Bose Companion 2 Series II Multimedia Speaker System

These speakers are great for computer use. I own the generation before this and I'm very pleased with those so I purchased these newer ones and they sound better to me. Recently bought a new iMac and the speakers on that just don't cut it. These speakers do indeed pack a punch with them and sound awesome. It is honestly a huge improvement. Sound is clear and mids and bass are perfect. You can crank these up a bit high without any distortion. I'm not sure if these speakers have an auto-standby mode but immediately after pausing music, you can hear a slight hissing but after some time without use they become dead silent like

I love these Bose Companion 2 Series Speakers. I have had these speakers for over 10 years. They have great sound quality and durability. Music sounds fantastic out of these. These are the best speakers I have ever owned.

I have had these Bose Companion Multimedia Speakers for 12 years. They have exceptional sound. My music sounds great out of these speakers. They are compatible with my laptop, iPad and phone. These are worth the money. Highly recommend.

The equalizer's digital processing seems to introduce a little lag between the sound and the movement of lips when playing some videos. Perhaps I'll find a way to solve this issue later, but it's not a major problem. Classical music sounds really good, even if it can't possibly match my 100 Watt per channel amplifier and large, heavy speakers

The design is sleek and minimalistic. They look great on my desk, and the volume control is convenient. Bose quality shines through. I've had these for over 2 years, and they're still going strong. Bose reliability is a huge plus. If you want quality sound from compact speakers, these are a solid choice.

Forget Anything From Creative, these beat them all easily. These speakers for their size are outstanding, have such crisp clarity and fantastic punch, their amps have a built in DSP to stop distortion, best pc speakers ive ever heard or owned EVER Built like tanks with good weight and build quality, the headphone amp built into the speakers is A1 quality, these are tier 1 speakers better than anything else i have heard, the sound is very detailed with sizzling highs, they can be connected to two devices at once for monitoring phone alerts for example, or connecting up to a second pc or media player. Stereo imaging is perfect, they sound like speakers over twice their size, these sound better than my monitor audio bronze bookshelf hifi speakers, thats how good they are, and those have a 5.25" driver and dedicated tweeter as well, and all is said these bose speakers still have better highs. These are really good little speakers, just buy them if you get the chance. 10/10 from me.

Great cheap Bose computer speakers

Great sound and connects to my Windows XP with ease. I connected to earphone jack. Does not work with sound card but it works so well with earphone that it is just fine. I have an external CD ROM as this Dell from 2005 two CD Drives stopped working years ago--and they are not replacable. External CD drive came from Best Buy and was $50. Pairs perfectly with these speakers.. External CD drivet is an LG code SP8ONB80. Very pleased and other sound from a few old CD's also works. Speakers arrived in perfect condition. A lot cheaper speaker but works great for my needs.

Great sounding 2-speaker system!

In my experience many Bose products are overpriced and over-rated. These speakers are the exception. My goal was to find a 2-speaker system for my desk computer (no sub-woofer to complicate things). Most of the time I am listening to news on YouTube, or background smooth jazz. These sounds great, excellent mid-range perfect for speech. Bright enough and just enough "low" considering their size. Plenty loud for a desk environment. Volume/on-off knob is smooth and well positioned on one speaker. Each speaker has a nice weight to it. I chose these series II over the newer series III due to the look of these (silver) as well as comparison reviews. That Great Bose Sound

The Bose Companion Two, Series II multimedia speakers have that great sound that you expect from Bose. They have excellent sound quality with the usual Bose ability to delivery great stereo seperation, clean percussion presence (drums cymbals, etc.) and nice bass for the size of these speakers.
