My purchased for my husband who travels for business…. Way better than lugging around huge headphones. Easy to store, lightweight. Great sound. Helps him with noise cancelling while flying. He can get work done, watch a movie or whatever. We replaced them when he left/lost his pair without hesitation because they are great! Good carrying case. Very comfortable in ears.

I bought these headphones 4 years ago. I've used them for multiple travels and used them at home on a regular. The other day, I thought about testing my products batteries because of curiosity. I played music at the 2 notches below maximum volume (don't want to blow speakers) and ran it for as long as possible. I got 17 hours and 34 minutes. After 4 years. I understand that this product is not cheap, but the all sources say "up to 16 hours". After 4 years of usage, I was able to get this product to last 17 hours and 34 minutes. Probably not, Bose tune headphones for the general public, they're not meant for music production.Durability : These are corded and should be treated as such, I work in quite controlled professional environments so I don't really run into durability problems with any of my products but I would not recommend taking this to the gym.Comfort : The design is good, it does not fall out of my ears, and it's very compact so you don't have a lug a small box around with you unlike headphones.Value : Although expensive, I have chosen to use these QC20's over my noise cancelling headphones because it does almost the same job and with great sound. This product is probably the greatest investment I've ever made to my travelling gear arsenal.

These are beyond ideal for the frequent traveler, especially for air and road travel. You will notice the noise reduction immediately. This is evident when you switch on and off the "aware mode" mid-flight. That apparent loud hum is completely neutralized to near silence.Noise cancelling technology is not yet perfect, as of 2018. There are areas for improvement. These earphones are not capable of drowning every sound around you to silence. Every sound around you, from the crying infant one row ahead to the sporadic street noise outside your apartment window will be drowned to silence. We can only imagine and eagerly await that future!These earphones are incredible and I can identify few flaws. While durability is of some concern, this can be addressed by a good warranty. If there is anything more immediate that I would suggest in terms of improvement, it would be to develop a set of noise cancelling earphones exactly like these, but with Bluetooth capability enabled. This is so that an iPhone 7+ user will be able to listen to music without an auxiliary adapter. My recommendation is to simply put out a version of these without the headphone jack (or with a removable headphone jack) and have it such that the necessary Bluetooth features are installed within the main capsule.I cannot recommend this product highly enough.

Better than I expected

The sound from Bose products in my view can't be surpassed. I fly a lot and needed the noise cancelling earphones to cancel out the jet noise. In this respect whilst hooked up to my iPod they worked superbly. The earphones were supplied with a jack that fitted a seat socket and came with a charging cable a carrying pouch. Everything thing was in excellent condition and the purchase surpassed my expectations.

Don't believe they are authentic Bose headphones

I have owned 3 sets of these Bose headphones in the past. I have always felt they were 5 star. Bose no longer manufactures and/or repairs these Quiet Comfort QC20 headphones. I was happy they were available on EBay. However, they work but I do not believe they are authentic. The battery only last about 7 hours. My previouss ones, bought directly from Bose, last about 18 hours with noise cancelling on. Also, the sound quality is not as good as my original ones. But, the priice was OK and I now have wired headphones that are pretty good.

I wish they would indicate such condition clearly when customers make purchases (I checked their return policy after declination of my return request, and saw they do state in the policy that open headsets are not returnable); the product was wrapped in a thin plastic wrapping when I received it. So if you open the outer plastic wrapping to try the product, whether you like it or not, It cannot be returned.To sum it up, similar good quality of noise-cancelling but the poorer fitting of tips to ear compared to the previous version and the customer service.

Long airline rides to and from Asia and Europe are transformed into pleasant soundscapes that by the top-notch noise cancelling technology in these headphones. They have been one of the best investments for entertainment I have ever made. I have used them for running for the past 5 years, and they have never missed a beat. The earbud cases came apart in 2017, but I just glued them back together and I haven't had an issue since. To avoid that problem, always remove the buds by grabbing them from in your ears, rather than tugging on the cord. It has taken this long (as of June 2020) for the battery to show any signs of age by not lasting quite as long as it used to. They are finally one their last legs, however, because the connection to the battery case and the cord to the earbuds has gone through too much pinching and bending over the 1000+ hours it has spent in my pocket. I have started to notice that the audio cuts out if it is not in the exact right position to complete the circuit over the worn out wires. If it weren't for that reason, these earbuds would last another year at least, until the battery would succumb to the fate faced by all batteries. Everyone should purchase Bose audio equipment. I will purchase another soon.

best wired noise cancelling earbuds.

these are the best wired noise canceling earbuds I've ever had. they don't last forever so replace them when I need to. I can't find anything better. I like them better than wireless earbuds ( I have a few) because the wireless buds keep changing tracks, stopping etc accidentally and that's annoying and time consuming to fix. I have to use wireless buds on my phone since it doesn't have a earbud jack, I wish it did.

Rather I am concerned the product is susceptible to some kind of ground loop interference when used with powered devices.I had the first version of the QC20i with the gray accents, however it malfunctioned after 3 years, developing a static in the left earbud. Bose was kind enough to replace for a reduced price despite the product being out of warranty. However, I have now had two replacements both of which have a potential design flaw. When the noise cancelling feature is used with a computer that is plugged in (for example a laptop that happens to be charging) an annoying ground loop buzz occurs at a frequency of about 60hz). Worth noting is that the problem does not occur when used with a laptop operating off battery power alone, or when the headphones are used with a phone.The first QC20i version I had previously did not have this issue. I don't believe this is an isolated issue and have read reviews that others have experienced the same problem. Yes, Bose noise cancelling technology is fantastic when it works properly, but the inability to use this feature with a computer that is plugged in or has an external monitor hooked up leads me to hypothesize that the product suffers from some kind of design flaw. I tried the headphones with multiple laptops and computers to accurately troubleshoot the problem and rule out the potential for the audio output source being the issue rather than the headphones themselves; the problem occurs across multiple devices. I went so far a to purchase a ground loop isolator to see if that would fix the problem, which it did not. Perhaps the two replacements I received are just from the same faulty batch? or perhaps there is a deeper underlying engineering problem. For anyone experiencing a similar problem, perhaps the newer bluetooth models are a better choice.
