There is NO better deal out there for any type of speaker. To pay $100 for a $200 BOSE speaker is unbelievable!!. It is considered refurbished but you'll NEVER know. The way it's packaged and the condition is always as new. I am very very picky about my audio video equipment and I could not find even a tiny imperfection on these speakers and this is my third one. Got one for me, my wife and another for a gift. And of course you can't find another at this size and price point that beats it.

I was very satisfied with the quality of the sound of the soundbar. But I could not program it to my Dish remote or my Vizio remote. I was able to program it to a Phillips universal remote which I was surprised it took it. Now I have 1 remote instead of having 3 remotes to deal with. But other than that, the sound coming out is great. I do have a Vizio soundbar on my basement TV and it does not have the same quality as the Bose. I would highly recommend this soundbar.

When it arrived and I tried to hook it up to my Toshiba TV via the optical cable supplied (recommended method in the instruction booklet), it produced zero sound. Additionally, the remote control, the only way to operate it (no controls on the bar itself) is a poor design for a unit this pricey. The remote only worked within inches of the bar and only at one orientation. Eventually, I connected the bar to my Directv receiver via RCA jacks. It did produce a great sound. I contacted Bose. They were very helpful and told me to ship it back to them and they would exchange it when they got the defective one back. I told them to test the unit before they ship it to me. It will be interesting to see if the replacement unit behaves as it should. Time will tell.
Owned this product for a few weeks, and it's working fine, like it was brand new. I would have more to say about the product after a few months or even a year; however, compared to the UE Boom 2 we were using this sound bar is an improvement. I had ceiling speakers in my property on all my public rooms, but those did not prove useful when it's about an isolated living room space, especially, for watching movies. Therefore, for a space that is around up to 700 SF, this is quite useful. I had B&O systems and Sonos (+ Bose ceiling speakers) in the past, but realistically, this option is the most affordable. One cannot even tell the difference between the brand-new vs this refurbished version. The plus side is that eBay provides the additional 2-years Allstate warranty.
I have been wanting a Bose sound bar. I love the quality of the Bose products. I have a few different items that they make and I have been really happy! This sound bar has been on TV and I wanted to get it but my budget didn't allow for the brand new. I am happy to find this refurbished unit at the price I paid. It looks like new and works flawlessly. I have had experience with refurbished items and find that they are better looked over than the items on the shelf, so I felt comfortable purchasing this sound bar.

Its 5 star for me. I bought 4 of these since I tried one. I connected one to every tv in my house. I wanted a tv sound that is better than the tv sound and this Bose sound bar is perfect . I dont need all that fancy sound effects or loud sound effects from other sound bars that I tried. This one just gives out clear a sound dialogue and a clear minimal sound effects which is perfect for me at home. If I want all that fancy sounds, Ill go to a movie theater and enjoy it . My house is not built like a movie theater and I dont like it to sound like a movie theater when Im home and just relaxing
This soundbar was purchased for my 90 year old mother-in-law who has trouble hearing the rear firing TV speakers. Not only does it sound better than the TV speakers it also has an option to enhance the sound of dialogue (which gives voices a welcome boost). It looks good sitting in front of the TV. Unfortunately the volume can only be controlled by using the included remote. Neither the TV (Sharp Aquos) nor the cable box (Optimum) remotes will pair up to work the soundbar. This may become problematic when my mother-in-law forgets she has more than one way of controlling volume; the remote is also on the small side and may be easily lost. The soundbar has optical (cable included) and RCA inputs (Bluetooth also). Mounting brackets are also included.
I realized I needed to add a sound bar to our 75" basement TV. The TV speakers didn't sound bad but in a large room it required "more cow bell". I needed to find a sound bar that I could mount below our TV and above an electric fireplace so this compact SB fit the bill. I like the "dialog mode" setting that really allows you to hear voices/speech very clearly.This SB connected automatically to my Samsung TV using the optical connection cord provided.The wall mount was also easy to install.
