This toothbrush is amazing, by far the best electric toothbrush I have used. Where do I start, this product cleans my teeth so well, the performance involved with this tool is superb. This product has advanced bluetooth connectivity to the Oral-B app which is involved with AI and real time detection through the app. The detection allows you to obtain knowledge on when and where you need to focus on brushing your teeth and the amount of pressure which is safe to use for your gums. Awesome Features

Lots more technology than my old Oral B type 3728 professional from 2017. I would rate the toothbrush itself 5 stars. I have an IO9. The Oral B app I would rate at 2 stars. I don't believe the Coverage information that I am given is accurate. 85 to 85% coverage is NOT accurate. I have tried the suggested tooth to tooth and then breaking my brushing into quadrants and I am ABSOLUTELY sure I am hitting ALL tooth surfaces. If you use the unguided portion then all you get is the brushing time and overpressure. The best session score I have had was the very first time that I used the toothbrush. It was a 76. Tooth Coverage was 97%- time was 2 min 53 seconds and over pressure was 4 seconds. Good toothbrush but poor design

I purchased this toothbrush just over 2 years ago. It is a great toothbrush in that it has loads of features however the head design is severely flawed. The toothbrush heads do not stand up so water does not drain away. There are holes in the heads which I assume are to allow water to drain an away however this does not happen. I always remove the head and air it out to dry but mould grows inside the head shaft and when you clean it with a brush and bang it repeatedly big chunks of mould fall out. This is disgusting because it’s what you are putting in your mouth. If I hadn’t spent so much money on this I wouldn’t keep using it. OralB not resolving battery issue

I had the Oral-B Genius 7000 series and 5000 series for over a decade. I recently gifted the iO Series 8 which was meant to be quieter, more compact and have better battery life.I started having issues with the device after about 6 months. It would randomly switch off even though it showed battery level above 50%. I tried troubleshooting using instructions on their website which didnt help. I eventually sent it in for repairs. I was given a new toothbrush. After about 6 months with the new toothbrush I started experiencing the same issues as the old toothbrush. It would randomly switch off and need charging even though it was charged a few days earlier and the indicator showed more than 50%. The worst toothbrush on the market

Such an expensive mistake! I bought it to replace my old toothbrush (genius 9000), which I had for years and it wore out. The app was telling me to use more pressure, but I actually found it a little painful! So depending on how sensitive you are, you might want to try out the sensitive or super sensitive setting. I personally have not been using the toothbrush long enough to really notice. So far, I can say it is not as good as my old toothbrush’s however it is to be expected with the technology in the brush. When Beautyheaven picked me to trial this via the July Discovery bag it felt like the teeth gods were finally smiling down on me. Pun intended. Simply put: I have bad teeth. For various reasons I've had a lot of dental work performed in my life. One of the things I liked about the iO 9 was the sensitive and featherlight sensitive options, I have some deep fillings that need crowns over the top so I have to be gentle on my teeth until they're done. I used all the options on this brush but sensitive was my default. The brush itself has a screen that smiles if you brush well and scrolls through the settings with colourful icons. I thought it might tell me I had missed a spot but it does'nt, because it's just a generic image of a persons teeth. The app will let you know if you are brushing too hard or too soft on the screen and prompt you. There are medals you can earn to fill up your 'piggy bank' , some of them make sense but some are a bit pointless in my opinion, like the Midnight Brusher medal you can earn if you brush between midnight and 3am for 5 days - suitable for a shift worker or insomniac maybe?. It has a whitening setting that removed stains I get as a coffee drinker, my dentist can remove these at my regular checkup but so did this brush used with a whitening toothpaste. They faded on the sensitive setting but the whitening setting made it quicker. I also really liked the gum and tongue cleaning options. My tongue feels really clean afterwards, similar to the feeling I get when I exfoliate my skin.The brush looks very sleek and stylish, it does'nt have a rim and I found that water and foam quickly slid down the handle. It's attached magnetically to the stand and can be easy to knock off. I sometimes found it hard to pair with my wi-fi and am not great with technology, it took a while to get used to and I ended up using an old phone specifically for this app. It was handy to keep it in my bathroom. The brush works without the app but you won't benefit fully from it if you use it without the app, and it would be pointless to buy it if you were'nt prepared to. A brush head is expected to last about 3 months and you can set the app to remind you of when it's due to be replaced. They cost approx $40 for a pack of two. A higher price than other ones on the market, just like the brush itself.Which brings us to the million dollar question (or should that be the $749 question?). Is it worth it? For me it is. I know it sounds expensive and you are thinking of all the other things you could spend your money on, like a pair of designer shoes for example. But trust me, just like designer shoes real teeth are better than a fake. Dental problems can really lower your quality of life and hurt your self-esteem.Anyone can benefit from this toothbrush but if you are one of the lucky ones who gets the all-clear at your regular check-up, or you don't want the hassle of installing an app on your phone and using technology to brush your teeth, then the iO range of brushes might not be right for you.

It has a settings option for choosing language, customising colour display options, factory reset and enabling bluetooth to connect to an Oral-B App. The App has features to track your brushing sessions and develop a history to help you get the most out of your brushing experience. You can also set goals if you have certain issues you need to address or results you are wanting to achieve. I personally found there were a few glitches with the App and stopped using it after two weeks. The brush comes with a magnetic charger that I have only had to use once during my trial, as the battery life is fantastic. It also comes with a charging travel case and a twin brush head holder for easy travel or simple a more hygienic storage option.Overall, I believe this electric toothbrush is well worth the investment, but it does have a few downsides I feel I need to mention, which is why I gave it 4 stars not 5. Firstly, for me the brush head is a little big and often found myself hitting my adjacent teeth which resulted in an unpleasant vibration. Secondly, there is no pause option to allow for spitting throughout the session without having to restart the timer and if you try to remove the brush from your mouth while running, it makes an awful mess. Finally, I found the travel case a little lacking in quality and could be a bit troublesome to open. It also has a charger specific to it and therefore, if you lose it, break it or forget it, it will render the case just that, a case.

I have had the best time giving my new Oral B iO Series 9N a great trial over the past month. To get started I downloaded the app that connects the brush via bluetooth to my phone. I love the added 30 second tongue cleaning feature it is really comfortable on my tongue and cleaned it so well and it also acts as a reminder more to do it as I am a very visual person and have found it the best reminder.What I love the most are the added features such as the daily coaching feature as it tells you areas you have missed, when are where you are applying too much or too little pressure you can see this on your phone but if you aren’t looking at it while brushing and can see yourself in the mirror it lights up red if too heavy or green which is just right and white/light blue for when the pressure is too light, it just depends on how you are brushing. Featuring 16 tracked zones I enjoy watching the screen on my phone as it is counting down from 2 minutes and as I correctly brush each zone it disappears and what I really like is that it doesn’t disappear if that area hasn’t been done. The time you have been brushing also counts up on the brush if you don’t want to use the feature on your phone I like this a lot.As a coffee enthusiast prior to receiving this as part of the July Winter Discovery Bag I would see my dental hygienist every 3-6 months for a clean in particular to remove the stains I often have on my two front teeth which I can’t stand. After my first use of my Oral B iO Series 9N they have totally disappeared.Other handy features include its travel case that can also charge the toothbrush (with cable) magnetic stand and a battery life lasts 2 weeks and the option for the app to tell me when my head needs replacing I love a reminder so I selected yes to that option.

There is a ring light that will light up green when the pressure you are applying is just right, and red if you are applying too much pressure and at risk of damaging your gums and enamel.There is timer that goes off every 30 seconds to help you to brush each section of teeth for the same amount of time.Come to the app (available on Google Play and App Store), you'll be able to unlock further features by connecting your toothbrush via bluetooth. It has a panel to show you how many days you have remaining on your current brush head, allow you to set goals and save your brushing history. Perhaps the most useful I find is the feature that maps your teeth as you brush, to show you which areas you are neglecting or over-cleaning.It is definitely a superior toothbrush to anything I have ever used. I was impressed with how much cleaner my teeth felt. The only downside is the cost, and the cost of the replacement toothbrush heads which is around $40 for 2.
