosch AU sub to a small local appliance fix company which could not fix (because nothing has been broken, just "self-cleansing condenser" design flaw) so they handball back to Bosch asking us to call Bosch again but still charge us $179 call-out fee for doing nothing.Spent on big bucks $1500 initially thinking we will get a piece of mind with "made in germany" branding - and here we go, throwing this to the ... MoreAvoid! This dryer isn't for people who just want to press a go button and have their stuff bone dry. The dryer is gentle in its drying and requires somewhat of a smart operator. Some of the reviews I read prior to purchasing stated the dryer doesn't dry, all I can say to that is the people are morons. Learn how to use it. It isn't a traditional dryer, it works a completely different way and the result is different.Key things to note:The dryer only rotates one way. You can connect a hose so the water goes down the drain but if you have house plants they can definitely use the water with no ill effects. The bonus of this is the water doesn't get evaporated from the clothes and turn your laundry into a humid microclimate of home ruining moisture. It has a light inside.I use Bosch tools, the quality is there with their appliances also.
I have been using this drying for 1 year and 1 month. I absolutely hate it. Nothing dries on any setting without at least 2 more cycles on the 20min warm setting. It also turns sheets and doona covers into a tight ball within 2.5minutes. So every 2.5 minutes I have to pause the cycle, untangle the tightly woven ball of sheet and restart it. It would be faster if I ran up and down the street with the sheet flying behind me like a kite! I rang Bosch and was told to fold the sheet first (and yes it has to go in 1 sheet at a time). Folding the sheet chnaged nothing. I will be asking for a refund or throwing it away.
