Instead of toneless, fuzzy distortion, the DS-1 faithfully reproduces all the subtle nuances of playing dynamics-at any volume. The BOSS Distortion DS-1 is an up-to-date unit, and is provided with control knobs for Distortion, Level and Tone. It can produce a range of distortion tones from mellow to intense. The more you turn the distortion knob clockwise, the thicker the sound and the longer the sustain time gets.
