After ditching my old amazon bought earbuds and wearing over the had headphones for the better part of a year or so, I finally decided to get myself new earbuds. Yes. But here is my breakdown of all the features, from someone who has been producing and making music in studios for over a decade, I know a little thing or two about sound. Yes. But here is my breakdown of all the features, from someone who has been producing and making music in studios for over a decade, I know a little thing or two about sound. So here goes. The Fit:Having the option between 3 different ear tip buds and 3 different wing bands leaves you with a good amount of choice in finding the fit that works for you, initially I found a good fit and the earbuds stay pretty firm in my ears for the most part. They have yet to actually fall out but I do find myself adjusting the left earbud quite frequently, as I get the feeling that it's going to fall out. This is quite annoying but manageable, and will be different for each user. I'm confident you'll find a good enough fit. The earbuds are comfortable for long periods of time and I have worn them for working out and they do stay put, but again, I find myself adjusting them a bit. Overall 4/5.The sound:I was expecting great things from the sound but overall, it is okay. It certainly isn't the best I've experienced, but certainly not the worst. The tuning is very well balanced I think, and there's no unusual emphasis on the Bass which is what a lot of companies tend to do so you get a fairly equal sound. I do sometimes find the high ends to be a bit harsh, particularly when listening to distorted guitar solos (Metallica, Megadeth etc) but this isn't too often. I do wish the sound would go louder though, My old earbuds would go very loud before hitting that phone sound warning that said you are in hearing loss territories but the QC2 don't go very loud before hitting that threshold, I find myself on the highest setting before the mark which is annoying because sometimes you want that loudness. This is probably my biggest gripe in terms of the sound, as a musician I appreciate the overall balance that these earbuds provide, but again, for the absolute best sound experience there are probably better earbuds out there. Overall 4/5The noise cancelling and aware mode:Easily the best noise cancelling I've personally ever experienced. The quiet mode setting, truly gets rid of the outside world, it is remarkable. I can walk down the street with the setting enabled, with cars roaring passed me and I barely notice they are there, I'm focused on the sound on my ears which is an absolute blessing. The aware mode, which simulates Apples transparency mode is okay, I find there to be quite a bit of unnatural white noise which can become a bit tiresome after a while but overall it does a decent job. It also has an automatic feature which dampens loud sound around you (for example a door slamming) which is quite cool, but feels a bit weird. The noise cancelling though? Excellent. Overall 5/5The app:I'm really not the biggest fan of the app. It's plain, boring, uninspired and you really don't get a lot from it. There's some tips and 'tricks' on there that really just tell you how to get the best fit for your ears etc. It let's you set two more custom noise settings (letting you adjust the level of noise cancelling and aware mode levels.) There's an EQ which lets you adjust the Bass, Mids, and Highs on the earbuds but you only get 3 bands which compared to other sound apps (JBL for instance) is quite terrible. If you want to adjust the sound I would recommend using a separate app with more customising options. Most of the time I find the earbuds cannot connect to the app anyway and without the connection, you are unable to do anything on the app, rendering it completely useless. Overall once you've had a look at the app, set your EQ preferences and set your noise modes, you won't be using it much and it's quite forgettable.Overall I'd give these earbuds a 4/5. With a good fit, good sound, great noise cancelling and and okay app these earbuds are certainly up there in terms of what you can buy. I do however think they are overpriced. I personally just do not think they are that good to be charging one of the highest prices on the market for earbuds, if you can get these discounted then certainly go for it but at full price, I do think there are probably pretty good cheaper alternatives. If you're main buying point is noise cancelling though, you probably want to take the plunge on these though. Do I regret buying them? No, they are good. But think carefully about how much you are willing to spend.

The Rep was great, no complaints about him, but I don't understand how Bose is selling a product that is already out of warranty. Plus it is taking 5 days before they get it, 5 more days to review that product, and 5 days after that before I receive a replacement product back from them. That is a total of 15 business days and they didn't even offer to reimbursement me or ship the other products over night like I originally paid for. Bose is a great product but I definitely will research other products before my next order.

I don't like that it only can lay on its side, but that's a minor quibble. More challenging is the fact that it's not particularly easy to remove the buds from the case--and they are not in the correct, ear insertion position when you do. Also, they are a bit of a hassle to reseat in the case. Related to the same, seemingly, is the fact that I've owned these buds for almost 2 weeks now and they have only fully recharged ONE TIME. And I only use them for just under 30 minutes during my cardio workout, 5 times a week, and I replace them in the case after wiping them with my towel post-workout. I also make sure they are seated correctly and that the amber light is lit after inserting each individual bud. YET, they don't predictably charge. I've removed them from the charging case after 24 hours of charging in a fully charged case, and they have 10% and 20% charge. This happened more than once. Sometimes they are 50% charged. Sometimes 80% charged. And, I repeat, I use them for less than 30 minutes and leave them in the charging case for approximately 24 hours between uses, sometimes 48 hours (given that I do cardio 5 days a week and don't wear them during the rest of my workout).Lastly, they are comfortable in-ear, but I do find myself repositioning them every now and again to maintain the highest level of noise cancellation. This is minor, but still an annoyance given the price point and advertised descriptions of comfort/stability while wearing.I HATE that I have to continually troubleshoot them in an attempt to circumvent the above-mentioned issues, but I just haven't found an all-around good ear bud and these are good in a few important ways. That said, even while cross-referencing Bose forums and the internet in general to find fixes for the mentioned issues, I haven't found any solutions that have worked to correct these issues. All told, I feel like I will return them... We'll see.

I have worn these earbuds for 2-3 hours at a time and never did my ears feel any fatigue during or after as I've experienced on other in ear headphones and earbuds. The one tiny downside of my earbuds is that when watching my TV in front of my treadmill the earbuds dont have much volune and i havent found how i can take conttol if the volume of the actual buds whike connected to the tv unit but this is a small issue really asI rarely use headphones on my treadmill. The bottom line is I'm thoroughly happy with my Bose earbuds and enjoy using them as they seem to have given new life to my music and workouts.I will definitely keep my eye out for more Bose products in the future when shopping for audio products.
Sorry to say that these are total junk. Not surprising though; everything is nowadays - given the terrible trade agreements that are being forced on the citizens of the USA from this govt-administration in 2020-24. With that being said, however, the earbuds are working fairly good enough. The components on the inside of the case are exposed and made of cheap materials that break and catch if you are not careful. They don't charge well either. I charge them for days (plugged in properly & connected) and when I go to use them, they only have 10% BATTERY life - often. They are so unreliable that I don't even plan on using them anymore bc I never can. They used to block the sound out very well in quiet mode; but now they don't even go in quiet mode anymore. I've had them for less than 3 months. The volume is good. The ear-piece touch controls work sporadically. Flawed, flawed, flawed. It is just not worth purchasing anything that is not a necessity now a days bc it is ALL JUNK.My first pair needed to be returned, and these are likely going back too. Ridiculous. It's like they don't want us to have anything?! Sam's has been great so far with pricing and returns.
I'm a big fan of Bose audio products; in particular their ANR headphones and earbuds. I own the QC45 and 700 over the ear headphones and they are excellent in terms of comfort, sound quality, and of course, noise cancelling capability. I purchased the Gen1 QC Earbuds last year and was skeptical that they could offer noise cancelling that could compare with the over the ear full size headphones and to my surprise they do! When I saw that a Gen2 QC Earbud was coming out I pre-ordered a set right away. These new buds are much sleeker design, while they fit OK and provide multiple pieces to customize them to your ear I think the Gen1 buds feel like they fit better to me. The sound quality is excellent; I'm no audiophile but using the app equalizer to tweak things a bit they make music or a podcast come in nice and clear.I've read a lot of professional reviews that claim that the ANR is better than the Gen1 buds but to be honest I'm not sure I can tell a lot of difference, both are incredibly good. With any of these buds you MUST make sure the fit is snug or you will not get the full noise cancelling benefit. With these Gen2 Bose buds after using the medium tips that it came with I found that I had to move up to the large size and it made a huge difference in ANR results. My Gen1 Bose QC buds worked great with the medium tips. I had the same issue with another brand's buds too.On the bud controls are essentially the same as the earlier model and just as intuitive and convenient. Also, Bluetooth connectivity to my Pixel 6 phone was fast and easy.Battery life is decent at around 6 hours and having two additional charges in the case makes these a perfect travel companion. Speaking of the case, compared to the clunky Gen1 case this new case is smaller and more compact and looks to be made from higher quality plastic compared to the kind of cheesy originals. I also prefer the new magnetic closer, the old case had a manual push button and was at times hard to open.Overall, the new Bose Quiet Comfort Earbuds are an excellent choice for someone looking for a high end listening experience and state of the art noise cancelling.
These earbuds are great, without a doubt. Sound quality is very good, but the main reason I purchased them was for the noise cancelling properties. I have a 15 month old who screams frequently for the joy of it. The noise cancellation itself is very good, but no match for our little fella's screams, but the aware feature with active sense or whatever its called is just fantastic. For anyone else who uses earbuds for this kind of reason, you'll know that constantly having noise cancelling on locks you in your head and stops you from being able to take part in normal life. As such, I was particularly interested in the active sense feature which allows you to take part in normal life by hearing what's going on around you, but actively seeks to cut out loud or intrusive ... For anyone else who uses earbuds for this kind of reason, you'll know that constantly having noise cancelling on locks you in your head and stops you from being able to take part in normal life. As such, I was particularly interested in the active sense feature which allows you to take part in normal life by hearing what's going on around you, but actively seeks to cut out loud or intrusive sounds. It works incredibly well on these things. After spending a couple of £hundred on earplugs and ear defenders and having purchased Sont WF-1000xm5 and WH-1000xm5 for this purpose, I now use these all the time. They won't necessarily catch the start of a single scream, but they will cut in to reduce the impact of any that follow in quick succession. Also, they seem to reduce the frequency of even the initial scream, and it has always been the frequency of the screams which I found hardest to stomach. As I've been writing out little man has decided to start screaming as he wanted some water, and they didn't cut in immediately, but quickly enough to suppress the following ones to the point where it was was obviously audible, but the frequency and volume were subdued. The app is pretty poor. Other than initially connecting once charged buds are removed from the case (which does give enough time to use the fit test function to ensure that the noise cancelling will work as effectively as possible) the app will not then connect again to the buds, which is extremely irritating if you have to remove one or both of the buds for any reason as you can't then check the ear seal. However, I can personally forgive the rubbish app as the noise cancelling/aware with active sense is so effective. I should also add, that for my specific purposes, the noise cancelling on these is better than on both the WH and WF xm5s from Sony. I appreciated that others, with different needs may have a different experience though. I purchased the xl/xs stability bands and buds to make these fit properly for me, whereas the Sony WF-1000xm5 I found to offer a better out of the box fit.
I have owned these earbuds for 12 days now. I love the fit and the active noise canceling, and the quality of the sound. I give the sound and ANC and comfort five stars. However, I have been having problems with the app. It disconnects often and at one point it took me a half an hour to get them to connect again. Just tonight the volume stopped working properly and it would not increase or decrease. The app did not work, but neither did my phone volume button. I'm a bit frustrated that high quality earbuds like Bose have such problems with the app and connection. I give the app only three stars, maybe even two at sometimes when I'm frustrated. If I could ask for something to be added to the app, it would be the ability to turn off the ANC and save battery, and to ... My w8fe and I have 3 other pairs of Bose Quiet earbuds. We are going on a missions trip and need at least 8 hours of battery life. We purchased this new pair, they seem improved over the previous versions, the ear inserts stay in place better than the previous pair I had called Bose Oasis. I returned this pair for replacement, because one bud would only charge to 80 to 90%.Sam's sent out my replacements immediately, I in turn sent my originals back the next day. This is excellent customer service. The rice point was amazing, return will be here tomorrow, I I leave in 4 days for Brazil, 11 hour night flight, I need these buds for maximum quiet, so I can sleep in the plane. With technology there us always a chance of failure, though even at 80% these were lasting ... I antisapate the full charge version may last through the night, which would actually be longer than advertized. Another amazing Bose product and Sam's has made this an excellent experience and purchase.
