Phones sound great to me. My main love affair comes from the noise-cancelling, which helps me so much in dealing with this noisy world. I wear them for noisy stuff that I do, like running the blender, or leaf-blowing, and I also wear them to help muffle the neighbor's super loud kids, lawnmowers down the street, the highway traffic noise nearby, etc. Really a great piece of kit. On my walks, it help create a nice quiet bubble to enjoy my tunes in. I even bought a 2nd pair as a backup in case my 1st ones get messed up, or discontinued. I can't imagine flying on a plane without them; the 25's make the airplane noise so much less stressful. And yes, I do have sensitive ears, so these phones really help me out. Lastly, I feel the quality is high, they are super comfortable and they look really nice. Thus, I'm very satisfied with mine! And no, I don't work for Bose. Lucky for us, some products in this world are indeed actually great! To quieter world... cheers.

For start the name matches the product it is very comfortable and - when you switch the magic button - very quiet. I'm wearing this headset for over two years now and it is worth every penny. If you have a snoaring housband or wife, put them on and the only thing you will notice is the materace vibration. Loud bus - not anymore! Loud airliner - not for me - click and it's gone. The Noise cancellation was a jaw-dropping experience when I tried it for a first time, unfortunately it's not good enough for a loud toddler, but low and medium frequencies are reduced to ashes. However all this goods for a price - base and medium tones are bit too high when active noise cancelling (NC from now on) is OFF but lowered unpresidentially when ON. You can of course correct it ... MoreFor start the name matches the product it is very comfortable and - when you switch the magic button - very quiet. You can of course correct it within EQ - no problems, but you have to change it over and over again. The diode signaling that NC is ON is bit too faint and if you forget to turn off - it will drain most of the battery overnight - so many AAA batteries died from the young age... The cable is a brilliant design because it can be replaced - but way too often - 4 till now is my count and it should be supplied with two cables actually because it is too long for mobile phone and too short for laptop. I bet you figured out the extension and good for you,but you may trip now and then. For PC however it's the best set of headphones I ever had. You don't need to have a battery in to just listen to the music and it's great. But lack of high frequencies without NC caused few of my videos to be noisy as it didn't give me those HFreq's. As technology developing and wireless headphones are what you looking for in a crowded bus or plane - for indoor chillout - that's my pick. For serious job or for an audiofile - look at the higher shelf. For chillout, loud neighbor or snoring suppression - I highly recommend it.

Moving up from a cheap pair of noise cancelling headphones, its a nice change to put these Bose headphones on. I am in a noisy environment several days a week and its nice to put these headphones on, click the power switch and have the world disappear. The sound quality is very good, but not the best I have ever heard for a set of headphones but what they lack in sound quality they more than make up for in noise reduction. The price was good as well coming in at well below the price they sold new for. The ones I bought were new but open box. Everything was included except the factory box. Overall a great investment and with the addition of a Bluetooth adapter movement is not restricted. I have tried to post this review in the past but couldn't and lost what I had written. I have been using Bose QC headphones for about 7 years. First the QC15, and then the QC25. I actually love them. They're fantastic and I use them both professionally and recreationally - particularly when flying. However there is one major flaw, which is something Bose must be aware of and I have long hoped they would have rectified. The replaceable ‘ear cushions’. They generally break down after about 6 months and ive lost count of how many sets i have bought over the years - more than 10 sets for sure. First the fake leather type rubber material breaks down until your ears and face are covered in black bits whenever you use them and then the seams break inside the ear cushions ... MoreI have tried to post this review in the past but couldn't and lost what I had written. First the fake leather type rubber material breaks down until your ears and face are covered in black bits whenever you use them and then the seams break inside the ear cushions exposing the foam inside. I live in asia and every year when I visit home (the UK), I have to visit the Bose shop to stock up on replacement ear cushions! I bring home at least 2 sets and they’re not cheap. I suspect that I am more susceptible to these malfunctions due to the tropical climate, however I bought my QC15’s here in Bangkok and its simply unacceptable that such expensive, high-end products can perform so badly over so many years and not be addressed and rectified with a new improved ‘quality’, durable cushions. Unless I am extremely unlucky and the only person to experience this problem time and time again - I can only assume that this is a known issue and the selling of replacement ear cushions simply a welcomed extra revenue stream for Bose. I have tried to add photos to this review however I cannot.
I bought these because I've been going slowly insane because of living next to hideously attrocious traffic for 9 years. My rent is cheaper than most do I decided it would be more cost effective to try these days instead of moving. Boy, am I glad I finally got these! Now, they don't completely drown out the most outrageous sounds, but they do deafen them enough to where your body doesn't jump out of it's skin and you're not temped to put up trio wire or lay explosives for the next offender. These have made a big difference in my stress levels (I also live right next to the freeway) and I find myself happier and at peace. I think it helps drown out the neighbors dog too. So my recommendation is: don't get even...get a Bose! Even if you don't feel like wearing them all day, you'll have the comfort of knowing that you can when you really need to..and money just can't buy that. (Doesn't drown out loud voices/yelling though....you'll have to get a paint gun for that).
I've been a loyal -and happy- Bose customer for around 12 years now, however, over the last few years I have noticed a very serious decline in quality and durability of Bose's wired headphones (namely the QC range). The reason for this review is because the cord connecting my phone to my headphones has now stopped working properly and I only purchased my QC25's a little over a year ago now (around March or April 2018). Having noticed the padding around ear cups starting to flake off after the first 7 or 8 months I thought that was much sooner than it used to be, but I knew this was to be expected as I have owned several sets of Bose's headphones in the past and thought it was a shame but there's not much I could do other than continue to take as best care of them ... MoreI've been a loyal -and happy- Bose customer for around 12 years now, however, over the last few years I have noticed a very serious decline in quality and durability of Bose's wired headphones (namely the QC range). The reason for this review is because the cord connecting my phone to my headphones has now stopped working properly and I only purchased my QC25's a little over a year ago now (around March or April 2018). No wonder the quality and durability has gone down. I might as well waste my money on Beats by Dre! I wasted just under $400 on headphones that barely held together for 12-months only to be told that they're now out of warranty and then tried to sell me inferior wireless headphones for more than the wired ones... What a joke! Why on earth did you sell-out Bose? It's next to impossible to find a store that stocks spare parts (ear cushions, cords etc...), parts that one would expect not to have to worry about replacing within the first 12-months! We'll see how this is handled before I can confirm that you've lost yourself someone who has not considered any other brand and was extremely happy. What a shame.Ps: yes my name is real.
I received these as a Christmas gift, even though I already had several Bose headphones as well as Klipsch, Beats, and others. My sister, wife, and kids don't know what else to buy me in the entertainment area. These are beautiful headphones with great sound...and...I would personally buy these over the newer wireless Bose QC35 model. First, these are less money. The QC35 model has a non-replaceable battery that goes 20 hours when new, but declines with age. The extra expense of a new battery is a negative when the QC35 battery has to be replaced. If you are on a flight, and the rechargeable battery fails especially as it gets older, you have to wait or carry a battery charger with you, though you can listen to them wired. The QC25s simply can have the AAA battery replaced by you; or, you can listen without NC on either of these. I find the quality of the wired headphones more reliable and bit better, with no drop offs because of distance with the wireless, but some people can't deal with wires very well, or sometimes pull on them and break them, so the QC35s would work better. But I am careful with my items. Having used both the wireless QC35s and these QC25s, I find these much, much more convenient to use, service, and enjoy. I also like the convenience of taking 30 seconds to change a battery versus several hours to recharge the QC35s.

But it was a hassle to reassemble at home -- needed a magnifier dexterity and good lighting to snap them back together to protect the wiring from exposure and potential damage.Notes: when the battery gets depleted volume and fidelity is reduced and there s no active noise reduction. There s a compartment for spare batteries in the case. This is the Apple" variant of the QC-25."

Some of the characteristics of the product I decided to further examine was the durability of the product, the comfort and the noise cancelation. Positive Characteristics Some of the things I enjoy about the product are the sound quality, the comfort and the case that comes with the headphones. The sound quality is top notch compared to some other headphones I have owned. The noise cancelling really sells the product. Even at low volumes, it is still hard to hear the outside noise around you. Furthermore, it is easy to turn on the noise cancellation. All you have to do is push forward a switch to turn it on. I can honestly say that Bose does the best job with noise cancelation. The product is very comfortable to wear. The large ear pads are great for people who wear glasses, like me. The headphones are also durable thanks to the protective case you get when you purchase the product. After all of times I have used this product, I have never really been concerned with the headphonesfalling apart. Cons There are just a couple of small problems I have had with these headphones. One problem is the price. Even though they cost a lot, I still think they are worth the purchase. The headphone wire can be a little annoying. Its hard to go and workout while wearing these headphones due to the wire that comes with it. Another thing I dislike is that if you upgrade your iPhone, you will most likely have to get a specific cord that matches the headphone jack. Overview Overall, I am very satisfied with my purchase of these headphones. The audio quality was very sharp, and the headphones are light and easy to use. The ability to feel comfortable while wearing these is incredibly nice, and the small compact carrying case makes it easy to bring the headphones with you wherever you go.
I bought these because of noisy neighbors . they are great for listening to music, but do absolutely nothing to block the outside noise as far as I can tell . I had a pair of these, bought new, around 13 years ago, and those blocked absolutely all outside sound . they were perfect . I was hoping that these would be the same, but as they are refurbished, that sound blocking feature is no longer there.
