These speakers are excellent. I had tested them versus the larger speakers in the S3 700 line. They definitely sound different, but I didn't think inferior and in my apartment they soundgreat. Very crisp highs with that very detailed high-frequency sound definition, and I thought the base was fuller than on the larger speakers. Unless you have a huge room, these are excellent speakers

I bought a pair of Bowers & Wilkins 700 Series Floor standing Speakers. They were the 704 S3 Speaker which has two 6 1/2" Bass drivers & one 1" Tweeter. I made four trips to Best Buy Clearwater. I connected my cell phone to the audio equip in the listening room and selected diverse types of music from YouTube female vocalists to symphonies and compared the sound from all of the speakers in the room to the B&W 704 S43. On each trip there was a different staff member present. It was unanimous on every trip, the B&W 704 S3 was the best sounding speaker in the room. I highly recommend a trip to BestBuy to go check them out for yourself.

I originally walked into the store expecting to get an SVS Sub and Klipsch Towers/Center Channel. I made the mistake of bringing the wife with me and walking into the demo room... She loved the B&W towers look and size, plus the sound was head and shoulders clearer than everything else in the room.
bought these a couple of weeks ago and i am really enjoying them. the sound quality is fantastic. i was worried they might be a bit bright in the higher frequencies but they are well balanced and they perform really well for many different genres. if you like music with heavy bass then i recommend getting a subwoofer to give these speakers some back up in the lower ranges - it makes perfect sense. i got ASW610 sub also from B&W and am loving how everything sounds. oh and they look very handsome, lovely finish on them
